I would love to know what you got in your Birchbox. I’ve now done it for 4 months and I get items that dont even total the $10! I get better samples from Bloom.com and those are free with order. So far, Birchbox has been a complete waste of $10 a month. I would caution anyone considering it.

I know every Birchbox is different so I of course cannot speak for yours but I LOVE my Birchbox so much every month! I ooh forward to it so much! I have year to be disappointed. Not at all trying to discredit your review just wanted to share the opinion of someone who loves it!

      • Rebekah

whoops look and yet not ooh and year

      • Alea

Me too!! Especially this month – my mom and I both get the boxes and we never get the same items. I LOVE the Zoya nail polish I got this month (Noel), plus I got a perfume sample, Supersmile whitening toothpaste, Borghese mud cleanser tube, a cologne sample, and two coasters (not really exciting about the coasters – but I loved the rest of the box)! I did the trial month of Julep Maven too – and was so disappointed that is definitely NOT worth it – so I cancelled that membership the same day I received my package.

I love love love my birchbox too. My recommendation is to keep your beauty profile updated! It is sometimes sad to see what other people get, I know there are months when I wish I had what someone else got, but some months I am so excited about mine! I do wish we had other options besides just birchbox though, the UK has tons to choose from, and many send out full size products, for 12-15 pounds, so not too bad on price either… oh well for now I am super happy with my box 🙂 Glad to know I didn’t miss much by not jumping on the Julep Maven Box 🙂

          • Danielle

I posted my referral code on the FB page if anyone is interested in birchbox!!

        • Erin S.

I love these monthly gift boxes!!! I will be gifting my Julep Maven box for the next few months so I don’t really see it as a waste. The Glycolic Hand Scrub in the intro box I received is divine though, I will be sad when that is all gone. It makes my hands incredibly soft!

I have read about a lot of problems with pausing and cancelling the service. Hopefully they get all that straightened out soon. It’s not good for business!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree. After the great reviews I had seen here, I tried Birchbox once and cancelled right after I got the box of samples of the kind I normally receive for free. I thought there would be at least one full-size product, but there was none, unless you count the little bottle of hand sanitizer, which to me is not really a beauty product. And that little “bracelet” was ridiculous! Julep Maven was a little better but then they charged my card anyway after I paused my box. I think I am done with these surprise boxes for awhile!

When you sign up for Birchbox, just as a month to month thing does it automaticallyt charge you every month unless you unsubscribe?

    • Alea

Yes it will charge you automatically each month unless you cancel it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been getting Bluum boxes since they first started. The company is amazing and as a mom to a 15 month old these have been an awesome treat in the mail. Last month had a pretty decent size deluxe sample of Strivectin SD wrinkle cream and I am loving it. It also had and organic pouch of food, some body butter that smells AMAZING, I have been using it for my knees & elbows, as well as some other lotion samples. The November box is named “Goodnight Moon” and I cannot wait to see what is in there!! 🙂

You can use code “MOVIE” to get $2 off this voucher making it $16.

    • marianoelle

      FOr the Bluum?

    • Kelsmarie007

Thanks for the code Diane! I saved $2!

      • mindy

        thanks! got the $2 off!!

  5. Jackie

Thanks, I’m gonna give this a try! I have a 25 month old with another on the way in about 7 weeks. I do Birchbox and overall am happy with those samples so this would be another fun one to try out! 🙂 Plus like you said, sometimes its just fun to get a “prize” in the mail!

    • Jackie

Just signed up, cost me $13 because I used Diane’s suggested “MOVIE” code and agreed to receive their emails and got another $3 off! However, when I went to check out (at Bluum) I was charged $1 for shipping. I tried 2 different credit cards and had issues with both (no idea why). I called Bluum’s customer service a couple of times to help with this and ultimately, they pushed my order through but they weren’t really sure what the problem was either. Not sure if anyone else had this problem.

If you use Eversave, they deposit a $5 bonus to my account which makes this $13.00. So check your account!!

  7. Crissy

I got a $3 credit for signing up to receive Eversave e-mails so I’ll give this a try for $13. I have two boys…3 yrs old & 3 months old, so I could use a fun mommy surprise. 🙂

    • Paulina

      I paid $11!
I had a $5 credit plus the $2 discount code! I didn’t find the Eversave receive emails for $3 though

  8. mindy

sorry….a little confused….so does this mean we will be paying $13 every month or is it $13 for all three months?

    • ALICE

      $13 for all three months

      • mindy

woooot! gonna try it. never really pamper myself. i’ll feel less selfish if my baby gets to get part of the prize too!

  9. Paulina

So what is the difference between the 3 month membership and the 3 month gift?

  10. Nel

Just ordered for my niece, she needs nothing so this will be a fun monthly treat for her to enjoy with her new baby!

  11. Jessica

Okay so before I order this, can someone just tell me if I’m understanding it right…you’re just buying the voucher (which is like a promo code) then once you’re ready to actually start getting the boxes, then you just go to that website & sign up? I wanna do this as a gift but I don’t want it to just automatically start sending right away…

  12. yancey

I bought the voucher from Eversave and Blumm says “this code is invalid” !
I have tried numerous times and cant get it to work. I find that Eversave is not reliable. Any suggestions?

  13. Lisa

Where are you finding it on Eversave to purchase? I can not seem to find it??

    • Lisa

I found it…I should have just looked at the post for this deal 😉

  14. Lisa

does anyone know how to add this 3 month subscription to a previous subscription that i bought from Plum District?

  15. marianoelle

I did this with eversave but now I can’t figure out how to redeem it thorugh Bluum. can someone help? i went to the e-mail I got and clicked redeem but then it didn’t show the reduced price.

    • marianoelle

      I figured it out 🙂
