Now as you are probably wondering, what exactly qualifies as a Rite Aid brand skin care item? I’m honestly not sure and I am guessing the answer will vary from store to store. I would assume, though, that a Rite Aid brand skin care item would, well… be anything that has to do with taking care of your skin. And if that’s the case, then the above first aid items are also Rite Aid brand skin care products.
So, you could potentially score the following deals…
Transaction #1:
Buy 2 Hydrogen Peroxide products $1.59 each
Minus buy 1 get 1 50% off sale = $2.39
Pay $2.39
Get back two $2 skin care coupons
Transaction #2:
Buy 1 Rite Aid Sterile Bandages $2.29
Buy 1 Rite Aid Petroleum Jelly $2.99
Total = $5.28
Use two $2/1 coupons from above transaction
Pay $1.28
And then get back two more $2 skin care coupons!
(Thanks, For the Mommas!)
And check out this deal reader, Michelle, was able to score…
Select Procter Silex or Hamilton Beach Kitchen Appliances 20% Off Regular Retail

And Get back unadvertised $3 +Up Reward (for purchase of Hamilton Beach)
Final cost ONLY $7.99! Not bad considering NO coupons are needed!
** There is also a $5/1 Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker available here. I am not sure if they sell this variety at Rite Aid, but keep your eyes peeled as this may make for an even sweeter deal!
Does the skincare coupon come back in the form of an up reward?
It’s probably the catalina type coupon. The thin roll of paper, not the receipt paper.
RA has catalina machines?
No rite aid does not have catilana machines.
Some Rite Aid stores do have Catalina machines (the ones in my mom’s area do) but the coupons Collin is referring to are printing from the cash register.
ah OK! Thanks.
It prints out on your receipt like an up reward (and looks just like one) except that it is ONLY good towards the purchase of a Rite Aid brand skin care item.
It says on the coupon stay or go cup, so I’m guessing it will be alright to use it… I’ll check it when I go to RA first before printing out the coupon
I would think skin care item would mean anything that was HBA, like face wash/soap/lotion etc… but im sure it will vary by store.
I was just at RA…. I bought 2 Hydrogen Peroxide, 2 Rubbing Alcohol and 2 travel hand sanitizers (had them up front.) The hand sanitizers are $1, on sale for .90 and BOGO, so I got all 6 items for $6.96 and ended up with 4 ($2 UP Rewards.) To be honest, I’m not sure how this worked out… I’m thinking I got a $2 UP for each peroxide and rubbing alcohol, but not positive. So I went back and got a RA brand suntan lotion and 4 more hand sanitizers, used all 4 UP rewards but didn’t get any back, leading me to believe UP rewards don’t print out on the hand sanitizers.
Has anyone noticed that the UP Rewards have been stingy at RA lately? Seems that the last 2 weeks there haven’t been many.
yeah…they don’t have all the good deals they used to 🙁 It sucks because rite aids the only thing in my area
If you have a $3 off $15 purchase coupon for Rite Aid, then the Hamilton Beach deal would be a net of $4.99!
how so? please explain
She’s figuring the cost of the +UP into her savings on the item.
Coffeemaker = $15.99
-$3/$15 coupon
= Pay $12.99
Get back $8 in +UP.
Sorry…not the cost of the +UP. I meant she’s figuring the +UP into the cost of the item. I need to go to bed! 😉
Are they still doing the $3 off $15? I haven’t gotten one in a long time.
After reading about the coffee maker, I headed out to my 24 hour Rite Aid. The sign under the box said $19.99, so I took it up to the register to check the price. Turns out it was 75% off!! I got it for $4.99 AND it printed out the $3 and $5 +UP Rewards! Better than free = awesome!
Also, they had a lot of notebooks and other school supplies and photo items at 75% off. My other awesome deal I scored was a color ink cartridge for my HP printer (reg. $27.99) for 75% off plus a $2 off peelie. Total paid = $4.99. Love when Rite Aid runs clearance sales!!
Wowza!! That’s awesome, Karen! Now you are makin’ me want to run on over to my local Rite Aid! 🙂
That one is definitely not a chain wide clearance. Collin’s other reader found it for $15.99 and that’s how it rang up for me too. Lucky duck you, though! 😀
Where r you from that you got such a great deal???
Sweet! What was the UPC on the box, please?
What a great tip…I got:
Rite Aid Hydrogen Peroxide $1.49 (10% wellness level)
Rite Aid Hydorgen Peroxide $0.74
Paid $2.23 + tax, got 2 $2 off Rite Aid Skin Care coupons, so I bought:
Rite Aid Epsom Salts 3 lbs. $3.14 (10% wellness level)
Rite Aid Petroleum Jelly 2.5 oz. $2.06 (10% wellness level)
Used 2 $2 off coupons from above
Paid $1.20 plus tax, got 2 more $2 off Rite Aid Skin Care coupons good until 8/31/11.
You don’t actually get the 10% discount on items that are already on sale (in this case, BOGO50)
I did the hydrogen peroxide and alcohol on Sat when it was 1.11 and 1.49 respectively. I bought 4 to spend my current +Ups and test the deal that I saw on another blog and when it worked, rolled those +Ups into another transaction. I did not realize that the +Ups were only good for skin care purchases, though! Will definitely roll some more this week and see what great deals I can come up with! Would love any suggestions for more “skin care” deals!
i think the hamilton beach deal may be regional. i bought this coffee maker and it was NOT 20% off and only the $3 UP printed. any one else run into this?
Same here…just purchased the coffee maker and got 10% since I’m on silver…and only the $3 up printed. I think I will return this tomorrow.
I went yesterday too… not on sale, only one UP reward, but it did take the $5 coupon on the $20 item… not sure about keeping it. :/
Does anyone know if the Hamilton Beach single cup brewer works with the Kureig K-Cups?? Or is there a Hamilton Beach brand we have to use?
They use Senseo coffee pods. K-cups will not work with it.
I live in Northern CA and also did not get the $5 UPS. I did have my $3 off $15 so I was hoping to score the great deal even cheaper. I may return also. It could also be a great gift for my college bound niece.
I got the 15.99 coffee maker and 4.49 sippy cups. used the 5.00 printable cpn, 1.00 riteaid vv cpn and 3.00off 15.00. Paid 11.48 and got back 1.99up from cup, 5.00up from Hamilton Beach and3.00up from Hamilton Beach. Paid 1.49! I think I am catching on to this couponing. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!
I went in and got the coffee maker and after all coupons and discounts and ups I paid 0. got 8 back in ups and turned around and got the hamilton beach hand mixer and after all coupons ups and discounts applied only paid $1.10. And got back 5 more ups. Totally awesome deal. and what’s best is that my hand mixer I had was shot and in the market for a new one anyway. Yahoo!!!
Just got my Hamilton Beach personal brewer… at the end I paid $5.90… but just noticed the $5.00 coupon from Hamilton Beach… do you think if I go back they will apply the coupon or its to late????
my store manager says the coupons are same as up rewards and you can use them on anything like the ups… if thats so- and this seems to be a major money maker- I started with $8 in ups and now after 4 transactions have 42.00 in coupons- you could roll with it til you have 100.00 in coupons and then buy 100.00 in nivea products- and get back the $40 up reward… just a thought… since my store manager says its not limited to riteaid brand skin care- they scan fine on candy and food he said.
I also didnt know about the coffee maker til now- so Im headed back (luckily only 1 mile away) to grab one of those too- thank you!
I just went to Rite Aid and picked up this coffee maker. Paid $15.99 out of pocket ($17.11 after tax) an only got back the $5 +UP. Maybe the $3 one is regional? Still, $12 is good for a rather unique and universally useful Christmas gift. I told my hubby he can use it for his company’s annual Secret Santa event. Wish I had done as good as everyone else seems to be, but it looks like my South Jersey Rite Aid was out of the loop on the $3 +UP.
Is there somewhere that lists unadvertised +UP rewards or do we just know about them because readers are reporting getting them?
I live in Pgh, PA and I also only received the $5 UP. However, I was able to use the $5. coupon.
I just did the Rubbing Alcohol deal. Bought 2 2.19 regular price BOGO – I only got 1 $2 coupon. I called CS, they said the coupon can be used on anything and that I only got one because it is one per transaction. So how the deal works may be regional. I am in NY.
whoops make that BOGO 50% off
Just bought a few peroxides and only got 1 $2 coupon. Looks like it’s being limited to 1 per transaction now.
I just got back from Rite Aid and I didn’t receive the $2 skin care UP rewards. I bought 2 of the alcohol because they were completely out of the peroxide. Is this deal posted anywhere on the Rite Aid website? The cashier had no idea what I was talking about and we even looked thru the flyer, but I didn’t see it listed. Maybe this is regional? I’m in central California…has anyone in the area gotten this deal? Thanks 🙂
Ok, so I just remembered…on the plus side of not getting my 2-$2 up rewards…I just had to say that when I was at CVS earlier today, I grabbed a cart and in it was some CVS coupons in it! 1 was for $5 off a $25 purchase. So I used it because there was nobody around. Maybe that was Karma! LOL
So I went to RA to get the coffee maker..used the $5coupon, they let me use the $3 off$15 survey receipt…the guy behind me actually said “extreme couponer?”…I got all defensive..i said..”this is 1 item, 2 coupons”, he just smiled at me…this is the first time that ever happened to me..and I didn’t like it. I’ll keep couponing, but seriously? 1 item? 2 coupons?
