Thanks! I own this (I got it a couple years ago for about $25 or $30 on special). It is wonderful if you like this kind of documentary. I just got 2 copies–one for each my dad & father-in-law since they both love animal planet and national geographic type shows! They are so hard to shop for and this was perfect! Sometimes it pays to be clueless about what you’re gonna get someone!

just a thought, but i would say no to having a 2 year old watch it. i would stick with either *nothing* or barney-ish type shows.
No I would not let any child under 7 or 8 watch it because some content is violent but some of the episodes are better than others!! I would for sure watch it (even just the part you are going to let the child watch cause this is long) before you let a child see it and get a feel for yourself..you are the only one that knows what your child can handle!! hope that helped!!
The mature warning comes up because it is unrated. As something unrated, they naturally have to warn about possibility of mature content. Like others have stated, it contains natural violence occasionally (predators eating prey), but I can’t recall seeing anything hugely graphic or disturbing. (No Saw or Hostile level gore, lol). I’d preview it first and make a not of possible fast-forward areas.

I also missed this the first time and was so bummed! my husband and i liked watching these on TV and even bought the series for around $40 for my sister and her family a couple years ago (and i thought the $40 was a good price!). i’m excited to have this series for our family, it’ll be great for my toddler when he’s a little older, and it’s so rare to find a nature show that’s not completely boring….this series is excellent!

It’s mature because of natural violence, like animals killing other animals and such. Can be slot for a child to take in. But my 5 year old loves this stuff. Watch it and use your judgment.

I am on a very tight budget as I have Degenerative Back disease and spent 16 of me 34 years of life working in Law enforcement and it was wasted as I am on my 4th surgery in 2 years and will never be able to work again!! This is something my family loved and wanted to keep on DVR but took up way to much space!! Now I can lay with my family and watch something good anytime we want!! I am giving it as a Family Gift!! Thank you so much if it was not for you My kids would not have a Christmas this year!! The Toy drive in my area only got 200 gifts with a list of 2000 for my area!! I cried not because we could not get anything for my kids but every year We had been able to give and this year I am using any extra change to save up to get then deals I find on here!!
