Maybe it’s because they have cancer causing chemicals in them…
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/01/johnson-johnson-baby-sham_n_1069123.html
The whole thing makes me sad.
Yeah, I refuse to buy J & J baby for this reason….but does Aveeno have these chemicals too? Anyone know?
I only looked at one product and it didn’t. I wrote the two chemicals down on a slip of paper and tucked it in my wallet so I can check before purchasing any new products.
WHAT IS THE NAMES OF THE CHEMICAL?
dioxane and quaternium-15 (which releases formaldehyde) between others!
I am looking at the back of my Bedtime Gift Set and I see no mention of these chemicals!? Here are the ingredients listed in the items found in this set:
Baby Bedtime Bath:
Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Cocamido-propyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Polysorbate 20, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide.
Bubble Bath & Wash:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Acrylates Copolymer, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Lauroamphodiacetate, Fragrance, Glycol Distearate, Potassium Acrylates Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Laureth-4, Ethylhexyglycerin, Polyquaternium-7.
Bedtime Lotion:
Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ceteareth-6, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Sodium Citrate, Stearyl Alcohol, Ethylparaban, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide.
Whew! LOL…Got all that!?
The “bedtime” collection ranks between 4-6 on the http://www.ewg.org/skindeep website for various reasons, but not limited to, Endocrine disruption, Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive), Miscellaneous, Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs), Contamination concerns, Occupational hazards, Neurotoxicity, Biochemical or cellular level changes.
In general, you should stay away from:
-“Parabens”
-These common alternatives to parabens release carcinogenic Formaldehyde:
quaternium 15
diazolidinyl urea
imidazolidinyl urea
dmdm hydantoin
sodium hydroxy methyl glycinate
benzyl alcohol
2-bromo-2-nitropane-1, 3-diol,
-“Phthalates”
-“Fragrance” (Most fragrances are no longer made from natural substances, but are made from synthetic chemicals. The fragrance industry regularly uses more than 3,000 chemical ingredients to create perfumes and fragrances. About 95% of these ingredients are synthetic. There can be as many as 100 chemicals in a single fragrance.)
-I also avoid Sodium Laureth Sulfate, but many companies who are more natural and organic will usually opt out of using this as well.
ewg.org is a good place to get your feet wet if it’s new to you. I’ve been heavily researching these and other chemicals for almost 5 years and am still learning new things every day. The important thing when first starting out is not to overwhelm yourself! Good luck!
I would also avoid sulfates and parabens (these products have several parabens)
Absolutely. I learned in skincare training that SLS, parabens, and pthalates are bad news. I am not sure why anyone would want to put SLS on a newborn baby’s skin, even if it does smell good (I personally don’t care for the smell and think it smells kinda chemical-ish).
hi collin
was super suprised in reading all the info about baby products. A friend just told me of this site. Check it out. You’ll love it. This will def clear up and concerns.
lotions:
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/browse/baby+lotion/
shampoos:
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/browse/baby+shampoo/
This link said aveeno has the same chemicals!
You can check out the toxicity of many of your bath/body products at an independently run site called https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
Type in the product and it will tell you what chemicals are in them.
Err on the side of caution, especially with your kids!!! Over 75% of what you put on your body is absorbed into the bloodstream.
I refuse to support J&J because they knew many of their ingredients were potentially or proven toxic, were banned in Europe, yet continued to use them in the US until they were called on it.
The US bath/body industry does not have as much regulation as you would think.
I can’t find info on that site about Up & UpNight-time Baby brand…anyone know how it ranks for safety?
If they don’t have your product on there, look at your ingredients list, and type each ingredient in the search box individually. You can learn the score on each ingredient in your brand.
Agreed.
Their lotions also have mineral oil in them, a big no no for me.
sorry this has nothing to do with this add but i has been subscribing to all these free samples and nothing has come in the mail yet and it has been like to monthes umm does anyone know about how long it takes to recieve the samples cause it says like a week to two weeks or four to six but nothing has come
Thank you for posting about this. I had no idea and have been using J&J for almost 3 years with my first son. Looks like both my boys are going to be using Aveeno…. doesnt smell as good as J&J but atleast my boys will be healthy.
Not only are there nasty cancer-causing chemicals in it, it is just terrible for a baby’s skin. My pediatrician told me to stay far away from J&J baby products. I use Dr. Bronner’s soaps for my kids.
Method has a line of baby soaps and lotions, too. Not 100% natural, but loads better than J&J or Aveeno even. And they smell really, really good! If that “baby soap” smell is important to you.
I use Dr Bronners for my kiddos too!! I love it! Stay FAR AWAY from J&J people, more and more people are being aware of their toxic chemicals in their products so sales must be going down. Also there was a lawsuit against them for this same reason!
Is the Dr. Bronners all natural? I just got a deal from Plum District and got a bunch of all natural organic soaps/washes for the kids. $9 for $50 worth of stuff…yeah it doesn’t have the same smell but I’d rather have them then a smell anyday!
Meagan YES! They make their soaps with all natural oils, it’s really good stuff, when you pick up a bottle and read the ingredients, you can easily understand what they are, vs picking a bottle of J&J or even Aveeno and try to decipher the ingredients on them.
By the way Meagan is the deal you got on Plum District still available?
Yes, I am wondering the same thing!
No the deal was around cyber monday when there was the 40% off…I got that Babo stuff I also ordered some from Eco Mom when that craziness went on.
I use Dr. Bronner’s and LOVE it! I’ve been using it on my little guy since birth and his skin is wonderfully soft.
HUGE fan of Dr. B’s too!
is it expensive? My little guys skins is very dry and crusty in spots very weird…wondering if its the J&J doing it?? The aveeno didnt help either. And where can you buy it?
You should be able to find it on Vitacost.com, but I bought mine at Whole Foods. Target also sells Dr. Bronner’s. Vitacost has a cheaper brand, Dr. Woods, which is also great!
And the soaps are not terribly expensive. You will probably get the best deal from Vitacost!
I buy Dr. Bronner’s at my local Hy-Vee or Target or my local health food store. I buy the bars for the bathtub and the liquids for my cleaning products (I make my own). If your child has skin issues, using most baby products on the market, like J&J, will only make it worse. Dr. Bronner’s is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. My son has suffered from eczema since birth, so we have to be careful what we put on his skin. Dr. Bronner’s, even the scented ones, do not make him break out. After his bath, we rub warm coconut oil on him….we do not use Eucerin or Aquaphor or anything like that. Again, too chemical filled. The coconut oil helps to keep his skin very clear!
Glad you posted this link!! It’s ironic that we were all just talking about this at my sister’s baby shower this past weekend!
I brought this very subject up once on a full cup and I love that website (so not saying anything negative about it), but wow, I thought the ladies were going to bite my head off for bringing up the subject. It was when Rite Aid had them for free and everyone was getting 50 to 100 of them. I was concerned about the cancer causing chemicals too, but after saying something on that site I thought maybe I was crazy because no one else felt the same way. Wouldn’t you know it, all the super nice people on hip2save can actually have a discussion about this, and bounce ideas off each other and not get mad or say hurtful things to each other:) I’m so glad the OP said something, doesn’t mean anyone has to agree, ofcoarse you can make that choice if they want to use J&J or not, but it’s nice to know some of us are not alone. This is one of many reasons I love Hip2save, everyone is so nice and I know it’s because Collin sets such a great example for all of us.
I use the Johnson’s Natural line…does this also have the cancer causing chemicals in it? Thank you!
Kimberly, I am not sure but I would not trust J&J at all with my babes, so what you can do is grab your J&J Naturals bottle and look at the ingredients and google them. I usually only buy products that I can understand their ingredients, if you see an ingredient that you cannot even pronounce, I just don’t buy it.
Thank you! I will definitely look into it.
I honestly have never heard that before! Have they found a lot of children with Cancer from using this?? Or from other things with those same chemicals in them??
I don’t think there are enough studies being done to prove this at this point K, but I am very careful with what I put on my kiddos’ little bodies, if you are using a product that contain a chemical that you can easily google and find that is a carcinogen, etc then why risk it?
I just googled this and found and article that the chemicals are not put into the products as an additive they are byproducts of manufacturing. J&J has said they are working with suppliers to try manufacture without the byproduct.
The cause of many cancers is unknown. I would not like to take the risk of using known carcinogens on my babies, even in trace amounts. It is simply not worth it. THANK YOU SO MUCH POSTING THIS AND FOR EDUCATING ME. I HAD NOOOOOOOO IDEA. I am shocked and horrified that a company would do such a thing. I just checked my up&up shampoo (supposed to be like j&j) and it also has Quaternium-15. I may try to return that to target. As for my J&J, it is trashed already.
Yes please return it and tell them exactly why you are returning it! Things like this will help that companies start producing better stuff for our babies!
Also watch this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfq000AF1i8
CRAP – Target Up & Up baby (I use night-time soothing wash/bath) has the bad chemicals TOO? Oh man, that sucks. I have to switch.
WOW. I had NO idea. I have two children under 3yrs old and I’ve been loyal to J&J. I am making the switch immediately. THANK YOU for posting this.
I use Melaleuca’s products. They are wayyyy better. J&J is horrible!
cosmeticdatabase.org has info on the chemicals in products. It’s not just baby products that are questionable. We use California baby here.
Very interesting article, thanks for sharing. First arsenic in the apple juice and now this. When will these companies stop poisening our children to make a buck! If you notice there have been all kinds of coupons from those major brands of juice Dr Oz tested. These have been banned from my house, but now I’m seeing grape juice is an issue too:( I used to be very brand loyal and only buy the expensive juice especially geared towards children. I used to pay more, and switched to Meijer brand that gets their apple juice from the US. Go figure the generic is better than the name brand for a 40% savings!
I would avoid apple juice anyway, it’s basically sugar water.
They will continue doing this and more as long as the FDA continues to allow them to.
Me to holy cow. Im scared now!….
I was scared after I watched a documentary called “tapped” about bottled water and how everything that’s packaged in that bpa plastic that’s a by product of oil! Then I thought…what’s NOT packaged in plastic?!!
I have also read that the “no tears” feature of J&J baby products has nothing to do with being “gentle as water” and more to do with the a numbing chemical.
“This is not a “tear-free” shampoo. Those “tear-free” shampoos use toxic petroleum chemicals to make their soaps “tear-free”. Some of those chemicals have been linked to skin and eye problems and even some cancers.” -https://healing-scents.com/baby_and_child.html
“trace amounts of potentially cancer causing chemicals” -Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo Has Cancer-Causing Chemicals, Group Says
If you look hard enough you will find this statement for just about everything we encounter everyday. You can live as “green” as you want eat only veggies and meat that you have raised yourself and still be exposed somewhere. I also take this “research” with a grain of salt. Remember not to buy Gerber juice because it contains arsenic per info from the Dr. Oz show. He is a Dr. so he should know everything right?
Ok also an addition to the chemical talk. Think about how many chemicals go into the diapers that most of us use which are similar to the chemicals used in menstrual pads. We wrap up our kids in those every day. Even the “environmentally friendly” brands still have trace amounts. I believe that it was P&G that has published their own “research” about how bad cloth diapers are for the environment. Yep you read that right they claim that cloth diapers are worse for the environment then disposable diapers. However I think I have also read somewhere that both P&G and Kimberly Clark have registered a patent for their own version of a hybrid cloth diaper (reusable cover and disposable insert). Big companies know to be multiple steps ahead of the consumer mind set. So these companies are ready for it if/when cloth diapers(or whatever the next big thing is) get to be popular again this way the introduction of their new product is smooth.
Everybody should watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfq000AF1i8
Yes lets ask the Government to step in and tell us what what we can and can’t make, buy, and use. “We need common sense laws”, NO we just need to use common sense. If you don’t want a product or chemical in your home then you should send that message to companies by not buying from them. There are lots of small businesses that are creating healthier alternatives to big-box solutions. There is currently a push to help out small businesses and a push to buy local. So use your own common sense if these things worry you and by locally from a small business that provides green or toxin free products. Don’t ask the government to make your decisions for you the more laws they make the harder they make it for small businesses to thrive.

This video challenges EVERYTHING that woman claims!
Thank you for sharing this video counter video. I saw the first one months ago and was wondering about some of the claims Annie made. Interesting stuff.
Also, Aveeno is part of Johnson & Johnson, which tests on animals.
Not saying whether these particular products contain the chemicals or not, but the posted article and links from that article are discussing J&J baby shampoo. The items in this sale are the baby wash. Like I said, not vouching for the safety of baby wash but thought it would be fair to say it is a different product.
There are a lot of J&J products that have these same chemicals. I would not risk it, personally.
Hi All!
This discussion is very interesting as this was new to me! However, I’m looking at the back of my Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Set and I see no mention of the “dioxane and quaternium-15” chemicals? I wonder if it’s referring to the Yellow Johnson’s baby shampoo only?
They are changing their lines because they have been exposed.
From what I understand, their ‘natural’ products do not have the harmful chemicals in them, but I personally wouldn’t give them business on principal.
It was national news about 2 months ago.
Check out any product at https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
It is very eye opening. I never really cared very much until I started researching products. The US does not have much regulation in this regard.
J&J in particular, has KNOWN some of their ingredients could be potentially toxic. They had been banned in Europe, yet continued to use them in the US division. It happens a lot in many companies, because to use natural, proven absolutely safe, or organic ingredients is just more expensive. They are companies looking at their bottom line.
Is it really worth getting something for cheap or free if it could cause health problems down the line?
Thank you so much for saying this, Jane. So true.
I will be switching soaps as well. But from researching it appears there are alot of things that contain this such a CG makeup some almay make up hair dye and so forth….. https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/browse.php?containing=705478&order=webscore_DESC&&showmore=products&atatime=500 gives the list of an abundance of products and tells you if the risk is moderate high or low… Does anyone know if there is an actual case where it has been known to cause cancer or leukemia? Just curious.
This website has been a lifesaver for me. No more guessing what chemicals cause cancer, etc. Environmental Working Group is a non-profit organization that has tested over 69,000 products including baby products, cosmetics, sunscreen, eye care, oral care, etc. I don’t buy a thing for my 2-year old and 3-year old without looking it up on this website first!
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
They have a ratings system (0-10) for all of the products they test. 0 being the safest, 10 being the worst.
Just so you all know almost every hospital washes your newborn baby in this! I would think that if a medical facility does this it is ok for you to also.
I definitely wouldn’t rely on that logic!
I also definitely would NOT rely on that logic. This is a good website, run by a NICU nurse. She is horrified by what most hospitals put on babies. http://www.babies411.com
Just a side question for everyone questioning certain brands of body products, cosmetics, etc- how do you all deal with taking OTC & prescribed meds- most of which contain known carcinogens but in certain FDA allowable PPM (parts per million) similar to the allowable levels in these body products/cosmetics?
Well, I can’t speak for everyone, but within my family, we take as little OTC and prescription drugs as possible. If absolutely needed, then, yes, we do take them. And that is why I do things like use safe bath products and make my own cleaning products – they are things I CAN control. There will always be harmful things in our environment; we simply cannot control everything. But we can control some things, such as what products we use on ourselves and our children. And if more and more people start making those decisions, to buy safer products, the fewer chemicals that will be leeched into the environment. I always tell people new to all of this, don’t get overwhelmed and think that there is no way you can fix everything because EVERYTHING causes cancer or is harmful….take baby steps. Do what you CAN, don’t focus on what you can’t and eventually, if more and more people do this, change will happen. 🙂
Beautifully said, Amanda! It looks like we have a lot in common. The most important thing, like you said, is to realize that you can’t do it all! There is no way to completely get rid of everything that could be potentially harmful, but being proactive is the first step in the right direction.
Agreed!
Thanks for posting the article. I had some Johnsons vanilla oatmeal in the bathroom and could not find these chemicals on there but decided to look up more natural brands and just ordered burts bees baby wash off of amazon. I found this pdf link from cosmetics database that lists chemicals to avoid and helps with shopping choices. https://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/special/parentsguide/EWG_parentsguide.pdf
P&G Just bought Burts Bees so heads up.
Unless you have some new top secret info, I’m pretty sure this is inaccurate. Clorox has owned Burt’s Bees for quite some time.
The products I have do not list these chemicals in them. Either J&J has changed their formula or they are breaking the law by not listing them. I understand the emphasis we have on protecting our children from harmful chemicals, but we also have to understand that everyday they are adding more and more to the list of carcinogens. If you let your child swim in a pool you are exposing them to chemicals used to treat the water…. some of which are carcinogens. If you use nonstick cookware or stain resistant fabrics you are exposed to chemicals… some of which are carcinogens. If you are a breastfeeding mother and you are exposed to carcinogens you are passing those along in your breastmilk. Grease resistant packaging (popcorn bags, pizza boxes etc) contain chemicals that are suspected carcinogens. To demonize this company, and not the others who use these chemicals is hypocrisy. As for the ones posting the ratings website, if you look at the rating for many of the high risk items you should also notice that it states the studies are limited (this is only one above non existent on their scale of investigative studies). Take these articles with a grain of salt, and know that while we want to protect our children from everything harmful, we live in a world that is dependent on preservatives and imitation. I do agree that once something is studied and proven to be a link in cancer, or any disease for that matter, it needs to be discarded, especially in products for our children.
And that is EXACTLY why you do what you can to reduce your, and your children’s risk! You can’t control everything in your environment, but you CAN control what goes on your child. And when safer choices are readily available, why not?? Just my 2 cents….

https://www.psr.org/news-events/press-releases/toxic-chemicals-found-in-doctors-and-nurses.html
Finding nonstick cookware is getting easier and easier because of the push for safer products. More and more places, like hotels, are moving to salt water pools instead of chlorinated. Etc, etc. And I personally am not demonizing J&J and leaving other companies out. Believe me, it’s pretty much all of them that are putting harmful chemicals in products. The post was just related to J&J, and that is why it is being discussed more so than other companies.
We use Melaleuca products and will never use anything else.
Aveeno is also on sale for $4.49, excellent price given the size of the bottles. I got a couple with the $10 gc deal to get my total up to $50 🙂
Is there another $10 GC deal if you buy $50. I thought the facebook one expired on 12/3.
Hoping this works in Northern CA

Actually, Collin, the coupon reads that is is for “any Johnson’s Gift Set product”
Thanks, I’ll be sure to update the post!
Thank you!! Makes for great baby shower gifts!!!

I could only print one too. But I wonder if the J&J target Qs I got in my registry packet will match up…

Don’t forget about the Target Baby mailer. It has a coupon for $1.00 off any Johnson & Johnson baby toiletry item expires 1-11-12
Thank you! Forgot about that!
wish I had a target nearby. Darn, have two baby gifts to buy and this would be perfect to add to diapers and wipes.
bummer. just tried to print the coupon. “Sorry, this coupon has already been

Is the coupon link only letting you print one coupon?
Just one. I know, I was bummed too.

My sidekick Mary was also able to do this deal and she’s in Texas! 😀
I am in Augusta, GA and it worked. I saw your post on my phone and ran by Target while I was out and picked up 2… asked the cashier if I could bring my coupon back tomorrow and she said no problem, as long as I had the receipt! 🙂
anyone know of any aveeno coupons?
i think they have 1$ off in 10/30 ss
Collin had posted about an aveeno deal at Target a few weeks back. I was unable to use my coupons then so I used the 3 dollars off of two aveeno products. The picture showed a baby product so I used it and got 1.50 off of each one. I have misplaced the other one I had as well or I could look at the date. I hope the coupon is still good. I used it last week.
YES it does work just got 6 with 2 300 off and 2 100 off for 20.00 bucks great deal also got 22 off the j&j not the bedtime ones though regular ones for under 400

Where did you find them in the Saginaw, MI store?? Thanks 🙂
My Target truly sucks, so fingers crossed this is a national deal! With two young kids, these gift sets would def come in handy!
I was just at work earlier today and I would love this, but I can’t get back to Target until tomorrow. OH WELL. I remember seeing them on the shelf too!!! AHHH.
They rang up 4.49 for me in Mississippi!! Definitely needed this with a 1 year old and one more on the way!! 🙂 The coupons did beep though but the cashier put them through…thanks Collin!!!
Can you let me know if anyone finds these on sale in Kentucky?
I’m in TN,–on the border of Tn and KY..and they didn’t even have any in my Walmart.
Woops I mean Target!
Aveeno — which is part of Johnson & Johnson — does test on animals, which makes it a no go for me.
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
About two years ago I stopped buying from companies that test on animals. Just about every single large company like P&G, Johnson and Johnson, Arm and Hammer, Unilever, etc.. test on animals. It’s truly a shame.
I’m in the middle of transitioning right now (couldn’t afford to dump it all at once). Do you have any recommendations for cosmetics or toiletries? I couldn’t believe so many did it!
I highly recommend Seventh Generation anything, Alba, Jason, Avalon, Too Faced cosmetics, Tarte cosmetics, Korres cosmetics. I also use castile soap for bathing and cleaning, and I LOVE it.
Awesome! I actually picked up today’s soap.com voucher to stock up on a few Seventh Generation products, and I used the Vitacost deal to get Alba face wash/toner (it arrived today and I really like it). Super excited to check out the cosmetics lines, too.
Slowly, I’m getting there… Thank you so much for your response 🙂
I use both Aveda and Seventh Generation products and love them both!!!! (California Baby for my little girl). When you buy Aveda they have a rewards program worth points on every purchase. 2,500 points gets you a Seventh Generation cleaning package that has detergent, fabric softener, household cleaner, dish washing soap, and regular dish soap. I have received 3 FREE Seventh Generation packages shipped to my house!!!!!
I had no idea they do that! That is awesome! I have not used Aveda since they stopped making the Sap Moss shampoo/conditioner. That stuff was the best!
that is awesome! I looked it up and here is the starting point for anyone who is interested: https://pureprivilege.com/templates/home/?SET_LOCALE=us
Go to Melaleuca’s website, melaleuca.com . We don’t use anything else.
I am also against testing body products on animals, but quite frankly- ALL the drugs we take for any ailment (for those of us who take any drugs) including OTC drugs are tested on animals or were tested on animals at some point in the past. Just a side note, but for skin care, people will in fact volunteer with early testing, while obviously people are not legally allowed to start in early testing of drugs.
That’s good to know. Thanks!
Does any one have the UPC for this item..cant read it in the picture…wanna call and make sure my target has them before i drag baby out in the rain!

Does anyone have any idea around where in the store these are located? I’ve been looking around and can’t seem to find them!
Mine was on the end cap of the aisle with the baby body washes.
Mine was on the end cap with the baby wash and up on the top shelf.
argghh! sooo missing the target i used to live by! i am stuck with good old wally world!
Worked here in MD, but I did have some coupon beepage. I got 2 (we have two comps). Pretty sure I was using them correctly though (q only excluded smaller sets) and they were pushed through! Thanks Collin!
thank you so much for posting this my son loves bubble baths and I was able to get two sets for only $2!
What are the chemicals that are so bad…I had no clue!
“The campaign’s May 2009 report, called “No More Toxic Tub,” stated that studies by an independent laboratory it hired, Analytical Sciences LLC of Petaluma, Calif., found that 1,4-dioxane was contained in Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Shampoo, Oatmeal Baby Wash, Moisture Care Baby Wash and Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash.”
The best thing is to read these articles & definitely keep an open mind. While I am all for making sure products are made the safest & most humane way, I also am quite leary of independent groups that are asked by the advocacy group (who pays this independent group to do the research) to run research. It’s always good to be educated on toxins in our foods & health care products, but it always as important to make sure you don’t “jump” just b/c a group (who has an agenda) says “jump”.
What exactly are the bad chemicals? I have no idea…
Wanted to let everyone know, when I checked out I bought 3 gift sets. 2 bathtime and one regular. They we $4.49 and the coupons worked for all 3(3 computers, one print per). I used my red card to check out and the catalina machine printed out a coupon for a FREE box of John Frieda Hair Color. $13.49 max! Yay!
Does anyone have an item # for these? I want to call my local Target and see if there are any stores that carry these. I called one store and they had no idea what I was talking about.
Hmm, no but the the UPC for the Bedtime Set is 38137-1154395! Hope they have them in stock for ya! 😀
They don’t 🙁 I just called. The lady said there are no stores in my area that carry them! Boo!

list of companies that test on animals
peta is a joke!!! anyone who buys into their proaganda should be ashamed of themselves.
I wholeheartedly agree. PETA is a crock of crap, and I am a HUGE animal rights activist. I think there are much better sources out there than PETA. I don’t even want to get into how hypocritical and disgusting they are.
OMG Caitlin you are the ONLY person i have heard say that!!! i can argue with the peta people forever, but stupid poeple begat stuipid people.
Oh, we are not alone. There are plenty of people who believe that way! PETA is all about PETA, not helping animals. Just ask those puppies they “rescued” and threw in a dumpster…
you ladies ever seen Penn and Teller’s Bullshit on PETA? its hilarious, first of all, and exposes all of the terrible things they do… definitely worth watching.
She posted a list of companies that test on animals. Do you really have start ripping PETA? The accuracy of the list doesn’t change because it’s posted on PETA’s website. You can find the same info anywhere else. Thanks for the list!
I work in the nursery at my local hospital and we are ordering natural soap packets and getting rid of the J&J baby wash because of this. I don’t remember the name of the brand we are switching to. It is on order.
That’s aweomse Jen, hopefully more hospitals will start caring for babies like the one you work at!
Scored 2 J&J and 2 Aveeno!
I tripped over these at my Target in Maine the other day and they actually had a sign in front of them saying they were 4.49. I picked up 2 for friends having babies….wish I had known at the time there was a coupon out there! 🙁 Oh well, still a good deal at 4.49!
Do you still have the receipt? If so, they will honor the coupon (or my store does). Just carry it to Customer Service. Did this with the $10 gc coupon the other day and asked about this one, too and they said no problem!!! 🙂
Coupon doesn’t print for me 🙁
Hoping these are available tomorrow after I get off of work:)
My store didn’t carry these. 🙁
If you are unable to use them email me at amandaloos@hotmail.com I have lots of P&G coupons I won’t be using let me know if you are interested 🙂
I didn’t notice this sale in the ad, so I was curious does anyone know how long the sale is good for?? Is it over this Saturday or some other date? I know unadvertised deals tend to run differently….

thanks for the video rachael. love how all these people “had no idea these chemicals are in all the products i use every day for the past 60 yrs, im going to throw it all out and switch” challenge everything!!!! do your own research!!! im going on al all mushroom diet, get cancer then sue the pants off of the growers, the gov, and the supermarkets for allowing cancer causeing food to be sold and distributed. what a joke these people are
Tried two targets next to me and both don’t sell these. 🙁

Had to check 2 targets, one had none and the other was completely stocked! I had 4 of the $3 coupons and also the baby mailer coupon. All my coupons beeped and said I didn’t buy the right item but the lady pushed it through. Just a heads up!
