   I was at Lowe’s today. They had packs of batteries (16 AA or AAA, 4 9v, etc) for $9.97 each that contained a coupon for $10 off a $50 Lowes purchase. I combined it with a coupon from a recent Sunday paper and got the batteries for $8.87. I had gone in to Lowes to get paint chips so I could buy paint tomorrow, so this is perfect for me. The $10/50 coupons expire 12/31/11.

  $1 off the batteries (energizer, I think). I don’t save inserts with dates, i just cut out coupons I might reasonably use. Sorry! But I think there are searchable coupon databases that can tell you.

  sockets are used on bolts similar to how a screwdriver is used for screws.

    Does anyone know…my husband needs new drill bits….or those little tips that are in some of the sets….is there a set of these??? #clueless

  If your husband uses drill bits often enough that he needs some new ones, these are likely too low quality. If he’s not doing a lot of handyman jobs and only very occasionally needs a drill bit, these would be ok. (My dad is a woodworker, and he believes you get what you pay for with tools)

  Thanks, Tracie. My husband doesn’t do a ton of work with drill bits…but he leaves them in his pocket and loses them. 🙂 Are they universal?? He has a really super nice drill…just lean on the drill bits because he throws them around…lol.

  The things in all the pics are screwdriver tips…drill bits are longer for drilling holes. Which do you need?

    We’ve made the decision to not shop at Lowe’s since they pulled their ads off of the reality show starring muslims after a “Christian” group from Florida wrote in letters. It saddens me that there continues to be bigots in our wonderful country. As a Christian, I believe in Christ’s teachings and how he showed us to love ALL, not just those who have the same belief system.
