Here are a few current deals (as of 11/10) that you may be able to snag at Walmart! Keep in mind that prices DO vary by region and from store to store, so you may not be able to get these exact prices in your location.

If you’re a price matching guru, you may want to note that Wal-Mart will now give cash back on a gift card if you find an item that is lower priced and bring in the ad (for the difference of the item)! (Thanks for the heads up on this, Samantha!)

Also, be sure to check the Clearance section at your store as Halloween Costumes and other items may be on clearance 75% off!  You may be able to snag Costumes for only $3 and more! (Thanks for the heads up, Bonni!)

I went to mine today. I scored like 10 of the halloween buckets for ten cents a piece. Plus MANY of the little goody bag favors for 10-25 cents each. I got everything I needed for my older sons class goody bags next year. All I will need to get next year is candy. I also got two bags of candy for my almost three year old sons birthday party next month. I spent a total of 14.50 on everything! I havent pulled it out of my car yet.but I’m planning to assemble the goody bags this year and put them inside the buckets for easier storing. The buckets will be used for my four kids, and two for my sister in laws kids, and then the last ones will be for my sons teacher to fill with treasure box items, and treats for their teachers next year! I’m really excited! Today has been a good shopping day.

    • Laura

      Good job Amie! 🙂

  2. Denise

I was at walmart yesterday and didn’t see one Halloween thing there. Don’t know if I missed them or they are out. They probably sold out–a couple of days after Halloween, they didn’t have much left. Luckily I stocked up on some goodies last year!

    • TD

did you check your garden area? sometimes it ends up in there for some reason… 😉

  3. Ashley

Has anyone been able to find the little bottles of ketchup? Have searched 2 walmarts in deli and regular aisle.

    • Trish

I looked yesterday and can’t find them either!

      • Kara

        Ashley & Trish

The little bottle of ketchups are by the deli…look by where the roasted chicken and the hot stuff is…I found em in a rack right by that..

        • Alicia

Yup that’s exactly where mine were. They were sitting in a bowl or basket on a rack right under the deli glass.

    • GIl

At Perimeter Mall location in Atl, they were right as you walk in the doors, on the right, at deli counter.

    • Kendra

they were up by the deli at my store. right in front of where they have hot ready made foods.

    • alex m

ask the deli personnel. My walmart had them behind the deli counter so the deli people had to get some for me

  4. Alicia

Collin! Walmart just lowered their shipping back down to .97 cents! That means that the Olay and Venus Holiday Baskets are a good deal again after the Allure Mail in Rebate!!

    • Ashley57

I found these in my store too…so you guys can check there.

  5. Robin

Just to clarify on the Christmas Price Match Guarantee, You have to actual purchase the product from Walmart and if you find a current printed ad, they will “refund” you the difference on a Walmart card.

    • Melissa

thats odd my store when i price match they just key in the price and no card is given

      • Mellissa

Thats wrong. You need to say something about that because its advertised all over commercials

        • Kristy

I think one of you is talking about price matching at the register and the other is talking about price matching after the fact…

          • Robin

Yes, It should be called a price adjustment….not a price match. Its is confusing!

          • Jennifer

Robin is talking about the Christmas Price Match Guarantee where if you buy something from WalMart and then find it at another store for less, they will give you a gift card for the difference. This is only being done until Christmas.

Melissa, I think you’re just talking about their Price Matching where you can price match a competitor store and get an item for the lower price.

            • Christina

Christmas price match (after you have already purchaced it from walmart) my store has signs that it’s only for the month of november, when I asked today they said it may continue in december but so far just november. Jennifer thanks, I used what you said and asked, they then gave me the toy book wich has the info in it. AGGG how confusing, hahaha

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s because you are thinking of 2 different policies. The Price Match policy they should just adjust the price to match. Then there is the “our prices wont be beat” policy which is where if you buy something at Walmart and then you find it on sale cheaper some where else, they will give you the difference on a Walmart card if you take your receipt and the ad into the store. So say you buy a toy for $10 at Walmart, then the next week that same thing goes on sale for $5 at Target. You would take you receipt and the Target ad into Walmart and get a Walmart card for $5.

    • Lindsey

This refund thing is excluding Black Friday ads!

  6. Kara

    Ashley,

The little bottle of ketchups are by the deli…look by where the roasted chicken and the hot stuff is…I found em in a rack right by that..

  7. Valerie

The Halloween stuff at my Walmart was 75% off today. We got some costumes for my daughter for $5 to use as dress up clothes. She is going to be so excited! They still have a whole entire aisle, both sides, filled with stuff.

  8. Jamie

Walmart has posted their Black Friday ad if anyone was planning on shopping that day. Due to financial reasons and other circumstances i have not gone in a couple years. Looking forward to going this year. I already have a huge jump from the deals Collin has posted and other deals. I have done a lot of online shopping this year. So many awesome deals. My family know I am a couponer so they know whatever I buy I got a deal on.LOL

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

my Walmart has all costumes for $1 or less..this was a GREAT buy so I bought over 20 of them..the candies were also on clearance. some were discounted at 75% or more and I bought $20 worth which gave me over 40 bags 🙂 not to mention, I was also able to use the $1.50 OFF Mars coupon that were posted on here previously.

  10. Roxy

If anybody shops at Publix, I found a good deal for Halls. They are priced at $1.30. There is a 50c off coupon in the green flyer and used the $1 off 2 Manufacturer coupon. Got 2 bags for 60 c.

  11. Ashley

Does anyone know if you can do more then one magazine rebate? The olay and venus holiday baskets or the Febreze fall gift sets? Can you get doubles of any and send 2 rebates?

    • Alicia

There is fine print on the new release rebate form for the Allure magazine that says “1 per household”. I will be sending one in for the olay venus and one for the Febreze fall gift baskets since the Febreze does not specify.

      • Megan

My Febreze rebate specified “Limit 1 per household” in the fine print. Be sure to read them closely if you plan to buy one!

        • Alicia

I know the newer rebate forms specify that. I just looked at them and the copy of mine I sent it does not. They must of updated the form within the last few weeks 🙂

So yes everyone if you plan on purchasing multiple read the ‘new’ fine print!

  12. Laurie

Does anyone have the link for the Muir Glen tomato paste coupon? thanks!

    • Robin

      It was on coupons.com

      • Laurie

        Thank you!

  13. Amberly

I don’t know what happened but 4 days after Halloween I was in Walmart looking for the little ketchup bottles (not found) and they announced EVERYTHING in the halloween aisle was marked down to .10. I got several costumes for .10 ea!!!!

    • Francoise

      WOW! I’m Jealous!

    • berkeley

I was at walmart a couple of nights ago and all of their Halloween stuff including costumes, t-shirts, sweatshirts,
decorations, cups, plates, etc was .25!

  14. mandy

I just ran in my Walmart and the Toy Story 3 Shooter Game did have a $5 off coupon on it, but the coupon expired in 7/2011. Make sure you check the date on yours!

    • jamie

I did too and the coupon was expired but i did snag the last two which make a good Christmas present considering its only 5.00

      • vanessa

am pretty new to this, if the coupon is expired can u use it anyways….?..or would it beep or what would happen?.. and also the suave deodorants($.97) after the coupon that they have on fb $.75/1 would be $.22!

        • Jess D

If any of your local stores are running double/triple coupon promotions or have a constant double coupon promotion walmart will match it. So Bilo and Harris Teeter always double coupons up to .99 cents so my walmart doubles coupons up to .99 and any coupon over .99 cents they’ll take a addt. .99 cents off. So my cat food coupon was $4, but in actually was 4.99 off.

          • Anne

Not all Walmart’s will double coupons…it is being tested in certain areas!!!!!

        • MommySpendsLess

You have to follow what’s printed on the coupon, regardless of whether the register or cashier catches you. If the current date is past the expiration date, you can’t use the coupon, period. that counts for peelies too. If the product has an expired coupon on it, it probably means it’s an older package that’s been stored or shelved for a while.

(disclaimer: In rare occasions a store may accept their own STORE coupon past expiration at manager’s discretion, but that’s not something I’d count on.)

        • jamie

okay so where did you find the suave coupon?

  15. Bella

i went to my walmart yesterday and no more halloween stuff. i was kinda sad

  16. sarah

The toy story target shooter….is this walmarts price 5? or is this targets price

    • mandy

      Walmart has it for $5.

  17. usmcwife0511

So I’m new to the whole couponing bit and was really bummed when I tried to use one the $1/1 Tide coupons that I found in the paper a few weeks ago. I purchased the trial size (coupon did not say excludes trial) for $.97 and with the coupon I should have gotten back $.03?? But the lady said that the computer wasn’t accepting it so I couldn’t use it. I didn’t want to argue it and look like the crazy lady, but should I have? Does this happen often?

    • Megan

Thats because the coupon is for P&G products, which Tide is made by, however the one use packets are made by a different company and so the coupon won’t work because it wouldn’t be reimbursed to the store. It will only work on P&G.. there was a post about this on the Tide facebook wall when those coupons came out..

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There was a discussion about this last week. Tide announced on their FB that the trial size Tide is not a Tide product, it is produced by Cottonswabss (or something like that). Look on the back on the package. It’s up to the store if they want to accept the coupon or not. I guess tehnically, we shouldn’t be using it, but the coupon does not specify size, and who would look to see if Tide wasn’t really produced by Tide, but some other company?!

I ahve used them in the past, and they always beeped at Walmart, but I had no problem at Target. It’s up to the store, so maybe Target will accept. I think Tide is going to be adding no trial size to their coupons.

    • Christina

If you look at the screen facing you, and it asks about the coupon with a ? (question mark), it is asking the cashier to hit ok because it is more than the price of the product and gives overage. If you cant use it it will say INVALID COUPON. My walmarts rule is if it scans they take it. Most cashiers dont realize that the question is simply that. The only reason it still does that is because the overage is still new. Maybe you will get a better cahier that knows the policy next time. I stopped walmart because it was crazy at the check out and when even trying to price match they where nasty and would say no. Delt with store manager a lot, I did not appreciate the fine tooth comb treatment. Now that that one closed and the super just opened…MAN what a difference…it is soo great now and I hope it stays that way. The employees are new but learning. The cahier asked me what a price match was. Next two times I got a cahier that knows the policy, what a relief. Dont give up!! It is so great with being able to do it all at walmart now. Less stops, less cashiers to give an issue, more time for yourself. I write all price matches in a notebook, bring all adds (just in case) and its so good (knock on wood). Being new to this is hard but you will get the hang of it. 🙂

    • Dawn W. G.

Alot of us here have been couponing quite awhile, however we recently found out that Tide outsources the trial size packaging. It is tide inside but p&g does not make it. ( a company called cotton buds does. So it is up to the cashier on the tide, but on any other product, you are correct. Some cashiers are accepting it since it is tide.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you so much ladies! It was my first time and I was already having issues, so I was so flustered and the patience of two kids with me wasnt helping excited to go for another round of shopping with coupons 🙂

  18. Sarah

    Is this game normally $5?

  19. Stacie Most

In Las Vegas- I was able to buy 3 costumes @ 25 CENTS Each!! I got a Bart Simpson Costume Boys Sz 10-12 / Girls Spongebob Costumes Sz 8-10 and a Dr Jeckyl Mr Hyde Costume for Adults -All for 75 Cents!!! Yahoo!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hey Stacie, great find! Which LV store did you shop at? TIA

  20. jamie

Is anyone else’s walmart giving them a hard time about using coupons…they hate me everytime i walk in and the horrible looks the cashiers give me irritates me. Not only that but i feel harrassed because everytime they get my coupons they start looking through my bags to make sure i purchased the items. Its worse when i go through self check out so lately i have been staying away from self check out if not im swarmed by walmart associates checking my bags.

    • jamie

ooh i forgot to mention the whispering they do in front of me like i have robbed the store.

      • Dawn W. G.

My walmart has got better, or maybe I just found better cashiers. You are doing nothing wrong. One day over a year ago, the cashier made me re-ring my whole order b/c I got like 10 $1 items for .64. She put in all my coupons the first time, and said that can’t be right. It was before they gave overage. so she re-rang the whole order, and my bill came up to .68. Another cashier, another time, told me I could not use a coupon on a nail file that was .98 when the coupon was $1, which was not true, back then it just made it free. Don’t let a few jelous people ruin it for you.

        • Dawn W. G.

oh yeah, I forgot. As I was walking out that 1st cashier said to another, in an irritated voice….she got all that for .68. Coupons are our currency, it is no different than handing them $1

    • Willa

We stopped at a Walmart last weekend to price match some items. The cashier said they could not price match b/c there was no picture of the item. (can they not read????) We went to another Walmart over the weekend and price matched 8 doz cans of Libby veggies, lots of soups and had about 75 coupons. The cashier was wonderful—-said he didn’t want to wait for someone to come okay the coupons. It all depends on the store and the cashier.

      • jamie

obviously they dont watch their commercials that say you dont really have to have the special page where the price is listed…i can see it now the lady is at the register tells the cashier that the other store sold it for a certain price but she didnt bring the paper and they matched the price…lawd someone please get them all straight

    • nickyb

I went to walmart about 2 or 3 weeks ago & got 2 of the $1.00 rayovac flashlights for free & 6 packages of the breathright strips w/overage.(forget how much) I had a few other items that had overage as well, but not a lot cos I used the overage for an all you magazine. My total was around $.25. The cashier said “it’s because of people like you that all stores are going to quit taking coupons”. What an idiot.

      • jamie

someone must have failed to mention to her that the stores get reimbursed..humm….im going to be nice now and stop 🙂

    • ASHLEY

I just went to Walmart and had over $40 worth of coupons and the cashier had an attitude of course but as long as she scanned every one of them and I saw them ring up I was ok. It doesnt bother me if they give me a hard time as long as they swipe my coupons and my discounts add up. So i got $125 worth of groceries for only $78 tonight and im glad. Being a fulltime college student living on my own I try and save on everything. I love couponing and the cashiers at Walmart will have to get over not wanting to swipe “all” of my coupons.

  21. Dawn W. G.

In Ohio they marked it down to 90 percent off tonight! Not alot left, but got a few good deals

  22. wendy

Just a heads up, the Veggie Tales coupon would not scan for the movie at my Wal-Mart and because it’s a printable the store would not honor it. fThe cashier said it was likely because it is the special Walmart “exclusive” copy but that sounded like a crock to me. Anyone else have this problem with the coupon?

Hastings, MN had ALL Halloween leftovers for .25 each!! I purchased 20 costumes for dress up fun, 2 bags of Dum Dums and 2 face painting kits. 🙂

I love these bargains. Last year, I snagged several costumes for my son and daughter and created a dress up box for each of them with the costumes and several of the wigs, jewelry, etc and wrapped them up for christmas….I opened all the costumes and accessories and laid them all inside a box, and they really didn’t even know they were from Halloween. Boy, I just love bargains!

I have problems consistently at the Walmart I go to, especially with overages. The cashier rarely knows that it is allowed. They call the CSM, the CSM tells them they can take them, but most of the time the CSM is not polite. This week was the last straw for me. After the CSM was called and told the cashier to take the coupons, as she walked away, she said very loudly, “You can take them, but I don’t think we should. I think that’s just wrong!” I told the cashier to cancel my transaction, and walked out!
When I got home, I called Walmart Corporate to register a complaint. Within 3 hours, the Walmart store manager called me back and asked me to tell him the details of the situation. Then a few days later, the assistant manager called and apologized and said he’d look into the situation and be sure the cashiers know how to do coupons with overages. I’m still not sure I’m going to shop there again, but calling Walmart Corporate did get the attention of the store.

I was reading through the comments and noticed the whole tide coupon thing was brought up again and I gotta put in my two cents…

Many coupon blogs were abuzz with some “update” the Tide Facebook page put up regarding the Trial sized not being packaged by Tide and so not being eligible for the coupon. I scoured their page and found nothing about this, so if someone has a link or a direct quote that’d be great, otherwise the cynic in me believes that this was just misdirection to discourage people from making money off the coupon (IDK just thinking out loud here).

Regardless of who PACKAGES it, it is still TIDE in the bag. It says TIDE. It is a TIDE, Proctor & Gamble product and think the excuse given is lame. There’s a good chance that Tide buys the bottles they put their product in and don’t have a plastics factory to make them in. Does that mean that it’s not Tide? Or you can’t use a coupon on it? I really don’t see the logic in this so please enlighten me if I’m missing something!

I went and used 4 of them on the travel sized just to see what would happen. I got the dreaded beep and the little “see journal” prompt came up and a little piece of register tape printed. the cashier was saying that I didn’t buy the item. I told her it was for Tide and I bought Tide. There was no size restriction. Rather than get in to a big long debate about it I told her it was up to her what she wanted to do with it. She put them through manually. I was OK with that from an ethics point of view.

I think all that’s happened is they didn’t want people taking advantage of it, put out some misinformation, and didn’t code the coupon to be tied (no pun intended :P) to the travel sized bar code so that when it beeped people would be to afraid to confront and cashiers would just say “it won’t work”.

It would be MUCH MUCH easier if they just say “no travel/trial size” on the coupon, wouldn’t it? I mean, looking through the P&G inserts they have size restrictions on all sorts of other coupons in there! Why not Tide?

I am REALLY curious to hear what other people have to say on this subject.

About 2 weeks ago I went to my local Walmart (which I always shop at) and tried to add match crest toothpaste from Walgreens or CVS. The add was 2/$4 $2 reg reward which made them 2/$2 plus I had coupons. Walmart said they would not match the reg rewards and that the policy had changed. I pulled my policy out and showed them that it states any comp add with a price stated. They argued with me and I ended up leaving. I went home and sent an email to corp and have yet to hear back.. Is there anyone that can enlighten me about this. Was I right or wrong???
