Coupon:

Rebates:

Wanted to offer a heads up…I had trouble trying to PM the Best Buy 5 disc blu ray price at Target because the one Target sells is an exclusive with a light up case. They wouldn’t PM because the Target one is not exactly the same as the one at Best Buy.
I went to Target as well and tried and they wouldnt do it for me either. The CSR said b/c the pictures dont match they wouldnt do it. Doesnt seem fair, they are the ones that threw in a lighted case and are not selling just the regular 5 disc.
I went to Target and they did have the regular 5 disc and did the best buy price match.
I asked for the regular 5 disc at my Target and they told me no as well.
At my Target they were already out of the special case one so they only had the 5 disc in the regular case, at customer service they did the price match for me, no problem and then I used my coupon so paid only 19.99 and will send for the rebates. Can’t beat a free new movie!

Meijer has the regular DVD on sale for $16.99 & you can “clip” a coupon for a free Cars 2 diecast car from your MPERKS account.
And you will get a free Cars2 diecast without having Mperks but if you do then you will get 2! Did it this morning and both came off.
How did you find out this would work? Getting 2 diecast cars free?
Hey just wanted to let u know i bought cars 2 and Meijer today for 15.99 and used the $5 off any purchase from Mperks! I ended up paying $11.65 after tax.
Target let me price match Best buys price today.
I bought the special light up case 5 disc at target today and there is only 1 upc, no tab. I have not opened it up because I plan on returning it and getting just a blu ray combo. I am not sure if there are any other proofs of purchase inside.
I too got the Target 5 disc combo, my kids had it opened by the time we got to the car to go home. There is only 1 UPC code. There is no DVD box inside, the discs are in the light up storage case. So don’t get this version because you won’t be able to do the double rebates. They won’t take it back because it is opened due to their same item only policy. They were sold out of the standard 5 disc combo packs.
The rebates also ask for the “Proof of Purchase” tabs which are at the top of the disk case. The disks usually have 2 of those, plus the UPC code. It’s either the UPC code or the Proof of Purchase tab, not both. Hope this helps!
I had the same thing happen and returned the special one and got the regular 5 disc set at Target – Why would disney not put the proof of purchase on the special one like the regular dvd’s????
I opened mine before I realized that there was only the UPC on it now what?? I was trying to figure out how I could do this too. Why is there not 2 proof of purchases on it?? I thought it was just a defect on mine, but I guess not.

You can do all 3 rebates!!!! I purchased the combo pack at Target. Price matched from best buy, so it was $19.99 after my disney coupon! Then I came home to do rebates:
J &J:
purchased 12 first aide kits at Target, 97 cents each used 6 -$1.50 off 2 johnson and johnson coupons.
Used 1 tab from my movie.
Kimberly Clark Rebate:
Used 1 FREE Huggies pack $11.99 CVS coupon
Purchased 2 Huggies slip ons at Target using 2- 2.00 Target coupon and 2- $3.00 manufacture coupons, so they were like $5.00 a piece.
Used 1 tab from my movie
Rayovac Rebate:
Purchased 2 packs “c” batteries, used 2- $1.00 Rayovac coupons
This rebate calls for the ACTUAL UPC not the tabs…so I had just enough!!!!!
It is a money maker on Rebates as long as you needed the other products!!!!

there was a rebate form for the kimberly clark products in my sunday paper and it just stated huggies brand products, no exclusions. so i am hoping the slip ons are included. they are considered part of the little movers line, i believe. i’m gonna give it a shot! 🙂
Yes…I just looked at rebate form again, and I think they just show the huggies pkg as a reference of their product. Slip ons should work fine!

no!!! RETURN the light up one! There are not the normal tabs for rebates in those…just get the 5 disc set (Target price was $29.99 and price match to best buy ad for $24.99)

how did you get the first aid kits with the coupon? my coupon states that it excludes first aid kits and also it is not good on products under a dollar? Does your coupon not have this restrictions?

Ha ha …your welcome…normally I am not the “deal worker,” I got lucky carefully READING every rebate form, and matching what I buy anyhow with my coupons to the rebate! best part being the johnson and johnson rebate especially because with the first aide kits (avail. at CVS/Walmart/Target for all around $1 and the $1.50 coupon off 2 products, we spend $5.00 to get $10.00!
Were do you get the coupons for the kits?
It is usually the purchase price BEFORE coupons. And yes they come in, and usually before the time frame that they say it will arrive. Always a good idea to make a copy of all the parts of any rebate you send in just in case (I have a special rebate file). But most companies don’t want to mess around with not sending a rebate, its too much of a legal risk (so if one does not come in, call the company and let them know, and offer to send your extra copy of the rebate as proof, and they should make it right and pronto!)
YeS!!! You can! Go get your free Huggies from cvs, they are $11.99, then you just need $8.01 more for the Kimberly Clark Rebate! If you get the free ones, then a pair of the slip ons with the $3.00 manu. coupon at Target (I think they are 9.99 there), you have 2 receipts with over enough for the rebate!
I bought the 2 of the 5 disc packs at Toys r us. I used 2 of the $5 coupons so it was $59.98 plus tax. For that I received…2 of the movies, 2 wall clocks, the christmas vehicle set, and a $10 gift card. I was going to buy the movie for myself either way, the cheapest place I saw was best buy for $19.99 after coupon, I ended up paying more for the movies by shopping at TRU, but with all the freebies and gift card, I think it was worth it. Head start on Christmas presents 🙂
Another idea for a good deal at TRU…you could buy the 5 Disc blu ray set for $34.99 and purchase another Cars 2 item for at least $5.01. They have lots of Cars 2 merchandise, there are lots of little cars for $4-$6, and other stuff like puzzles, headphones, coloring books,etc… So you would end up with the movie, other Cars 2 item, free clock, and free 2 car holiday gift set. 🙂
I plan on doing this same deal, but adding another $6 of merchandise to use the buy $75 get $10 gift card in the Big Toy Book! After all the rebates, the 5-disc movies are free! Yeah! =)
My TrUs was stocked with both the free Cars 2 clocks & 2-piece holiday cars. Unfortunately, they count the spend $75 get a $10 gift card coupon after all discounts, so with my deal above with two movies plus one other item, I didn’t hit the $75 after coupons. They did tell me to keep the coupon & when I spend the $20 I was short on this order, to give them both receipts & the coupon & they will give me the $10 gift card! =)
The problem with TRUS is that they usually have a very limited supply of the freebie promotion items. One store I shopped at today was out of clocks before noon.
you wouldnt be able to use th $5 off coupon but if you really wanted the clock you could get the movie and clock online still.

If you still have kids in diapers, I think the best way to go (to spend the least out of pocket) is the BEST BUY 5-disc 3D combo deal 24.99-5Q=19.99, then buy the qualifying items for the rebates (Kimberly and J&J) at my leisure. Then I can look at it like spending $30 before Qs on things I would be buying anyway (diapers, bandaids, paper towels) and getting the movie for free. 🙂 PS: There is a Cortaid Try-Me-Free-rebate (one of the qualifying J&J items) that would sweeten the deal (https://www.cortaid.com/rebate1).
cancel that on the Cortaid (it wouldn’t work since you have to have a UPC cutout for both the Cortaid and the J&J rebates
On the 5 disc combo pack from toys r us, there is a flap that folds around the case that has a UPC on it, then on the actual cover itself there is another. it might only be on the toys r us version because the flap says”toys r us exclusive feature Lego bonus disc.” There are still only 2 proofs of purchase, but still an extra UPC.

FYI the Target 5 disc combo collecter’s set only has 1 UPC, My kids opened it up. They were sold out of the standard 5 disc sets so didn’t get to see if they had 2 UPC’s on the box. Too late for me, can’t return it, hopefully I can prevent someone from the same mistake!

Target has a deal if you buy two value pack huggies diapers at 29.99 each you get a 10.00 gift card. Can this be used with the 5.00 gift card when you spend 25 or more on Kimberly-Clark brands in the 10/30 SS and two manf coupons? Then use that reciept to submit for the rebate with a reciept from the cars movie? Then you would be getting 15.00 in target cards to apply towards the movie and another 10.00 back from the rebate.

CALL AHEAD to Toys R US to check stock!! I went to my local store and they were sold out of the clock after the store was open for 2 hrs!! I had to drive to the other store across town, which thankfully they held for me. They only had one left! The Mgr. said even though it is in the toy book, it probably won’t be back in stock.
While at Toys R Us, see if there are any other deals for kiddos and use the $10/$75 on the back of the toy book from Sunday’s flyer. I picked up a 16″ bike that we needed for his birthday and bought the combo, spent $65 and have a $10 gift card for his stocking before filing a rebate (bike, clock, combo pk of cars bluray/DVD).
I wish I had read this post before going out to Target! I too couldn’t price match at Target and my son ripped open the package before I realized there was no proof of purchase on this dvd just one upc code which I hope one of the rebates will accept as proof of purchase! 🙁
The proof of purchase is on the back cover – you have to cut it off.
I got the collectors combo pack with the light and there is only a upc on it not the regular Disney proof of purchase tabs. Will rebates accept upc?
Both rebates indicate that they will take either “proof of purchase tab or UPC from Disney Pixars Cars 2” (for kimberly clark and band-aid rebates, not sure what the rayovac rebate requires).
The only issue with the collectors edition from Target is that you cannot do 2 rebates because you only get one UPC code. Both rebates state that you can use either the proof of purchase tabs or the UPC code. For some reason the special target one does not have the proof of purchase codes inside it.

At Safeway in our area (Redding, CA) they have the Cars 2 movie for $18.99. You also get 1 box of Kellogg’s cracker chips, a 8 pack of 12 oz. Dasani water, 3 pack of Jollytime popcorn, and one of these three items, (Cars 2 cup, plate or bowl) included when you buy the movie. Pretty good deal considering the free stuff cost over $10.00.
Starting today (Wednesday) the Kellogg’s crackers/chips are B1G1F so you actually get 2 with this deal – just makes it a little sweeter…

I think the best deal is buying the Cars 2 at CVS. Given it’s not blu-ray, but I wasn’t a big fan of this movie (enough to pay for a blu ray). I liked part 1 the best. So Im planning on getting the dvd for 17.99 using 15 ECBs (from beautyclub covergirl purchases :D) and paying 2.99. I’m also going to buy 3 jumbo pack diapers at CVS so they can count towards my buy 6 get 1 promo there.( Roughly 30 bucks minus 3(1.50/1) should be around 25.50). So total around 28.50 for 4 jumbo packs (because im only 3 away from the free one) and the dvd. And submit for my rebate. 😀 18.50 after rebate awesome considering I buy diapers anyhow.

If any of you live by a Safeway, they have the DVD/Blue Ray for 18.99, plus when you buy the movie you get a 3 ct popcorn, 8pk water, special k chips and a choice of a cars plate, bowl or cup free, then use the $5 of coupon equals all this for $13.99, I did mine this am worked perfectly!
the 18.99 price was only for the dvd at my safeway.
I went to Toys R Us and they claimed you couldn’t get the free cars for purchasing 40 dollars worth of Cars movies, it only worked for $40 worth of cars merchandise. Even though it said ALL CARS.

I ALWAYS seem to have trouble at TRU and have just given up on buying my movies there.
The one time my total was higher then the movie price was origionally after I used the coupon. When I tried to explain it to the manager he claimed it was “computer math.”

Went to buy Cars 2 today at CVS. CVS had it for $17.99 and I had $12 ecb so ended up paying $6.29 ! Not to bad 🙂
I bough the 5 disc combo pack at wallmart. It was priced at $29.95 but rang up at tge registrer at $24.95, After the coupon it was $19.95 for the 5 disc combo pack. Awesome deal. This was at the Pasco WA walmart.
Yesterday I went to Target and bought Cars 2 (5 discs), retail price $29.99 so I was able to price matched Best Buy ad $24.99-$5 off coupon-10% off team member = $18.61. My son will be very excited to see this new movie for his birthday and the party will be at Chuck E Cheese with his friends on this coming Sunday! 🙂
If you have a Giant Eagle in your area, they have the regular DVD version for $17.99 and when you purchase it, you get a coupon that gives you $5 off your next shopping order. I used a $5 coupon that I found on Cars Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks (purchased at Walmart) – it is good on just the DVD, unlike the DMR coupon (it is also good for several other movies including Winnie the Pooh and the new Pirates movie). So I paid $12.99 but have a $5 coupon to use on my next visit. So basically $7.99 – after rebates, movie is a moneymaker!
I got the DVD/BLU-RAY combo dvd at Meijer. It was $22.99 and included a free Cars diecast (of my choice). I paid for it in a separate transaction, before my groceries. And with the DVD purchase I got a catalina for 10% off my next purchase at Meijer…which I promptly used on my groceries, which took $9 off! I also plan to do the KC rebate, since that is easy with diapers. I forgot about the fruit snacks coupon, that would have sweetened the deal. And I saw others post that if you have Meijer perks you get an additional diecast free…but I don’t have that since it requires texting plan on your cell phone…I’m happy with the deal!

Well, to be honest, it didn’t ring up automatically, but the cashier and supervisor both looked at the sign on the in-store display and agreed it should be free, so they just over-rode it. It didn’t specify, so I just went and picked my son’s favorite character any of the $3.47 Cars diecast. I saw another comment on here that mentioned getting one, so you might check with that person as to their experience.
Help!!! Is it just me or does the J&J rebate say that it has to be for the Blu-ray or DVD combo pack??? does this mean that rebate would not be good on just the DVD? Someone help! I don’t want to spend a lot of money on the J&J items if I do not qualify for the rebate. Any thoughts???
I think it has to be the DVD combo pack, but is there anything else- I mean just a DVD that isn’t a combo pack?
After re-reading the J & J rebate, I think it has to be the combo pack, so can’t do that one only buying the DVD. It is very confusing though!
When submitting for the Kimberly-Clark rebate, do I need to purchase items that total $20 regular price, or do I have to spend $20 after store sales and coupons? I purchased diapers and wipes that would have totaled $22.00 but with coupons and sales only spent $12. Anyone know if this will work?
I plan to get Cars 2 at ShopRite. It’s on sale for $23.99. If you buy 2 additional Huggies items (which are on sale + I have coupons) you will get an $8 catalina off of your next order. The Huggies purchase should cover my KC rebate. I plan on using the $8 catalina to buy Rayovac 9v batteries (which are also on sale + coupons) to change my smoke detectors this weekend.
Please call Target at 1-800-440-0680 and let them know that the 2 proof of purchase tabs are missing from the blu ray set. I called and they said they will contact the merchandising department to see what they can do to fix the problem. Please call so we can get our rebates !
