i am a b&n member and even without putting in my member info it was giving me a really great discount with the coupon code. for some reason if i order 2 of the same item, it took 80% off the first, then still the additional $5. for 2 kreo megatron sets, it came out to $30.94. regular price is $29.95 each.
….so $15.47 each!

I bought $100 of e-giftcards first to get the extra $10 gift card and 10% back on the gift card total purchase, then went through again and used the giftcard to pay! I *Think* this will get you double cash back on the purchases.

You can’t use both the $5 off and the %30 off.
Shipping negates the $5 off for me, and I used to be a member until I realized I had to spend something like $250 a year to start getting coupons. Oh well, I am glad to see some people are still getting a deal!

It’s free shipping if you spend $25 or more. Without signing into my account, if i put in 2 of the SAME ITEM in the cart, it takes of 80% off the first, then another $5 off. For example: 2 Mario Chess priced at $49.95 ends up being $54.93 for both! ($49.95*0.20-$4 + $49.95)

This happened to me too. I order two international plaything bowling sets and it took off an additional discount before the 30% and 5. Each playset is 24.95 but I got both for 26.80 including tax…plus 15% back through shop discover.

I added to my cart 2 toys totaling $12.90 (one was $6.95 and the other $5.95). And I also added a $15 book. The 30% came off the book to drop it to $10 something, but for some reason with the toys, they are only taking off $2.98, or something like that. I tried switching around the toys a little bit, changing colors and one time I tried changing a style, but never would it take off the full $5 for me. I finally just gave up! 🙂

I was able to use both codes on only one item. I’m a B&N member, so my shipping was free. I got my daughter a Webkinz plush. It was $14.95 and came to only $5.79 shipped after the codes! Ok so I figured why not try for free shipping – and with a $25 order the coupon code (supposedly 30% off, right?) I save less than with my educator discount, which is only 20%! B&N is so confusing sometimes!
I just got off the phone with B&N; she said only select toys for the 5$ off.
Apparently you have to be a member to get free shipping and if you aren’t then they calculate free shipping after coupon codes are applied. So you have to have $25 in your cart after you do discounts if you are a nonmember.
You have to place 2 toys in the bag…I have no idea how the discount is calculated but I got the Tumble & Twirl Top (list price $19.95, but on sale for $9.94) and the Sassy Guitar (6.95) for only $5.81 including tax and free shipping!
It only takes 30% off of the LOWEST item in my cart, not the highest item, i’ve tried all different kinds of scenarios 🙁

Had problems with them not taking my coupons. Finally realized I had to go back to the shipping address page and put in my phone number (even though it said it wasn’t required). After I put in my phone number it took it.
It gave me the $5 discount automatically so I was able to use the 30% off code as well 🙂

I just figured out that you can use both codesone one thing, for all items with a price of 14.95 or higher. I just messed around with different items until i got the pattern down. Bought the leapfrog fridge thingy for $5.47 shipped. I just wish we could do it more than once 🙂 HTH someone!

Was very excited when I placed my order through B&N. Then when I got my confirmation receipt after the order was placed it did not take the 30% off code. I have called three times to speak to CS about this and each time I call I am told that because I received two offers off this one order that I reached my limits of offers. I got the $5 off $10 toy purchase (I purchased two toys that totaled over $35) and free shipping (off orders of $25 or more). I also purchased a $5 gift to ensure after the offers were taken off the total that I still had over $25 for the shipping. Neither of those required a coupon code and this is what I do not understand: since those were OFFERS for Cyber Monday and this was a 30% off COUPON CODE and not an offer why cant I use it…because clearly it is a valid offer otherwise no one else would have been able to get this offer. Not too sure if I will be shopping through B&H online the next time. The customer service people were not helpful and one accused me of trying to cheat the system. Not the case and the accusation makes me upset. Thanks for giving me a place to rant. I am a little upset by the customer service individual that accused me of cheating the system and I still can not see where I went wrong and did not receive the prices being offered. Maybe one of you guys can explain it to me because I surely am not out to cheat B&H or anyone else for that matter. Thanks!

I just got an email that Barnes and Noble canceled my order from yesterday. I’m so bummed! I had followed the posting, and I had ordered my item. I got a confirmation and everything. Did this happen to anyone else? It’s frustrating that they put up an offer like that only to not honor it.
They charged me more as well. This is upsetting, toys are got would be cheaper in Target. Oh, well – last time I order sale items from B&N.
