I would suggest checking the list below and also heading on over to Sunday Coupon Preview to get an idea of what coupons you may receive. Please keep in mind that NOT all areas will get the same coupons or coupon values.

There will be four coupon inserts in the 1/8/2012 Sunday newspaper. You should receive two SmartSource coupon inserts, one Red Plum coupon insert and one General Mills coupon insert. And some regions may receive a McDonald’s insert with $23 in coupon savings…

Something funny happened to me today… I was at a bakery near my house and I saw a stack of papers that were to be recycled and I saw some coupons in the stack- so I asked the lady who worked there if I could have them.. I thought they were last weeks coupons, but when I got home they were TOMORROWS!!?? How could they already have them and be recyling them????
I was sort of confused, but very happy….

Sunday newspapers are sent to stores as bundles of inserts and bundles of cover sections. Sometimes the numbers don’t match to form complete newspapers. In this case the store received more inserts than covers and were discarding the extra inserts because they couldn’t sell them as a whole newspaper.

Of course we hip couponers know they could have chosen to double stuff the inserts on a few instead. 😉

  2. stacia

I hate how inserts vary so much. sigh
Today I bought our local paper that had 2 SmartSource and 1 Redplum. It had some good coupons, but not all.
On Sunday I will buy the St Louis paper and it will (well, should) have all 4 inserts. My local paper never has the General Mills ones. Also, my Suave deodorant coupons were 50 cents, not 75 cents off like I’ve read on sites.
    Ok, I’m done whining. LOL

    • Anne

Same thing here….my small local does not have as many inserts as the Denver paper. I stopped buying the local! Oh, and I never have the prices at Walmart that are in the pictures from people. I have come to realize just how much I pay everyday to have a view of the Rockies! LOL!

      • debra

Same here on Cape Cod. We pay sometimes twice what the average is. They call it the bridge tax. I just recently moved here from North Carolina and was in shock when I saw the price of a box of cheez its was $4.89!! On a good note I LOVE the Walgreens! There are only 2 on the Cape and I live by one. They are soooo coupon friendly. The girl even encourages you to split your transactions to get the RR’s!

        • Amy

Hello Debra, I also live here on Cape Cod. It sounds like you shop at the Walgreens in Mashpee. What a great group of people that work there, everyone is friendly and extremely helpful. Oh, by the way, I also moved from North Carolina 11 years ago. Have a great day!

    • Pamela

Stacia, those 50 cent/75 cent differences are what are called regional values. I also live in an area that will have lower values so I buy batches of those higher value single coupons that I want on ebay. One of my favorite searches is “75 coupons” because I love them getting doubled to $1.50. I love browsing what’s available.

  3. Kristy and Mary

Thanks for linking to 4our2cents, Hip2save! Glad the McD’s pic was helpful!

    • Kristy and Mary

By the way, the McDonald’s coupons were found in The Bag in Columbus, Ohio. How it is delivered may vary from region to region.

      • Sarah

I grew up in Columbus, OH and I never realized how awesome “The Bag” was until I went to college in another state (and started couponing). I don’t get nearly as many coupon inserts (or for free!) as what “the Bag” gives you!!! 🙁

      • Nicole

I live in Columbus, OH. I look forward to “The Bag” every week! My neighbors who find The Bag annoying drop them on my driveway for me!

        • DeAnna Walker-Arrington

I’m in Toledo, Oh but have friends & family in Columbus, what’s “The Bag”? When is it delivered, is it a part of your Sunday paper? Thanks for your help

          • bugsmombubtoo

Hey DeAnna, Just wanted to say Hi to a fellow toledian…:) I moved south when I was able to..but still…too cool

      • porsche

Hey I am up from Texas staying in Galion with family and i bought the Columbus paper and I only got 1 Ss 1 RP and I couldn’t find the micky d’s insert. Did yall get the same?

        • Mary@4our2cents

TheBag is usually delivered on Saturdays (at least in my part of Cbus). Inside are usually ads from Kroger, Menards, Meijer and sometimes fast food/restaurant coupons. Like this weekend we got the McD’s insert. I have heard of some places actually getting coupon inserts in their “bag”, my area mainly just gets ads. (Nicole- do you get inserts in yours?)

Porsche- again inserts can be “regional” even within what seems to be the same region. Sometimes my SIL on the east side of town gets the Target inserts and I do not get them on the North side of town. You at least should have received the 2 SS, 1 RP and a General Mills. It can also depend on how good the delivery person is! Might not hurt to call the Dispatch and report that you have missing inserts. They won’t give you the missing ones, but at least you can go on record. Also, if you bought them at a store, unfortunately coupon thieves ruin it for those of us just trying to save!

          HTH!

          • Jenn M.

I live in Columbus and get the coupon inserts in The Bag every week! But I didn’t get the McDonald coupons this week.

            • Mary

Thanks for the 411 Jenn, so do you get all your inserts in “the bag”, or do some come in the Sunday paper too? Interesting how inserts can be so different even in one city!

          • toma

I bought an Atlanta paper and a Nashville paper and no McDonald coupons.

  4. karin

I bought 3 chicago tribs today at dollar tree for the coupon inserts and not one had the walgreens or cvs ads. Does any one know if this is an issue with the dollar tree papers or just an issue with subscription papers vs non subscription papers?

    • Lily

We don’t have Dollar Tree stores in my area and not an exact answer to your question, but I signed up to receive emails from Walgreens and they email me a “sneak peak” email each Friday that has a link to their upcoming sales flyer. Don’t know if CVS does the same thing…

      • Renee

CVS OFFER THE SAME AS WALGREENS A SNEAK PEEK….U HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR IT ON THERE WEBSITE.

    • kathy

I live in the western burbs and bought my papers at Menard’s today. We never have the Wags or CVS ads in the Menard’s papers. Once I bought the paper at Wags and it actually had the Wag’s ad in it. HTH

    • AG

Okay, I don’t live in Chicago but your paper might have a similar policy as mine. I didn’t get the P&G last week and I very seldom get Walgreens or CVS ads. Last week I called the paper and was told it’s not their responsibilty to put inserts in every paper! The only ones they guarantee will have ads and coupons are the ones set aside for home delivery. She actually said that if I continue to buy them in the store, I need to stand there and flip through it before I buy it, otherwise, I’ll be wasting my money. How’s that for customer service?!?

    • Cherry

One time I bought my paper in Menards, it had CVS and Wags inserts but I don’t know if they changed their policy. By the way, did you get the Target insert which has Johnson & Johnson’s coupons in it? Thanks!

      • Deb

I’m in W. Michigan. Got my Target insert in the Grand Rapids Press today. Lots of nice coupons to match with the other inserts. The Target insert even suggested it!

  5. Vanessa Granados

i got my al dia paper and got 6 inserts, a redplum, a walmart huggies insert, a general mills insert, 2smart sources, and a smart source insert in spanish!

  6. Bridget

Here in Philly, I got 2 smart source and a johnson and johnson insert filled with Target coupons :). I got the RP earlier in the week in the midweek paper.

  7. Karen

Don’t forget to check all newspapers at your local store, like the New York Times. I have found that they too have alot of coupons as well and sometimes the value of there coupons are worth more than the ones that we get in our local area!

  8. Rebecca

Can wnyone tell me if the Kettle chips coupon is just for 4 oz or 4oz and larger….wanna know for CVS planning for next week…need the 8 oz bag to qualify!

  9. mary

I’m so excited for 6 inserts this week, I hope I get them here in Jacksonville FL..that would be nice

  10. tatiana

I got 2 SS 1 rp a johson & johnson target coupons and 1 walmart insert I wish I had the general mills!

  11. tambry

Try creme of wheat with a little sharp cheese and crumbled crisp bacon!

  12. Tina

I’m so upset!! I only got 1 redplum in my newspaper?!! I went to 7eleven to buy the Record @ 7am! I bought 6 bundles and opened them all and found it didn’t contain the 6 inserts it was suppose to! ANyone have the 6 inserts I can buy from you? I’ll pay for shipping too. IF you are willing to help me buy the newspapers and just send me the coupon inserts I’ll pay you for the newspaper and shipping. So upset that I didn’t get anything except the redplum. Please email me at xxhawaiixgirlxx@gmail.com
    Thanks!

    • Brandi

Sundaycouponinserts.com is a GREAT SITE!! They have everything except the Walmart & The Target is Sold out.
      I would check there 🙂

      • Irene

Brandi, did you ever get fake coupons from that site?

      • bugsmombubtoo

Thanks for the heads up on this site Brandi, I checked it out and I think I’m definately going to use it!!

        • Brandi

Your welcome 🙂 I have never gotten fake coupons from them. They are the whole coupon inserts. My mom and I order them every Saturday night.

    • Sammy

Are you in Stockton? I get the paper at Winco and they usually have the inserts.

  13. Lindsay

Thank you Collin! I get the Washington Post so this helps a lot…I hate that its very pricey though, that’s what happens when you live in the DC metro area lol 🙁

    • Carol_R

I buy extra copies of it at Rite Aid. I have the 20% discount since I got over 1000 points so it makes it $1.60 per copy rather than $2.

  14. Brandi

Does anyone know a good site to order coupons from? I really want to get a couple of the Walmart inserts. I bought all 3 of my local papers and none were in either.

    • H Burger

Brandi Are you talking about the Walmart insert with diaper coupons? If yes email me justcouponing527@aol.com!

      • AG

Can you tell me what coupons are in the Walmart insert? I’m sure it won’t be in our crappy local paper and I want to know if I should be jealous of you guys 🙂 lol

        • H Burger

$2 off Huggies Snug & Dry, pull ups & Goodnites underwear
$3 off Huggies liitle movers slip on

          • AG

Thanks for the reply…I’m not overly jealous now. I swore I’d never buy the slip ons again!

            • shoppingqueen007

I agree! I bought two packages of the slip ons at Target when they had a good deal and I had coupons, but I ended up taking one of them back after suffering through the first package. Those diapers are NOT easier to put on a squirmy baby, but that’s just my opinion.

            • AG

Shoopingqueen007, I don’t see a reply button below your comment but I wanted to say, I soooo feel you on that. That was the worst diaper experience EVER! Mine is very squirmy and those diapers were nearly impossible. I ended up undoing the velcro sides and using them like regular diapers. I even had to promise the babysitter and church nursery workers that I would never buy them again. My Kroger had some on clearance and with my 3.00/1 q, they would have been a little over a dollar and I left them on the shelf. Broke my little couponing heart but I couldn’t deal with them ever again!

    • Pamela

I buy from sundaycouponinserts.com but they have a Target insert available, not a Walmart.

  15. Jenna M.

There is also a regional target coupon insert that i received with a TON of coupons but there only good til the 14th.

  16. AJ

There were only one RP and one SS in our paper. Totally stinks! Did not get the McDonald’s coupons, never any in the Parade and our prices here never seem to be what is posted either. Totally stinks!

    • bugsmombubtoo

Same here, I live in SC, and my only had the one RP and one SS…kind of bummed, I was really hoping to have all of them..OH well..

      • kp

I’m in SC also and got everything but the McD coupons, upstate SC.

  17. Marie

Got the smartsource inserts, redplum, gen. mills and no mcd’s but did get a tim hortons instead. Live in the Columbus, Oh area.

    • Mary@4our2cents

Marie- DO you get “TheBag”. That is where I found the McD’s insert. FYI

      • Elizabeth

Would you happen to know who I might contact in regards to The Bag in Canal Winchester? We used to get it but havent for almost 2 months.

    • Alla

Marie, I got the same inserts in Buffalo, NY. Two SS, one RP, one GM and Tim Hortons, and Smokey Bones bar and grill coupons with few peep boys coupons. I am excited for the Tim Hortons though since I go there frequently. No Target or walmart coupons in my newspapers.

      • Marie

Just got my bag this afternoon and I did get the mcd’s insert in it. I always look for it and use the ads every week. But I have neighbors on both sides of me that let them just lay out there week after week. Bet they wouldn’t if they knew they had coupons in it.

        • Christina

you should ask them if you can have them. Get past the fearm of asking. They may even get the sunday paper and let you have the Q’s. I wish we hadnt moved becuase I asked my neighbors and every week they gave them to me. Also walking by on garbage night, I could see other neighbors had them on recycle bin, I asked them to and they all saved them. Wish my neighbors here would get the paper, haha only two do and I dont really know them yet to ask. Now I have to buy a couple papers, lol

      • Christina

I am in the same area, but s lot of times the home delivery is missing them, got one SS, one GM and one RP, Tim hortons and the walmart with the diapers again. I seriosly wonder why we RARELY ever have Target Q’s. In the past year, only one full 2pager and one insert with 3 target Q’s. I often order those target on ebay, people in florida seem to get them a lot.

  18. Alyssa

one insert in my paper in CNY. A crappy redplum insert.. nothing else..boo.. hoping some other readers got some good inserts unlike my paper!!

  19. guest24

Houston only had (2) SS, 1-RP, a General Mills, and the WMart diaper sheet. That’s it. Fooey.

  20. Nana Kat

SE Michigan (detroit burbs) WE didn’t receive all the inserts either. Only Two SS one RP and one general mills. I bought my first paper at 6am. went to dollar tree and that paper has the same. Wish I had gotten them all, but glad to have what I did get.

  21. Brandi

If there is anyone that doesn’t want there Walmart Diaper Sheet could you please respond to this post 🙂 Thanks!

    • Brandi

I am willing to trade the target for the Walmart diaper coupons if it helps 🙂

    • Julie

Have an extra Wal Mart, would love a Target

  22. Michelle

We have coupon theives in Northern California 🙁 Such a bummer!

  23. Cherry

I live in Chicagoland, did anyone get the Taget insert (I think it’s the Johnson & Johnson’s one)? Thanks! it,s just important to me because I have two babies.

    • sobia

yes i m in chicago and got the target insert

  24. Gongu

Other than eBay where else can I buy coupons ?

    • Shanna

I use “our coupon clipping service”. They are good and fast!

      • Brandi

Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered some of the walmart coupons from there. Have you ever had a problem with them? How longs does it take to get the coupons from the site?

  25. brooke

I have lots of coupons from this week and last week anyone wanna trade for.mcdonalds or walmart with the huggies coupon email me rockoutrockstar@gmail.com

  26. sandra

I got them all except the mcdonalds one in boston.

  27. Hilary

For the first time in 14 months, our paper has SS inserts in it! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! : )

  28. Brandie

I am in the Memphis area and not a single coupon was to be found in my paper. 🙁

  29. Autumn

In my area of Florida I did not receive the general mills coupon in the tampa tribune.

  30. Brandi

Did anyone from Michigan get the Walmart Insert?

    • Joanna

Nope – I only got 2 SS, 1 GM, and 1 RP – No walmart or target in Ann Arbor Mi.

      • Shannon

        No Walmart in GRand Rapids:(

        • Julie

Got a WalMart in Detroit suburbs.. Only came in paper delivered to house, not in ones I bought at the store

  31. Stephanie

AJC in Atlanta only received one RP, 2 SS and Walmart. Did not receive McDonalds or Target 🙁

  32. Kris

  33. Nidia Clarke

I got the two Smart Source inserts and Red Plum. No General Mills here 🙁 – Tallahassee, FL

Oh and for some reason I got 4 Walmart inserts, does anyone need them? Email me @ nidiamazing@yahoo.com 🙂

  34. Irene

only got 2 SS in south Jersey

  35. cdawnt

I’m in Oxford, MS and all I got were 2 Smart Sources. The prices in our stores are never the prices posted either they are a lot higher. Being in a college town all our prices are higher. I’ll get so excited and go to WM and the prices are higher and end up being a wasted trip. I thought P&G always put their booklet out the first weekend of every month, did I miss out on it too?

    • AG

P&G was last weekend. Don’t feel bad…my paper didn’t have it either. Oh, and my Walmart prices are always higher than the ones posted, too.

  36. ginger

no McD’s coupons here in ATL 🙁

    • Adepeju Adefi

did you get the AJC? and if so, which coupon inserts did you get because I only got the GM and RP and nothing else.

      • toma

I couldn’t believe it wasn’t in the AJC. When I didn’t get it in the Nashville paper, I drove to another store that had the Atlanta paper and was very disappointed! ;(

      • kim

I have the AJC delivered and only got 1 SS, 1 RP, 1 GM, and the Walmart insert. Friends that buy the AJC said they got 2 SS plus the others. Don’t understand why the home version only got 1 SS.

  37. Inga

What page is the McDonald’s insert in the parade mag?

    • Mary@4our2cents

McD’s is not from the parade mag. We receive something here in Columbus (OH) called “TheBag”. It has grocery and store ads as well as sometimes coupons. The McD’s insert was in “the Bag”. HTH!

  38. cdawnt

My Parade did not have a single coupon in it.

  39. Shanna

OMG! The stores out in Richmond, VA are having so many 10/10 sales! The coupons from last week and this week are making for excellent deals. I am stocking up on soup for .75, pudding for .75 and hamburger helper for .70 and I finally get to use my nasbico buy2 get 1 free!! I just cleared out space in my cabinets from a shopping trip yesterday, hope after this one everything can fit!

  40. ms. save a lot

HI, did any one who gets the ny daily? If so what coupons did you get?

  41. Kathy

I live in Pocatello Idaho and only got a RedPlum. Anyone else in my area have the same issue?
Anyone from Boise-What inserts did you get? A friend of mine is leaving Boise today and headed this way, thinking of having them pick me up a few newspapers but want to make sure they have more than just the RedPlum.
    Any help would be awesome…thanks!

  42. Pamela

    About the Mc D’s coupons:

My local Mc D receives boxes of those inserts and often brings them in to my workplace(a supermarket in the same plaza) and we put them on our service desk. They have so many they can’t get rid of them. So it wouldn’t hurt to ask your local Mc D’s if they have them. They also get included in our local town free newspaper.

  43. Sammy

Got all except for the McD’s in Southern CA

  44. Karen

This is a shot in the dark – if anyone received the McDonalds insert and won’t be using it, do you want to send one my way?

    patriotsgirl4life at yahoo dot com

  45. Jennifer

I didn’t get the McD’s coupons but i got a walmart, target and publix coupon inserts. Sweet.

  46. joanna

somebody just stole my sunday newspaper =(

  47. Edie

I live in Oregon, get a local Washington paper (we’re about a 20 minute drive from WA), and there were 2 SS, 1 RP, no GM, which I could actually use, but OF COURSE there was the Walmart page with the baby coupons on it!!

Getting pretty tired of ALWAYS getting every single freakin’ baby coupon, but not the ones I actually want/need. I bet if I decided to pop a kid out I’d stop getting all the baby coupons…

    • AG

That’s how it works! As soon as mine got off of formula, I started getting high value catalina coupons for formula every time I went to the store. NEVER got them when we actually could use them.

  48. Tina

IF anyone has 6 inserts in their area and is willing to buy it for me I’d definitely pay for it and the shipping! Thanks!! please email me at xxhawaiixgirlxx@gmail.com

    Thanks!!

  49. maggie

Sanjose mercury news had just two Smart source inserts and one redplum:(so bad.I wanted the Target one…
