Wow 108 Batteries? I wonder when the exp. date will be on these….hmmm

  4. Amy

WOOT!!!!! We plow through AA batteries, and I never have enough rechargeable. Or maybe someone keeps accidentally throwing those away! 🙂 I just hope Cars 2 is still in the theater by the time our tickets arrive. So happy I procrastinated taking the kids to see this one!

    • Kate

Please recycle them at Staples or somewhere like that! I hate seeing all those toxic batteries decomposing into the soil!

  5. lisa

anyone know what theatres these are good at???

    • LeeAnn

It says you receive a Hollywood Movie Money Certificate. The closest one to me is an 1hr drive.

      • Christine

read my comment below- you will love it!

      • Dawn

You could always list it on eBay or Craigslist if you can’t use it. Would be like a mail in rebate…

    • Valerie

You can use it at I think any theatre that accepts credit cards.

  6. sharon

Sweet, cheap batteries! and a movie ticket!

  7. Erin T.

the expiration date won’t be close- Cars2 just hit theaters less than a month ago.

  8. Steph

Maybe it’s just my luck, but on more than one occasion I have had a dead battery fresh out of the pack when I used Rayovac. Makes me leery.

    • Jennifer B.

Same here! I thought it was just me!

  9. mbrown

This is a good deal even without the tickets. I just snagged a 20 pack of AAA last night at wallyworld for $9.99. This is MUCH cheaper!

  10. Julie

It also says certificates are good for any Disney/Touchstone movie.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Swwet, we’ve already seen the cars movie. Hopefully they’re good for awhile.

  11. Tami

We go through a lot of batteries too, so I just ordered three packages! Thanks!!

  12. Dawn

Has anyone used this site before and can vouch for them? I’m always leery about giving out my credit card number to a website I’m not familiar with. I can’t find any type of consumer review for this site online.

    • Valerie

They are a legit site, they are connected to woot.com which is owned by amazon. I have purchased from them many times.

Thanks for posting that. My theater is less than a mile away and also thanks to whomever posted the “good on any disney/touchston movie”… Winnie the Pooh???!! …

Good to know either way you can get the tickets free, even if you have to mail it in.

  14. Alison

You have to have 3 codes to get 1 movie tickets, so 3 packs will only get you 1 ticket, not 3! Just wanted to clarify that!

    • Sarah B

The website does say that there are 3 codes per 36 pack. So each pack of 36 will get you one movie ticket. Buying 3 36 packs will still get you 3 movie tickets (or 9 codes).

  15. Alison

My Walmart had these same 12 packs on sale for $5.99 last week. I bought 3 and was able to use the $2.00 off 1 Rayovac coupons, making them $3.99 each + 1 free movie ticket! Yay! Check your Walmart. They may be on sale!

    • Kelly T

These are (3) of the 12-packs for 5.99….not just one. At your price 3 at 3.99 would be 11.97 and you have to pay tax. This deal, it’s three for 5.99 plus 5.00 shipping for a total of 10.99. It’s an even better deal if you buy three deals for 22.97, making them 2.55 per 12-pack.

      • Alison

My Walmart had these same 12 packs (they were also packaged together in sets of 3) for $5.99.

    • Dawn

Also, look for the 30 packs. I always buy the 30 pack of AA’s at Walmart for $10. There have been Rayovac coupons out lately so you can get $1 (or $2 with the latest coupon) off. I know us couponers are supposed to ALWAYS buy the smallest size but (IMHO) the Rayovac 30 pack are a better deal. My walmart does not sell 2 packs. The smallest I have found was a 6 pack for around $4. I would rather shell out the $10 and get them for $0.30 each (with $1 off coupon) rather than buy the smallest size 6 pk for $0.50 each.

  16. kellie

Looks like they are out of AA size

  17. yangzi

I googled and found more info about the Rayovac Cars 2 Hollywood movie money promo:

“Look for specially marked packages of Rayovac® batteries

3 codes can be redeemed to receive a free print at home Hollywood Movie Money admission certificate to see Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie up to $14.

2 codes can be redeemed to receive a print at home Hollywood Movie Money discount certificate for $6 off Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie.

1 code can be redeemed to receive a print at home Hollywood Movie Money discount certificate for $3 off Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie.”

    • yangzi

Since my movie theater has $5 matinee price, I only need 2 codes to get a free movie ticket for us!?

  18. Lisa Langley

AA size is out…NOT thinking we need 108 AAA size…LOL! I wish I could have gotten at least ONE pack of AA. Darn. Guess I’ll pass on this deal. Actually, I order from WOOT a lot, and to be honest, I would be REALLY surprised if Cars 2 was even still in theatres by the time you get your batteries, lol. It’s normal for shipping to take 3-4 weeks.

  19. yangzi

I am trying to think if we need 108 AAA batteries… Can you give me ideas?

    • MommySpendsLess

Short answer: probably not. AA’s would probably be a lot more useful.

I would call us a typical, if not a little technologically advanced, family and off the top of my head, the only thing I can think of that uses AAA batteries is some of my daughter’s smaller toys. Specifically, she has a Twilight Turtle that uses (3) AAA batteries but I buy the super cheap dollar store kind and they still last a few months so it would take us a looong time to go through 108. A few remote controls, like for TVs and DVD players may use them. A quick Google search revealed that some small flashlights or Bluetooth headsets use AAA batteries.

Maybe spot check a few devices around your house. Unless something your family uses a LOT requires AAA batteries, it might not be a very good deal for you.

      • yangzi

Thanks for ideas. I checked my remotes but they take AA. AAA batteries are also sold out now at Woot. 🙁

    • ANDREA

A lot of smaller flashlights take AAA as well as remotes. The headlamp flashlights usually take AAA. HTH!

  20. Mari

Soooo bummed they are out of AA, I needed some…

    • Mari

Does anyone know if there is any chance the AAs may get back in stock today, or does Woot never do that?

      • yangzi

It looks like everything is sold out now. 🙁

  21. Dee

Received my batteries a few days ago and was very excited. Cut open the the AA packages to redeem the codes for the movie and to use the batteries. You will not believe this — but so far all all – yes, all the AA batteries do not work. That’s 72 batteries!! I tried them in toys and remote controls and nothing. Put them into the house temp control and it flashes low batteries. Is anyone having the same problem? It’s crazy to have this many batteries not working. Next stop contacting Woot and Rayovac….

  22. Lauren

Just received my batteries and 6 of the packages had been previously opened and their codes already redeemed! It was a good deal on the batteries, but I’m still disappointed that I won’t be getting 2 free movie tickets. I’m contacting Woot.
