the dove coupon says $1.50 for shampoo or cond. not body wash??

    • ericswifeowensmom

there were 2 different qs available on the dove website

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, the sale in the ad is for hair care products I believe 🙂

      • Krystal

Visible Care that you’re talking about is a body wash.

  2. Mandy

I just got 2 Planters coupons from the Magic Coupon Machine today.

$1 off one Planters Nutrition item
    $.50 off 2 Planters 1.5-6 oz or 2 Nabisco 1-3 oz items

Makes the Planters Nutrition deal just a little sweeter!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh wow, that’s awesome! 😀

  3. jessica

can i use the $5 coupon and starter kit refill coupon together?

    • carrie

I have used the 2 coupons in the past before.

      • Amy

Yes it works,I have done it before too, go for it!

    • Lauren Morrow

yes because one coupon is for the Swiffer kit and the other is for the refill, shouldn’t be a problem

  4. Grace

If I buy (3) Bounty Paper Towels 12 pk. 9.99
Use (3) $1/1 Bounty 6ct or larger found in 1/1 PG
    Pay $27
    Get Back $10
Final Cost $17 for 3 Packs of 12 Bounty Paper Towels

Is this a good deal? I’m kind of a beginner to coupons so I would like some advice on this deal idea. Thank so much.

    • Jana

that would make it .47 a roll which is ok in my opinion for Bounty. I never get the $1/1 though, in my area we get the .25/1 Bounty coupons. I try to never pay more than .50/roll for paper towels, and I will not buy the cheap paper towels like store brands. This is one area we don’t skimp in my house.

      • mel

I never count my earned rewards on my initial purchase, but rather as I use them (thats how I keep track in my savings spread sheet, if not then I feel as if I”m double counting). So, I’m still paying $27 for 3 packs, = .75/roll. I live in an area with no doubles, so $1 or less per roll is what I aim for, esp for good paper towels! .75/roll to me is a great price.

        • Grace

Thanks so much for your opinions!

      • Nicole

I never receive $1 off in my area either. Always 0.25.

    • Marcia

if you happen to have got the $5 off purchase of $25 or more it makes it even better 🙂

  5. brooke

Does cvs accept blinky manufacturer coupons i have $2 off charmin

    • mel

they should… many of the CVS stores in my area have blinkie machines! (not for the Charmin, but I’ve pulled q’s from other products before)

    • elle

I used 2 Charmin blinkies last week at my CVS.

    • Nicole

There shouldnt be any reason why not. They’re manufacturer q’s!

  6. mel

The pepsi deal must be regional, I cannot find it in my ad??

  7. Jason

Watch out for the price on the Skinny Cow. They are priced at $4.99 each in my store and the coupon is for up to $3.48. Depending on how the cashier rings it in, you may have to pay $$1.50 for two boxes. The manager at my store rang it up for me tonight, and pointed out to me the difference in the cost and value of the coupon. Then, as we were talking she keyed in $4.99 by accident. She said, “Happy New Year” and left it at that for me.

    • guai

wow how nice of her to did that 🙂 we can use ECB to cover the sales in difference right? my CVS has them for $4.99 too

    • Angela Regan

How can you use a buy 1 get 1 coupon on an item that is already on sale for BOGO? I see that the CVS policy doesn’t say you can’t do that, but doesn’t make sense to me,because then you’re not “buying” one…….the Rite Aid policy says you can’t use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale

      • Carol

Don’t ask me “where” but in one of her videos Collin talks about this. The manufacturer is paying for one with the coupon and the store is paying for the other with the sale. The store gets reimbursed for the cost of the item from the manufacturer, so it’s almost the same as cash to them.

        • rachel

I can not get the walmart site to link me to what ever site has the skinny cow coupon. How did it work for you all?

    • Jacqueline

I encountered this problem this am. I didn’t realize the coupon was up to $3.48. Initially the cashier keyed in 4.99, but on the second or third coupon, the register automatically entered $3.48, so he went back and adjusted down the previous coupons. I probably wouldn’t have bought them if I had realized this.

      • Greta

I only had 2 coupons so I bought 4 boxes. I didn’t notice until I got home to look at my receipt but my cashier took the full $4.99 off! So I did get all 4 for FREE!

        • Sharon

I used 3 coupons and they all scanned $4.99 off, so 6 boxes free! 🙂

    • Angela

      thanks for the info

  8. michelle

If you got the p&g samples in the mail a while back a coupon book was included. A bunch of coupons could be used towards this week deals.

1$ off 1 tide stain release
2$ off 1 bounce dryer bar
    2$ off 1 tampax pearl
1$ off 1 herbal essence or aussie

  9. Brittany

    Thank you Collin! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re most welcome! 😀

  10. tatiana

My cvs has dawn dish soap for $.88
plus our $.50 coupon makes them $.38! I can’t wait!

    • sandy

My kids made fun of my 14 bottles under the sink… I may have to pass on this one 😉

      • ericswifeowensmom

funny! I have just as many. My mother in law text me today “out of dish soap”, I got the hint:) It’s not that I’m a crazy dish soap collector but it was just the cheapest way to get the $10 CVS gift card a few months ago. laugh all they want but when they need it they’ll be thanking Momma!

  11. brooke

Thanks great deal on tp to stockpile

  12. Carol_R

Thanks so much Collin for the match-ups!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome! Happy New Year! 😀

  13. BeckyR

    If I buy 6 Pantene ($9.99 x 2 = 19.98) and 1 Bounty for $9.99 = $29.97 will that still trigger the $10 gift card??

    • Tina in East Texas

It should work for you. I have done that before. It appears that as long as you are within 5 cents or so, the gift card deal works.

    • Jaime

I read on iheartcvs.com that as long as you are within 98% of the value you will get the reward… so in this case, if you get to $29.40 you are good to go!

  14. janiceg531

I think there is also a $2 SavingStar rebate if you purchase 2 of the 12 pack Pepsi.

  15. Lori

Are batcodes supposed to be printing on the coupon.com website? None of my coupons print with barcodes. Thanks.

    • mel

are they printing with a long bar code? or no bar code at all?? If they’re printing with a long bar code, then thats the new data bar (which the Nivea q’s in todays insert also look the same) The 12-digit upc code is being phased out.

  16. edy

I went about 4pm got some pantene tag on clearance for 3.14 I figured I try new product used 3dlr of 2 pantene called restore beautiful lenghts looks like a toothpaste bottle I didn’t think about scanning it well I bought different items bought 6 pantene 3.33 each and 4 pcks charmin had 2dlrs of charmin bought a oral b toothbrush and 3 alwayS infinity had only 3 bucks paid 46. And got my gift card and 2 bucks for oral b and 6 bucks for buying head shoulders so it trigger for the pantene that was cleaarance was tagged 3.14 but it was cheaper 1.57 had bought 4 with 3 dlrs cpns used 2cpns paid .28 cents made 6 bucks good deal on something I wasn’t expecting!!!

    • Nicole

is punctuation dead? so hard to read & make sense of comments like this!

      • Greta

I totally agree! And i’m sorry to say but these days that sure seems to be the case!

      • DP

English may be her 2nd language. If so, “posts like these” are understandable and we should show some tolerance.

      • Alicia

Made sense to me. She was trying to be helpful. Not very polite to complain.

      • taty

        rude much

        • Nicole

Yet again, people NEVER cease to complain. New year… grow up a little 🙂

      • Paola

Oh and by the way Nicole, if you are so uptight about grammer why are you not capitalizing the first word in each of your sentences?

      • michelle

I totally agree. I honestly can not understand anything. I have been couponing for 3 years and I can not figure out what she is talking about… Maybe its because I dont understand her abbreviations for things…

And its NOT rude to say that. Nicole is being completely honest. There is NO punctuation in the comment. People need to stop being so touchy!!!

    • Kabby

Thank you Edy for your post…made complete sense to me…thank you for the COUPON tip.

    • Jake

That was as easy to follow as an invisible man in the middle of the night.

    • Yvonne Murray

What does dlr mean? I am new to couponing…. Thanks for any help!!!

    • Yvonne Murray

What does dlr mean? New to couponing…..Thanks in advance for help!!

  17. sahar

isn’t the 1.50 off for the hair care??? its not for the bodywash, also how can you use the 5 dollar off on the swiffer sweeper , that 5 dollar off coupon is for the swiffer vac, correct if i am wrong here???? i am very confused here!!!!!

    • Shayla

I think you are right…the $5 off q is for the more expensive swiffer vacuum (they usually run close to $20). the refill can work though on the featured swiffer starter.

  18. Mitch

    Awesome!
And I saved a Planters coupon from the magic coupon machine so my nutrition tins will end up $2 each, the usual price in NYC, I checked this week, was $8!
    thanks!

  19. Abigail

I can’t find the Nivea coupon on coupons.com. Is it gone??

    • Grace

I have quite a few Nivea coupons, if you would like the $3/2 coupon, you can email me your address and I will get it out to you tomorrow. 🙂

      • Grace

sorry, forgot to mention my email address, it’s i.cooki@ymail.com

      • Abigail

Thanks Grace! What’s your e-mail address?

          • Abigail

Sent you an e-mail. Thanks again 🙂

      • Mat

Do you still have any available? My email: gsnmatt (at) gmail.com

        Thanks!

  20. Ariel

I walked into my store today to get a feel fir where things where and my store did you not have the skinny cow boxes of candy :(( i really wanted them too

    • Ka

They are normally on the bottom shelf of the premium chocolate endcap.

    • Jacqueline

I couldn’t find them in my store, so I asked a worker. They were located kind of randomly by the valentines candy.

  21. Roxanne

The maybelline link coupon isn’t working for me- says it’s no longer available even though I’ve never printed it. Is any one else getting it to work?

  22. Lisa

I can’t find the Nivea lip coupon on Coupons.com. Did you use a specific zip code or is it no longer available?

  23. Heather

Hi I am new to this- but first off THANK YOU Collin you are simply fabulous! And thank you to the rest of you that are so helpful!

In regards to the Free 10 CVS card when you spend $30- does that mean $30 BEFORE coupons or after?

So if my total was let’s say $31 but I had $20 in coupons, would that still qualify or would I have to actually pay $30 to get the CVS card.

    Thanks for your input!

    HH

    • mel

      before coupons!

  24. Melissa

got some deals this mornin! but fyi, in metro detroit area, skinny cows were $4.99. ($1.52 for 2 is still a great deal though!)

    • Stacy

The CVS’ on Nine Mile, near 75 and the one near Hilton scanned mine for $4.99, so might depend on which CVS you go to.

  25. Roncenna

AT CVS they have the BOGO skinny Cows, the cashier keyed in $4.99 without notice that the coupon is only for $3.49. ALso there was another display tag at my CVS that showed Skinny Cow for $4.49 and if you buy 2 you get a dollar back Good from 1/1/2012 til 1/28/2012. When the items were scanned, it didnt give me my 1 reward back. Manager gave it to me because it was on the tag– so I earn $1.00.

    • irene

Thanks for letting us know! It’ll get us closer to free, for those of us who get $3.49 for our Qs.

    • Kathy

Saw this at my CVS today too — 2 different tags on 2 different displays. didn’t even think to ask for the $1 ECB! That’s b/c next to it was a Pantene display that said Spend $15, get $5 ECB –obviously not this week’s deal of 3/$9.99 and the tag had a date for later in January. Wonder if tags got messed up?

  26. Diana

    Just an FYI:
Planters NUTrition $1 printable coupon states ONE COUPON PER TRANSACTION.
My CVS manager pointed out to me this morning when I tried to use it. He still pushed the 2nd one thru, but he said they won’t be accepting it the next time.

    • mel

This coupon will beep b/c it starts with 9. The cashier had a hard time getting it to go through, the manager had to come up to force it in. I had separated the purchase as I noticed the limit on the coupon, but the manager went ahead and said it was OK to ring them together. Who am I to tell him no? Lol. He also took $4.99 off for the skinny cow bogo coupon! What a way to start off the new year!!

  27. Angela D.

I had such a great visit to CVS today. I stocked up on a bunch of items and saved 75% on everything!
Thanks Collin for posting all the great deals! You make couponing so much easier and a lot more fun!

  28. thelostpond

Did some of you not get the Loreal Hair color $5/2 coupons? I didn’t get them. In East Tennessee.

    • April

I thought it was just me …. I didn’t get the Loreal coupons either. I’m in SW FL. : (

  29. Amanda

I was just wondering if the $10 CVS cash rolls? Can I go back and make another $30 purchase, use the $10 and get another one? Thanks for the help!

    • Angela D.

Yes, you can. I just did it this morning. Between the 1st $10 card and my coupons, I saved over $20 on my second transaction.

  30. Laurel

My CVS would not let me use the BOGO coupon for the Skinny Cow BOGO sale. Cashier said I’d have to buy one to get one free. Is there a CVS corporate policy regarding this?

    • mel

This is how it was explained to me and has worked in explaining to a cashier –
When you are purchasing 2 items that are BOGO, 1 is free from the store through the sale. The 2nd one, you -are- paying for it with your coupon b/c coupons are a form of payment.
Now, this BOGO coupon has a max value of $3.48 and the retail price at CVS is $4.99, so you’re going to pay the difference of $1.51
I don’t believe CVS has anything in their policy regarding using a BOGO q with a BOGO sale. I’d say just try again at another store or another cashier.

  31. Johnny

In regards to buying items for example Pantene for 3/$9.99, do you have to buy 3 to get the deal? or will each item ring up at $3.33?

    • Johnny

Also, when you purchase the $30 items to receive the $10 Cash Card, does it have to be all in one transaction? or can it be bought over 2 transactions?

      • Katie

        Johnny,
The 30$ item to receive the 10$ cash card does not have to be in one transaction. I even do it sometimes over a few days in between and I still get it. 🙂

        • Plumaria

How does that work over a two day period? you show your old reciept?

          • mel

all deals track on the bottom of your receipt, so if you’re at $15 and spend another $15, the computer will know you’ve reached $30 and the $10 GC coupon will print on your receipt. Then you give that coupon to the cashier who will load the money card.

  32. edy

I’m sorry, for not using punctuaction. When I’m commenting! For one I don’t use the computer. I use my phone to make comments or for tips!! And yes, I do have a second language! And since, I work for elderly people and take care of a child on a wheelchair. I’am always on the run! But, very proud of my children who are very educated ! And have never complained about my used of the second language. I can speak better than typing it! But I’m taking the time to do this now! But, thanks!! To the ones that compalined!! ThiS makes feel good! Instead of bad!! Well please, check and scan ur cvs cards! There giving care bucks for the fall spending! And some cvs have their christmas marked down to .75% off now! And the reinventying cvs book has cpns! For frutopia shampoo 1.50 of one. And its on clearance for 1.99 and 1.74 have a nice shopping trip!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

    • Rebeca

Hey Edy, thanks for taking the time to type it again and you dont have to apologize. Happy New year for you too! 🙂

    • ericswifeowensmom

Hi, Edy. I do not know you but, wish that I did. I love the attitude you have taken when dealing with these comments. Who cares about grammar, really? When it comes down to it, all we have in this life that matters are the relationships we have created with one another (including the “cyber couponing community”) IMO. I wish more people would take time to help like you have instead of finding a reason to rip others apart from the safety of their own home, shielded behind their laptop. Just saying…..

    • Paola

Hi Edy-I love your spirit! You have nothing to apologize for. As to those who complained, life is not about punctuations!! How dare you complain on a blog that was created to help others. This blog is for women & men from all walks of life. My mother had little education and put me through college and I would forgive her a few punctuation marks. Shame on you Nicole.

    • Diana

Now where is the “Like” button?! Super Like this!!!

    • mirela01

Thank you for the tips! You’re great!

  33. edy

Thanks! Nicole, alicia,Dp, Kabby, Jake! And best wishes to u all! Out of me doing cpns I was able to donate a lot! Of items to the school pantry!! For special children!! So words don’t hurt! Thanks for ur comments!!

    • Jake

Keep donating to those children please! Just promise you’ll never try to teach them grammar.

      • Rebeca

Well Jake, Edy could probably teach them grammar in a foreign language, can you say the same about you? 😉

        • Paola

          Jake really? Grow up!

    • DP

Don’t let the words hurt, Edy. People get brave behind a keyboard. I do not know a second language at all, so I commend you. Happy New Year, friend.

  34. Happy Couponing

    Thank You Collin!
I got the $5 ECB for the Nivea products… 2 of the 2 for $5 Lip and 2 $1.99 Gloss and 1 Soft Creme $0.99 …. it only equaled $9.97 before tax and coupons but they gave it to me. Also, you all may want to check in your area for Sally Hansen, Revlon, etc products that were marked 75% off they may still have some on the shelves. I found out that if you pull the little drawer under the Revlon polishes some of the 75% off stickers were placed there (little hidden secret). Good Luck! Happy New Year!

    • Marcia

so are you saying the drawer has items that are have the stickers on them…. or are you saying you grab and use the stickers as you want 🙂 Just have to make sure I understand thanks

  35. Melony

Paid $1.85 today, got $8 back in ECB’s! Bought 4 boxes of Skinny Cow bars, 1 battery powered toothbrush, 1 Oral B floss, 4 Nivea lip balms, 1 bottle of dawn, and 1 ivory bar multipack. I had a $5 off $25 CVS coupon, $1.50 in ECB’s for the end of quarter thing, and $3.00 ECB’s from another purchase. 🙂 I think I did pretty good 😉

  36. Melinda

My $5 swiffer coupon from this months p&g is for the wet jet, not the one on sale? Am I missing something?

  37. Kathy

Anyone try the Head & Shoulders? My CVS had several with the clearance price of around $3, but when they rang up, they rang up at $5 – this week’s sale price. Would have preferred the $3 and no ECB. 🙁

  38. Michelle

This is my transaction list. Someone tell me if they have a better way to roll ecb

    First
Spend $10 on Participating Nivea Products = $5 Ecb (limit 1)
    Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 4 Nivea Lip Care products $2.50
    Total = $10
Use 2 $3/2 coupons found in the 1/1 RP
(Or use 4 $1/1 coupons found here or here)
    Pay as low as $4
    Get back $5 Ecb

    Second
Crossaction toothbrush 1 ct or brush heads 2 pk $5.99 = $2 Ecb (limit 2)
Use the $3 off coupon found in the 1/1 PG
    Pay $2.99
    Get back $2 Ecb
Final cost $0.99! ( do this x2 in same transaction and use 5$ ecb from first )

Total paid 4.98. have 4 ecb left.
    Third
I’m planning to buy 30 of the 99 cent dawns for total of 29.70 then use 15 of the 1.00 off 2 coupons from P&G + 4$ ecb left for total cost of 11$. Will I still get the 10$ ecb back? (Hope this was all clear to understand)

If so total cost is at 16 bucks with 10$ ecb back in my pocket to roll more dish liquids and Always pads? Pretty new to couponing.

    • Marcia

make sure to read your coupon… not sure if you can use 11 of one coupon on the same transaction? if it states a number, than do a few transactions and your plan should work 🙂

      • Michelle

Yea I plan on a few transactions 🙂

        • Melissa

          that sounds awesome : )

  39. Rachel

LOVING CVS this week. I found $2 off any charmin bathroom tissue 9ct or larger coupon at my local smiths grocery store. I used the coupons on the charmin bathroom tissue and scored a great deal $2.01 for 9ct charmin bathroom tissue is a deal to me. I calculated in $10cvs gift card. Great deals at CVS and thanks Collin for all that you do!!!

  40. Julie

does anyone know if the clearance herbal or pantene would count toward the $30 for the $10 cash card?

    • Melissa

CVS in Binghamton NY are sold out. If they still have it in your store I would try it.

  41. Lily

On my add it has the 2 liter coke 4/$5 but then it has the five cross out and has 99¢ does this means99¢ each or 4/99¢

  42. edy

No! The clearance items like pantene and herbal shampoo doesn’t, count towards the $10 cash cvs card! I did buy 4 pantene clearance it was tagged 3.14 on shelf, I didn’t scan it first and was 1.54 used 2cpns of 3dlrs on 2 and paid .168 cents for 4 and got 6 bucks! Maybe its regional the price was great! The pantene that’s reg.4.99 scan it if its 3.33 each that’s the one for the $10.00 cash card cvs. Enjoy ur day!

    • Julie

great deal! Thanks for answering my question! Have a good one.

    • Melissa

How did you get ^ebc on that? My CVS wont give EBC on clearance items : (]

  43. Courtney

I am looking at a few different deals for the “Spend $30 and get $10 CVS Cash” options and have a few questions. I’m pretty new to couponing and have only done it once at CVS before.

1st – the Patene is on sale for 3/9.99 but the MFR coupons is $3/2. So do we have to buy 3 bottles to get the sale price or can you buy only 2 and still get the sale price per bottle?

2nd – Can you use the $10 CVS Cash card on another transaction that qualifies for another CVS Cash card and still get that card at the end of the transaction?

Thank you so much for your help =)

    • mel

@ CVS, you can buy 2 of the Pantene, they will ring up $3.33 with your card.

2nd, yes, you can roll your $10 cash card from one transaction to another deal. Thats what I’ve been doing since they started offering the gift card deals, rolling each week and keeping my out of pocket low!

  44. edy

Sorry! I paid .16 cents for the pantene! My phone looses signal! When, I’m trying to look up interesting things! Like this site!

  45. KARLA

Today, I went to CVS to purchase (3) Bounty paper towels and (1) Dawn dish detergent to get the $10 gift card. I haven’t had the opportunity to do my coupon clipping in MONTHS, but I did have the $5 off of $25 coupon. There was a lady in front of me who had completed several transactions using coupons. She had her binder, so I complimented her by saying how proud I was for her using all her organized coupons (I didn’t know her but I never meet a stranger). She told me how much it helped her since she had children at home. She saw what I was purchasing and told me she had coupons for everything I was purchasing. She handed over 4 coupons saying there was no way she would be able to use them before they expire. She made my day, I left CVS with (3) 12 pks of Bounty paper towels and (1) dawn detergent paying $17 out of pocket (after $5 coupon, the manuf q’s, and $9 in CVS quarter earnings) plus I still have a $10 gift card for my next visit. I appreciate a fellow couponer helping out another couponer who has struggled finding time to get back into clipping coupons.

    • Rebeca

That was so sweet! Did you tell her about Hip 2 save? Probably she is a fellow hipsters! 🙂

  46. leticia

Are the Nivea coupons in the RP regional?

    • Serena

Yes they are. I didn’t get them, and I didn’ them last time they had them in RP.

  47. Lina

The WASA crackers were $2.19 at CVS. I used $1.50 off coupons from (coupons.com) which makes it $1.44 each which is great.

  48. Nancy

I went to go buy the Covergirl eyeshadow to take advantage of the CVS cash and they were not $3.49. They were $3.99 and $1.99 with the half off. It totally threw my game plan off. I figured the prices were different in different areas.

    • Rebeca

Try the bronzers, they look awesome and they are slightly cheaper.

  49. Amy

Is anyone else having a problem printing the Special K coupon? It is on the screen but when I log in, it is no longer there. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

  50. edy

I don’t know why? I got 6 bucks back, because I got the pantene pink bottles and gold bottles that are on clearanc, tagged 3.14 on shelf reg.6.99 and there scanning. 1.57each and I used the 3dlrs cpn off 2 bottles. I figure I get them for .14 cents for 2, but the back bucks that i got it says thank you for buying head and shoulders(but, I didn’t buy that) I told several customers and friends and they bought some too and got bucks back too! It may be a computer mistake!
