Papa Charlie’s Italian Style Beef is now being sold at Walmart locations nationwide. I have never tried their products before, but I got an email from them today (guess I am signed up for emails somehow?!) regarding this.

Anyway, I went on their site to see if any coupons are currently available and there is one! 😀 Just fill out the form here to join their family and you’ll get an instant $5 off coupon for your next purchase of a five-pound container of Papa Charlie’s Italian Beef. This seems like a really nice value coupon. Anyone know how much the 5 pound containers of Italian Beef retail for?!

$13 – $15 for a 5lb container. Cut it with water though..it can be salty.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Agree, it can be really salty! But not a bad quick dinner when cut with water!

  2. Rebekah

It is right around $12.99 at Wal-mart! 🙂

    • Stephanie

$12-15 in my local store, Illinois

  3. Becci

I can’t find a walmart near me that has it 🙁

  4. cbhoff

Yup, they always go on sale at Jewel in Chicago for $12. Too expensive because most of that weight is water but when I can snag it on sale with a $5 off coupon I do because it’s really good!

    • shawna!!!

Do you know if it tastes like a Portillo’s or Buona beef? Oooooooooh, how i miss Chicago.

      • Rebekah

        missing chicago beefs here too!!!!

      • ambere77

They are almost as good. But nothing beats Portillo’s. YUM

      • Jennie

MMmmmmm Portillos! It’s not as good, but it will do for an Italian Beef fix:)

Joined family got email, but it is some weird downland that fails, tried in 3 different browsers. Anyone able to print this one?

    • Gardengirl

I can’t get it to print either. It is in the print queue but it won’t print. I’ve tried canceling the print and it won’t cancel. It is a great coupon and I would love it my computer would let it print.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

im having the same problem. norton wont let it down load. tried my netbook and i cant even bring the page up off my email. darn. this stuff is sooo good

      • Gardengirl

Norton warned me also but I went around their warning.

  6. robin

Mine printed, even though my computer showed an “error” message.

  7. Anna m

They are opening a buona beef down the street! And I have three portillos close by, but I’m moving to California 🙁 I’ll miss this too

    • Kimberly

There actually are a handful of portillos out here in California now. I’m about 20 min away from one – and we love it!

I’ve never ever had a legit company instruct me to DISABLE my anti-virus program to download a coupon in .EXE format.

    Totally unsafe.
Please do not download this coupon!

I cannot imagine any PROFESSIONAL website designer would EVER program a coupon download in this manner.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So is this safe to download or not???

  10. Nel

I decided its not worth the virus risk… but maybe I’ll print it later…

  11. Chris

It expires on 8/30, not much time to use it….

  12. caleeso31

Mine was blocked also, I disabled norton for 15 minutes(right click on the tray icon) and then was able to print the coupon with no problem.

  13. Laura

That looks really good, but 5 lbs is a lot for just me and my husband. I think I’ll pass. Thanks anyway!

    • cbhoff

It’s actually not that much… It would be about 2 meals for the both of us. Again, a lot of it is the juice so if you want yummy Italian beef sandwiches go for it!

  14. Cara

I’ve never tried it, but for a fast and easy dinner without cooking? Love it. Thanks for the tips about cutting it with water. My tip is to print more than one! I just re-entered my email address and it let me print another.

  15. karen

I can’t get it to print either 🙁 and my local market has it 2/$10 so it would be free for me.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

can someone expain how to cut it with water? what does that mean- thnx 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t know what ‘cutting it with water’ means either. Can someone explain this to us please? Thanks!

      • missmarquisha

Just add some water to it when warming it up to “cut” the saltiness down.

  17. Joni

I have never heard of this beef but Portillos is my all time favorite!!!! Mmmmm None near me but when we go to Merriville, IN. or Chicago area we always stop at Portillos…..Oooh I can taste it now!!! 🙂

  18. Barb J

Kaspersky is telling me not to download it! I agree, why would they tell you to cancel your virus protection?? Why don’t they just make it safe on their end???

  19. Nancy

Beef from a plastic tub … hmmmm.

  20. Debbie

hey, you get it like that (tub) from the real places too if you take home a few pounds, you should try it, get some french bread and pile on the warm beef, dip the sandwich in the au jus, and enjoy, top it with giardiniera or sweet peppers if you want to do it right

  21. Trish

Bummer it won’t print for me either. My daughter tried it on her new laptop and it won’t print from her’s either – bummer!

  22. Heather W

I’m not going to try if it’s telling you to do that! It’s really good though. I usually just make my own in the slow cooker though. 🙂 It’s funny I live in IL and I have said Italian Beef to people that live in other states and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was shocked. lol

  23. Michele

I’ve bought this at Target before, but I’ve never seen it at Walmart. It tastes awesome. Don’t be fooled though, this is hardly a full 5 lbs of meat, much of it is juices. It was enough however to make 5 sub roll dinner sandwiches for my family of 3 adults and 2 ravenous teenagers.
