   Does anyone know how long it takes for rewards to be available? I purchased the ream of paper and markers on 10/10/11 and they show as rewards earned but are not available yet :(.

   Can you use Bonus Rewards on these purchases and get more Rewards back? Like, I have $7 in Rewards. Can I use that to buy the Sharpies, then still get the $8.49 back?

  Does this still work? It used to, but I was told recently that you can no longer ‘roll’ your rewards, ou can use them to buy things with 100% rewards back, but you don’t actually get them – like with Staples rewards.. – so in Kay’s situation you’d get $1.49 back and not $8.49 if you used $7 rewards… is that the case or do they still really roll?? THanks 😀

  I was told you would still get the rewards even though you use rewards to pay for it. However, the total would not count toward your $500 to get the $25 back.

   The rewards are issued quarterly. Yes, you can use your rewards on items that issue more rewards. It’s a gift card, so you can use it on whatever you wish.

   Does anyone else see the “not valid for member appreciation event” on the copy paper? So you can’t combine the paper and Sharpies in one transaction and get full credit?

  I wondered that too. I saw that after I ordered – I hope that you still get the $35 back and you just don’t get the additional 25%. I plan to call tomorrow.

   For those who are curious when you get your rewards, I just looked up the MaxPerks rewards policy on their website. Copied & pasted below:

   “At the end of each month, we review all accounts and issue any rewards you may have earned, electronically in your secure, online account. This reward will be issued by the end of the following month.”

   Please keep in mind that the ad specifically says that you get “100% back in MaxPerks Bonus Rewards on your first 3 purchases of select sharpie permanent markers 12-pack, black or assorted. Limit 3 per item. Online only.” Here’s the important part – “Get back 25% in Rewards on each additional purchase thereafter.” So, you’re not going to get 100% back plus another 25% unless you buy more than 3 of each item.

  Jennifer, thanks so much for posting about the code for the markers actually being MPEVENT5 instead of MPEVENT4. I had entered the wrong code, but I just called OfficeMax and they fixed it for me. 🙂

    I called OfficeMax today and they said I used the correct code MPEVENT4, and she confirmed I would receive 100% back on the Sharpies, $35 back on the paper, and 75% back on the Avery lables I purchased. Hope this helps.
