No $3 Bic Soleil Shimmer razor coupon found in the 7/10 SS in Southern IN 🙁 Was I missing it, or was this a region that didn’t get it?

    • melissa

      coupons are always regional.

    • laura

      i got mine illinois

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am in IL as well and didn’t receive the Bic one or a few others. May I ask what paper you got yours from? Thanks 🙂

        • Amber

I live in IL and got the Bic coupon in the Chicago Tribune. It was not in our local paper (Pantagraph).

          • Marie

Last week Target had Bic Soleil on sale for $3.99. I hope they still have it today!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

We had them in our Indianapolis Star today!

      • Melissa D. H.

Yep, got mine in the Indy Star.

    • LTibbs

Does anyone know if that $3 coupon is working on the Bic Solei Shimmer replacement blades? I already have the razor! Please let me know if anyone has tried it. I think it says good on the razor system so I’m thinking it may not work. ( I don’t have it in front of me )
      Thanks!

      • Shannon

Yes, it does say “on any BIC Soleil Disposable or Soleil System Razor.”

    • AshATL

You’re not missing anything. I ahve a bunch of these from previous deals, and I used one the other day. Gave me TERRIBLE razor burn. Yes, I used shaving cream. I’m bummed I have so many that I’ll have to get rid of.

  12. O. Rivera

I’ve been using the rewards printed on the receipt + rewards on line for double savings. Didn’t know you could do that but it works!

    • Q

O Rivera you use your ecbs on the bottom of the receipt and print them out online and use them again?

      • melissa

You cannot use the same ECBs that have printed on your receipt as well as print them from your online account. The online option is a backup in case you loose or misplace your current extra bucks. There is also supposed to be an option to send extra bucks to your card, but none of mine have that yet.

    • Kathy

You are not allowed to do this!

    • JaiMchl

You are definitely not allowed to misuse the system…this is why the system is changing so much…

    • AshATL

Just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

  13. Smitha

I had a question. Is it not possible to use the $5.00/5 Kellogg’s Cereal coupon to purchase the Crunchy nut cereal?

    • Collin

Yes, you should be able to! I totally forgot about that coupon!

      • Smitha

        🙂

  14. Yessi

I just printed out $11 worth of ECB online!!! that I had no clue I had 😛 Thanks Collin!!! guys register at cvs.com then go to the extracare tab see what ECB you have scored!!! 🙂

    • JaiMchl

You are not allowed to use the extracare bucks twice like that…shame on you for not using coupon etiquette 🙁

      • Lola

Her ECB were probably her quarterly ECB’s. I don’t think she is double dipping. Once they are printed they are gone…….

        • JaiMchl

No that is not case you can print the ecb online more than once but they are suppose to be there for a back up in case you lose them or misplace them instead of calling the 1-800 number…

          • Sheila

I don’t think it is what you think it is. I have gotten my quarterly ECBs in store, and redeemed them in store. If I check online they are no longer there. So once you get and redeem your ECBs they are not going to show up online anymore. It doesn’t seem like there is any abuse going on here.

  15. Erika

It seems like the deals have not been good the last few weeks…its like how much toothpaste/toothbrushes can a person need lol

Maybe its just me bc I’m trying to go more green

    • melissa

I don’t see anything I absolutely need this week. So tired of toothbrushes, makeup, body wash, shampoo! My fav cashier let me flip through next weeks ad last night and its not any better!

  16. Freddie

Yessi, thanks for letting me know about the ECB online. I knew nothing about it and found $4, in my cvs account. Thanks again.

    • JaiMchl

Please do not misuse the system…this is not proper coupon etiquette 🙁

      • Melissa

Yessi and Freddie are not misusing the system; they are simply getting the ECBs that they’ve earned – not using them twice, as someone else has been discussing on this thread. I think you are confusing two different conversations.

        • JaiMchl

I dont think so…I know what im talking about and so do they

  17. Kara

I just bought a GreenTag at CVS for a dollar. After 4 visits I will get a $1 ExtraCare Buck printed out and the tag never expires. I am loving CVS.

  18. O. Rivera

I didn’t think you could use the ECB at the bottom of the receipt + the one on-line but I’ve been able to. The other day I took both, asked the cashier if I could use them. She said if she scanned them and they both worked then I shouldn’t have a prob. They both worked!

    • DP

Regardless if they “worked” that is NOT supposed to be done.

      • angela

totally agree! you are redeeming the bucks twice!!!

      • Kathy

        AGREE!!

      • babymama1205

umm ur wrong sorry. What is available online has NOT printed in the store yet and further more if one does print in the store it is no longer available online. I think perhaps some of you are misinterpreting what is being done here so perhaps go back and re read to better understand.

        • JaiMchl

No you are misinformed…what is online is what has been printed on the bottom of the receipt…and you can print that ecb more than once but only for good cause like you lost or misplaced them the only time its not available is if you have the option of sending the ecbs’ to your card…I think you need to go to CVS.com and reread…

        • melissa

It takes a day or so once you use your receipt ecb to drop from the online print option. go to cvs.com and ck your online ecb account. it will list all current ECBs that printed on your receipt with the option to print. If you have the receipt ecb, there should be no need to print AND redeem a 2nd copy. This is EXACTLY why cvs got rid of that option a few years ago, b/c of misuse.

    • Kathy

      You should NOT use both!

    • JaiMchl

Shame on you for not using coupon etiquette 🙁

      • Rebecca

Why are you scolding people for doing something that they may not know is wrong? I think you can kindly explain the issue and direct them to where they can find the official information for themselves without laying down a guilt trip and so much judgement. This kind of stuff is what scares so many newbies away. They are scared of doing it wrong.

    • Steph

That’s costing the store and ultimately the customers. You know it’s wrong, so stop it.

  19. Diane

Here’s another great deal if you received the $5 red box coupon a couple of weeks ago:
Clairol Perfect 10 hair color on sale for $7.99
    Red Box Coupon -$5
Coupon from recent insert -$3 (Sorry, I don’t remember which insert.)
    *Makes it free!

    • alicia

I don’t see a $3 off cvs coupon, mine is $1.50 off clairol, I have a $3 off john frieda

  20. angie

thanks for all your great match ups, and wanted to let ya’ll know I go an awsome coupon from the magic coupon machine. $10 off a $50 purchase. This worked out even better seeing that I had a $ 4 off $20 coupon wich they combined since I had spent $76. After my other coupons I spent $33 out of pocket, then got back 2 EBC’s and the $10 gas card.

  21. Megan

I don’t know if everyone knows or not but the cashier at CVS yesterday told me you are no longer allowed to double dip coupons there..(meaning if they have something on sale B1get 1 50% off then you can’t use a coupon on both products…u can only use a coupon on the first product. I have not looked this up yet but she said it changed about a month ago and many people are losing their jobs because they are over riding the machine when it peeps because of the 2nd coupon…so please be nice and make sure we are following the rules because us saving a dollar isn’t worth someone losing their job.

    • CJ

If you are paying something for both items as on a B1G1 50% off, you should be able to use a coupon on each. I agree that if it’s B1G1 free you shouldnt use 2 coupons because one item is already free, but if the 2nd item is half off there should be no reason you couldnt use a coupon up to the price of the 2nd item.

  22. Emily

No CVS for me this week – the deals have been pretty thin lately, haven’t they?

    • Collin

      🙁

  23. Vicki S.

It doesn’t seem right to use both ECBs BUT to settle things for everyone, why not just ask CVS to be on the safe side and follow what they say so everyone wins. Let’s play nice, be fair and argue without insulting each other.

    • Julie

I agree, just ask the cashier (which is what one person did). The whole “shame on you” thing makes me feel like I’m talking to my toddlers. I appreciate all the posts everyone has, but it gets tiring scrolling through all the bickering back and forth.

      • JaiMchl

It does; doesnt it?…Being a coupon friendly cashier I try to make everyone happy which includes the customer and management! Sometimes its not easy…

      • MommySpendsLess

I agree with the theory but I wouldn’t ask a cashier. There are many great ones but I’m sure we’ve all encountered at least one cashier at a store who had no clue when it comes to coupons.

In general, just because one cashier lets you do something, doesn’t mean that’s the official policy. I worked in customer service years ago and I know for a fact that some of my co-workers would do/allow things that management specifically told us we weren’t suppose to do, simply because it could be done and they were too lazy or shy to disagree with the customer. When the same customer encountered me on another visit they were doubly upset when I told them (politely of course) such-and-such wasn’t permitted because they’d been allowed to do it the first time.

Wow, that was more tangent-y than intended…long story short, I’m all for official answers but it may be better to contact corporate in writing and get a written response back than rely on an underpaid hourly employee that could be new to the position/company.

    • Couponmickey

      Great idea 🙂

  24. Yessi

You kiddin??? I had no idea there were a back up from the printed out ecb i tough i scored them through purchases and didnt print out at the register i had no idea there were backups… Glad i found out, but anyways… Isnt it a lil rude to jude so hard when you have no idea it was a mistake? And i didnt do it knowing it was wrong? Oh well…

  25. Yessi

JaiMchl: i shop at cvs every week and go throught at least 5 transactions on each trip so i can use all my ecb, online all i had showing was 3 ecb… So is kind of surprising that out of a minimum of 5 ecb a week that i get only 3 where up there? I beilive just like coupon codes after ecb are scanned they are no longer valid and the register wont scam them. But again like other ppl said we should take it to cvs Attention and get and answer so we can all stop being shamed on… 🙂

I talked to a manager just the other day who said the ECB’s online are there for 24 hours after they print on your receipt, but are not supposed to be used twice. As others have commented, they are just there for backup, but Mgr. said some people have figured out that they can go straight home after using them & reprint online. Not very honest. Don’t think the original commenter was intentionally using them twice, but that was from my CVS Mgr. so just be aware.

I was looking forward to reading what deals people have scored this week, but instead read a lot about “shame on you” stuff 🙁

Anyways, does anyone have a great scenario for the $3 out of $10 pain relief magic coupon machine? It expires today!

Just had to let you guys in on a great deal I got today at my local CVS. They had marked the Pure & Natural Huggies down to $2.87 and paired with the $2.50 coupon from a few weeks ago it made for .37 diapers per pack.

That is an awesome deal. Good for you! BTW are you THE coupon teacher or is that a name you just use on here?

If you have been getting alot of toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoos, etc. the past couple of weeks for great deals – be excited! Be grateful for what money you can save yourself/your family and maybe someone else. Look for people in your church who are in need or in your community and donate/give away your extra! Be happy – you don’t know when those deals will come to pass.

I got a coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine today for $2 off the Dove Visible Care body wash. With mfr. coupon, CVS coupon and ECB makes the body wash $0.99. So look for that coupon if you are interested in this item. Good deal. 🙂

Don’t know if anyone is still reading this post but I’m curious…I was looking to use the L’Oreal ECB and the Complete Multi Purpose ECB…do I need to do those in seperate transactions?
    Thanks!

    • MommySpendsLess

Nope! CVS is much less complicated than Walgreens. You can use as many ECB’s as you want without regard to the manufacturer or product as long as you don’t go over your order total (ie they won’t give you cash back).

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

wanted to add..you can go over your total, they won’t give you cash back..i.e., if you total is finally down to .80, you can give them a $1 ecb…just won’t get change..if you want to get rid of some ecbs that might expire (some stores take them and some don’t), the pennies might not matter.

Hi, not sure if anyone is still reading the posts on here but i went to CVS today to do the exact same scenario as Collin’s to get the free $10 gas card but after I had paid and was expecting the $10 gas card coupon to print along with it, it did not. They said that this was because I had used coupons that had brought me below the $30 and was counted as only having bought $18 worth of qualifying items. Since Collin has put up this scenario with coupons, I am assuming that you are allowed and can use coupons to get this deal. How do I go about getting it for next week? Am I doing something wrong?
