Whole Foods: Whole Chicken Sale (11/11)
If you are a fan of chicken, then you may want to consider heading over to Whole Foods tomorrow, November 11th. For one day only, Whole Foods Market will have whole chickens on sale for only $1.29/pound (limit 10 whole chickens per person). Head over here for more information.
If you do decide to snag some chicken tomorrow, consider some of the yummy recipes found here.
That is a great price!
The chickens aren’t certified organic. Just natural, vegetarian-raised, with no added hormones or antibiotics.
Sounds good to me
Yea they are not organic. A little tip you may not know FDA does not allow hormones in ANY poultry or swine so that is never an issue.
Publix has their whole chickens for .99lb this week. Only difference you are paying extra .30 for at WF is chicken is not fed bone meal or given antibiotics. Most come from the same suppliers as well.
Bummer that they are not organic.
If you live near an Albertsons, their whole fryer chickens like these are 69 cents/lb tomorrow only. I live in the Portland OR area so I don’t know if this applies to another locations.
I seem to always go to Whole Foods the before or early in the day and then come and read Colin’s post about deals there. But I’m so excited b/c I was going out tomorrow to buy some natural chicken, so I might have to run over to WF and stock up.
Please post if you actually get the chickens the last few times they had this sale they were all out at like 9:00 am at my local store in Carmel, INdiana.
Does Whole Foods give out rainchecks if you ask?
Does anyone know how much they usually are? I was thinking $1.99/lb for the whole chicken fryers. Just trying to decide if I should make a special trip.
It said on the display that it’s a savings of .70 per pound.
I just bought chickens at Walmart for .85 cents a pound for 2 chickens. They were .88 cents a pound for one. Don’t know if that makes any difference. Hope it hopes..;)
The usual price probably varies by region. $1.29/lb is a great price.
two deals for WF good until 11/29 – grab the in-store monthly flyer “the whole deal” and use the $2/1 365 chocolate chip coupon to get a bag of organic semi-sweet chocolate chips for a mere $0.69 (at least, the regular price here was $2.69).
Also, print any arrowhead mills coupons you can find and pair that with the $1/1 in-store coupon to get FREE 2lb packages of organic, stone ground whole wheat or white flour.
Perfect for the upcoming baking season!
Whole Foods just published a retraction on the $2/1 choc chip coupon in their store flyer stating that this was a printing error.
Meaning what? They won’t take the coupon? When I checked, they were $2.99 in Houston. I wanted to also share….. I went with a tour group to visit WF yesterday…… What fun, and the “guide” will open and let you sample ANY thing you see or want to try…. This is the way to go to find out all the fun, interesting info. about Whole Foods. Just call and get a group together (there were 5 of us). Samples at every stop. YUM
I was wondering b/c I got 3 bags using the coupons when I was there last time then went again and all of the coupons were gone. I just assumed they had run out b/c it was such a popular promotion! Glad I got my 3 bags at $0.99 (they are regular price $2.99 here in Richmond, VA).
Collin could you please change your post title so that it does not include the word organic? That is a little misleading and could cause dissapointment.
Thanks for catching that Gina! I have updated the post. 😀
I got my chickens this morning at the Whole Foods in Milford, CT. Was there at 8:15. They had probably 50 of them out. I was the only one in the meat section. Considering I pay about $7+ for a whole chicken at Stop & Slop, I think this is a good deal. They were all priced around $6. I know you can get two birds at Sam’s Club that are cheaper but they are usually smaller birds. I only bought 3. Looking forward to roast chicken dinner tomorrow night. Thanks, Collin!
I just picked up 10 chickens at the Whole Foods in Palatine, IL. I was already excited about the deal, as I had saved my Living Social certificate for just this type of sale. To my surprise and delight, when I got up to the register, the cashier added on a 10% discout for buying in bulk so it was an even sweeter deal! She stated that WF likes to reward their customers for buying in larger quantities (by the case) by giving them this “case discount”. I ended up, after the LS cert and the discount for buying in bulk, to have spent just under $30 for 10 chickens! Woo hoo!
Got 5 chickens this morning! They are definitely a good deal for this quality! 🙂
