No – their wall post says the first 4,000 – not they pick the 4,000.

I was going to try but it’s not working and the 5 dollars isn’t worth the hassle and time wasted. I have more important things to do like get my house ready for my hubby. He’ll be home from his deployment in a few days. 🙂 So good luck all you hipsters out there!

I just completed the entire thing. It took a few refresh buttons to do it, but when it finally went through it was quite easy!
I’m stuck on the finished page and it’s swirling for long time…should I refresh?

what this is a nightmare…. nothing new though everytime facebook crashes they really need to figure out a way to do something about these kinds of things

Got one! i have no idea how i slipped in, but i will take it. Once you finish your card there will be another link to “enter” for the giftcard. So if you are stuck on the twirly peppermint…you haven’t gotten in. i started over in a new tab and got through.

No email confirmation but when i got through the total number of cards made was on on 2002 so i’m assuming…let’s hope i’m right 🙂

After i clicked finish, it brings you to another screen where you “enter” for the gift card.
i just saw that the email arrive until DECEMBER! “Counter reflects total cards created, not winners. Gift Card winners will be notified by email on or around December 12.”

Finally worked! All this just for a “chance” to win a $5.00 gift card… I don’t know why I put myself through this, lol.
Finally got it to load now just waiting for the peppermint to quit turning and submit!
I could enter my info, but was sent back to the previous screen after hit ‘enter contest’. I could enter my info again, but still the same. Hope this still means I could enter.
FYI, from their FB wall-
re: number at bottom of card creation page — “Some people like to create more than one card, but we only count per person versus per card.”
So, even if the number showing is over 4,000, that only means 4,000+ cards have been created. It does NOT necessarily mean 4,000 people have made cards, so go ahead and create a card just in case!
I finally just got mine created. I went back to the main FB page to get an updated count and it says the servers are down. Hopefully I was one of the first 4,000.
Just finished and sent card at 10:30 PST… totally missed but the boat but when I went back to FB to look for a counter, now is says servers are down.

I just entered and it said 3,799 had made a card, could that be true?
when I entered it was at 39xx, maybe they restarted the counter??
