  19. Melinda P

I had lots of trouble with site crashing, too. What I eventually had to do was write down all the item numbers of the stuff I wanted. When the site came back, I quickly entered in each item number in the search box on the top left, and clicked buy on each of them, and then quickly checked out. I got $75 worth (clearance price) for $42.50. 🙂 This will help ALOT with our homeschooling this coming year. Thanks!!

  20. Dawn

I ordered 4 books for $7.00 !!! Im so excited, thank you sooooo much 🙂

  21. Jamie Anderson

I subscribe to The Mailbox and have lots of them sitting on my desk. I ordered some of the magazine slipcovers to store them for $1. Great deal!

  22. Deedee

CRASHED 🙁 I’ll check back later.
In the meantime, I’m considering homeschooling my girls (one’s 3 and one’s 1, so not quite yet). But, where do I start? How do I know if I can handle it? I taught math, so I know I can teach her calculus (many years from now), but can I really teach her to read? Any advice would be appreciated.

Start at the library. I did a search for homeschooling books. The best one I’ve found is “The Everything Homeschooling Book” by Sherri Linsenbach. It has a TON of links on where to go for free or low-cost options, kinds of homeschooling (structured, unit study, unschooling, Charlotte Mason, faith-based, umbrella/satellite, etc.) tips and hints, typical homeschool days, links to homeschooling blogs, how to choose curriculum, etc. Very, very helpful! I have two boys: 3 & 1 that I plan on homeschooling. Good luck!

      • Deedee

Thanks! I will check that book out! I feel so behind, I don’t know what most of those things are that you mentioned. I did order several things from the mailbox. I hope it will make me feel like I can do it!!

    • Sarah

If you are just getting started. Find a good curriculum that lays out the daily lessons for you. That way you will have something to follow and you will keep your child on track for what they should know for their grade level.

    • Andrea

You need to look at the dept of education website for the state you live in. That will give you the exact legal requirements you need to follow. Your local library can give you contact info for the local homeschool organization (if there is one). I have a list of websites I use for free education resources including curriculum and games, as well as materials for myself. I would be more than happy to email that list to you (please provide your email for me).

  23. drbeanz

Wow, thanks so much for posting this!! I’m a 1st Grade teacher and this was such a wonderful deal!! I got 8 books for $20. If I had gone to a teacher supply store and bought these books I would have paid over $100. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

  27. Kacey

Just got 7 books for $26! Original prices totaled $101! Awesome!!!!!

  28. T

The code JULR shows up in my cart as being able to be used to get $10 off $50 but it isn’t being taken off the total at the bottom. I tried NOVR and the same thing. Any suggestions?

    • T

Nevermind. I deleted and reapplied the code and all of a sudden it worked. Thanks so much for this great deal!

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ordered 8 books for the kids for less than $20. One at Staples would have cost $10+! Thanks so much for posting this deal!

  33. Michelle

Thanks for this deal info! Was able to score some fun supplemental workbooks for my two homeschooled kiddos. Great prices. Looking forward to seeing the material.

  34. Krista Henson

I was able to score this deal yet this morning (July 19th)! I got 3 books that would normally total $60 for $9.10! I homeschool my 10 year old son and these will make great supplemental material. I previously taught in the public school system and this is one of my favorite publishers. Thanks so much! And to the mom considering homeschooling–you CAN do it–no one cares more about your child and their education then you do. I agree with the post about starting at the library–it is a great source.
