Walgreens: Lots of Clearance (Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Libby’s Pumpkin Puree + More!)
Walgreens seems to have lots of clearance bargains available currently. I’ve received a few emails regarding various products on clearance, so I thought I’d do a post highlighting some these items. Now please note that clearance products and prices do vary from store to store, so you may not be able to find the same deals at your local Walgreens. Also, make sure to price check items if they are not marked.

I just came back from Walgreens, their Libby’s pumpkin puree rings up 0.49 which is down from $1.99. You can make pumpkin pie, pumpkin waffles or cookies. I also got Clabber girl baking powder 4oz for 0.24. Lot of other baking items on clearance ringing up much lower then priced. I can attach receipt.

Ooo! I might have to go get some pumpkin puree. If you mix one can with a devil’s food box cake mix, it makes really delicious and easy cupcakes!
Yes, I do that all the time! Also another low fat treat (although not as healthy) is one can of lemon pie filling with one box of angel food mix. Just mix those two ingredients and pour in greased bottom only 9 x 11 pan and put in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle some powered sugar on them while still warm while cooling down.
I do this with crushed pineapple, soooooo yummy!

Sounds good, but do you follow the regular directions for the food cake mix and then add the pumpin puree? Sorry, if this is a dumb question but as u can see I’m not much of a baker.

I make ravioli with pumpkin sauce….very yummy! That is a great price….I just bought some at Walmart on clearence for $1.00.
My local Giant Food store had these and other shampoos and conditioners on clearance too. I think these companies must not be making these types anymore. Their lose is our gain!!!

My Walgreen’s had Garnier shampoo on clearance for $1.29 (normally $4.99) – didn’t have coupons with me but used RR and got them for 29cents each. Awesome!!
Yesterday at my Wags in CO, Christmas candy was 75% off. They still had a pretty good selection. Fragrance and bath gift sets and lots of toys were 50% off. I didn’t check the hair care products. I’m going to have to go back…

Yes they are. The French’s French fried onions (reg 2.8 oz size) were $1.04 I believe? Lost my receipt from couple days ago. I think it would have been 1.49? Should have bought more than one because exp date is June 2013 on ones I found. I haven’t bought them in a few years so don’t know if that is a great price or not. I love those red plastic containers they are in now though. ; )
got 2 bottles of loreal vive conditioner, was priced at 1.29 on clearance, used 2 coupons from the walgreens couponbook ($2 off 1) and total cost .18 …not too shabby for 9.98 worth of product 🙂
I found L’oreal Paris face makeup on clearance from $3.49 to $7.49. I used the $3/1 coupon from the 1/1 pg (since Riteaid wouldn’t let me use them on the eyeshadow) and the $2/1 from the Walgreens January coupon book to get 4 things for free!!
Check for clearanced L’oreal conditioners and styling products marked at $1.29. With the $2 off coupon in the coupon book, they are free! Coupon automatically adjusts down and you only need one coupon for however many products you find. So easy! Even the cashiers were amazed! We got enough free conditioner and hair products ( hairspray, gel, styling spray) for quite some time.
I will definitely be hitting up Walgreens after work!

I didn’t realize until after I did this that it’s producing a $1 Register Reward when you buy 1, so I should have done separate transactions. If your store has these, pay $.19 after coupon and get back $1 for an $.89 money maker!

Also, look for the tide mountain spring scent, I think it is? It has a green label and cap. These were marked on clearance last week and I got a bottle with the 2.00 q. And I checked again this week and found 1 more bottle and used a 2.00 q from last sunday’s paper. I get a discount for working at the local hosp, so with my discount and the coupon, I got them for 2.67 each. They were marked 4.99. Oh, and the one I got today wasn’t marked, so I did a price check and it was still the clearance price. The cool thing about this is I needed laundry soap and was going to have to pay regular price – the coupon. I usually like to get my soap for 2.00 or less, but I will pay a little more for Tide or gain. (the scent smells like guys body wash, but fabric softener covers it up 😉

Ive checked 3 stores here in Des Moines IA and no shampoo product that cheap! The lowest price was 4.som! But did just score yams and turkey gravy for .30 a piece.

Me too! On a side note I went to the Pitt, CA Wags and they had no clearace shampoo. 🙁 also the did the liquid Tylenol deal and it gave me a $5 rr and a free poise product but no free breathe right strips 🙁 oh well I did get some good Christmas Clearance deals on some Disney stuff. 🙂
You might want to check out the Colgate Whitestrips at walgreens as I was able to get it on sale for $7.99 and after the coupon from 1/1 P&G insert it became $.99. There is also a store coupon available which could make it free with an overage.
I’m in So Cal and it always seems that all the stores around here barely have any stuff on clearance because stuff are always sold and none left over. With about 5 Wags near me, none of the shampoos are on clearance. But did get a gingerbread house kit for $2.49.
Where are you in So Cal? I found a lot of clearance lately. CVS in my area is tough. The stores by me know me and give me the scoop.

Dunkin donuts coffee the mochamint and the pumpkin spice 11oz bags are ringing up for 2.29 at my walgreens, minus the 75cent coupon makes them a yummy deal!!
I bought one because they were marked 50% off but rang uo 9.79. I told the cashier it was 50% off and she keyed it in. Bummer. Probably should’ve been 75% off.
the loreal studio hair products were on clearance for $1.29 at my local walgreens and with the $2 off in the january book made products free !! You must by two at a time though because the coupon took off $2.58 not sure how but i cleared the shelf !!!
Alysia, you do not need to buy 2 at a time. It took off $2.58 because you bought 2 items. The coupon automatically adjusts down and then is multiplied by the number of clearance L’Oreal items you purchased at $1.29.
You don’t need to clear the shelf, either.

My Walgreens had the biosilk trio (shampoo, conditioner , silk therapy) normally $30.00 on clearance for $7.00!!!
Does anybody know if you have to buy 2 of the clearanced Head and Shoulder shampoos to get the $2 RR? Or could you just buy 1? Thanks in advance!

I bought the got2be guardian angel blow-out lotion the other day and tried it. I really like it. It made my hair very soft and shiny. I think it was $1.69 at my store and I did receive the $2.00 RR. What a great deal!!
really hoping they have some of the hair products on sale at my Wags!! need some. last week at CVS was a no-go. nothing ringing up on clearance… 🙁
Went to our local Walgreen’s and found the pumkpin was 80¢ a can rather than the 49¢, so I only got 2. But found the baking powder listed at 24¢ as mentioned, plus Campbell’s Chicken Gravy for 39¢ a can. I spent $3.73, including tax, and the receipt said that my savings were $8.32.
Went to my Walgreens in Aurora, Co and the pumkin is still ringing up for $2.29 a can!
Old Spice Body Spray is on clearance for $2.59…use the $2/1 coupon. Bottom line .59 cents! Hello 2012 stocking stuffers! Clearisil face wash is also ringing up $2.99…use the $2 off in ad coupon. It’s the best deal around for .99 cents!! Going back tomorrow….and checking out this other stuff. Ohh Covergirl lip gloss on clearance for $2.29…use the $1/1. Our WG is remodeling next month and they are clearing out a lot of make-up. (Too bad it is on my no buy list!!! 🙂 )
Yesterday at my WAGS in So Cal I got holiday skittle bags 75% off, I still had $1 off from Target site. I got 9 bags for 66 cents. WOOHOO! Also they had the Got 2B Plumping non aerosole spray for 1.79 and I received the $2RR, they didn’t have guardian angel on clearance.

If you find the pumpkin another easy thing to do is add one can of pumpkin to a dry cake mix any flavore mix and put in muffin cups bake at 350° for about 20 min or untill cooked all the way… You can frost or leave plain my kids love them both ways:-)
I found the pumpkin kits for $1.49 – .50 coupon making them .99. Also found lots of candy 75% off — Godiva Gems for $1.19 and the $1.00 in the January coupon booklet works on it as well as a manufacturer’s coupon, Lifesavers storybooks for .74 and with $1.50 off coupon they are free, and many others
I got covergirl lipgloss on clearance $1.59 and also got BOGO 50% off second one was $.79 and used $2.50/2 from 1/1 PG no beeps and got overage with no problem (I was surprised register didn’t beep). Glad I had other items to cover overage.
I found covergirl lip gloss that was 2.29 and with BOGO 50% i used the 2.50/2 and paid 1.14 for both lip glosses that would normally cost 8.99 each.
Lots of make-up on clearance and the above mentioned items…as well as Nystle Tollhouse Morsels. I had to pass up everything as I am dieting and can not have it in my home…I would eat the entire bag or choc chips about now…rrrrrr
I was able to get some Axe shampoos for $1.79 PLUS, buy one get one 50% off. So, 2/$2.70. Also bought 2 John Freida Root Awakening shampoos for under $2 each. I seen the Nexxus conditioners were on Clearance for under $5 each (regular $17.99) but I didn’t get any of those.
Wish they had some Head and Shoulders so I could’ve used my coupons! And too bad they only had 1 Pantene left so I couldn’t use my coupon on that either, but I still grabbed it bc it was a good deal! 🙂
My WAGS is located in Bryan, OH.
Our WAGS (at least 2 of them out of the 4 by me) only had Pantene products BOGO 50% off, so not a good deal……..I wish they had that clearance price! Why do some do, and others don’t?

I found the Pantene on sale but upon taking to register, it rang up full price of 4.99. I asked them to check on it. The clerk did remember seeing one in that spot and I showed her where the other one was …in the sale price spot. SHe checked with the mgr and they gave them to me at the sale price of 1.29 each. I had 4 so I could use the 2 coupons so they were free!! I thanked them! Also found the covergirl gloss. Had 2 coupons, but only 4 were left. 3 were on clearance so not too bad. Thanks for the heads up.
