this is off topic but i saw this on yahoo news about illegal couponing what struck me by surprise was:

Taking multiple coupons. You know those stick-on coupons you can pull off a product before you buy to use when you buy it? You’re not supposed to steal them off every product on the shelves. The same goes for those of you who hit the back button to force a limited Coupon.com coupon to print twice. When you take more than your fair share of a limited coupon, you’re denying the next shopper their fair share.
I actually spoke to someone from the coupon network once who told me that hitting the back button and printing an additional coupon is fine – that it is set up to allow two prints per computer as a safeguard for printer failure, user error, etc. It is not taking a coupon away from another person. You are ALLOWED two prints per computer, according to the lady I spoke to.
yeah- It always reappears in the coupon options if you print just once. After two, it goes away. The back button is the quickest way to get your two.
We ARE allowed two prints per computer, why must people assume we are being fraudulent FIRST! I don’t steal stick on coupons, that’s plain common sense, nobody needs to tell me not to do that.

You’re allowed to print (2) copies of coupons from bricks, coupons.com, etc. That’s why, if you try to print a third copy, it denies you. The coupons are set up so that you can have 2 of them. If you go to coupons.com and print out a coupon for cereal on Monday, you can go back on Tuesday and print out that same coupon for cereal (assuming it hasn’t been taken off the site, of course), but you can’t go Wednesday and get a third copy. The programming is set up so you can have 2 coupons.
Don’t lecture me about what is ethical in couponing and what isn’t. I’m an ethical couponer.
If you are referring to the poster am when you talk about lecturing you about what is ethical couponing, I think she is just quoting the article she read. She just didn’t use quotation marks to cleary show. She is just asking if it is.
It’s always been considered good etiquette, as far back as I can remember (I’ve been couponing/deal seeking about 4 years) on the “ethical” couponing blogs that I read not to take peelies unless you’re buying the product. Some people suggest that it’s okay to take 1-2 if you’ll definitely use them. I don’t think anyone on Hip2Save has ever suggested a large scale peelie raid.
Blinkies, tearpads and coupon books are another story in that you don’t have to be buying the product during that shopping trip, but again I’ve always seen the suggestion to be to take only a reasonable amount of those as well and leave some for others.
My personal opinion regarding Coupon.com is that they already have limiting software in place so if they wanted to reduce the limit to 1 print per computer they could – instead they allow two.
The 100 color pallete is on price cut for $5! Way more colors for just a little more.

You always get free shipping with a Target debit or credit card. Otherwise you have to spend $50.

True…but they’ve been offering (and I really hope they continue to do so) Target RedCard holders no-minimum free shipping so it may be worth it to cardholders to spend a couple minutes browsing around.
Personally, I elected to get the “naturals” version of the 32 piece set for a few cents more ($2.50 before discounts), as there are about 14 colors in the standard set that I’m unlikely to use.

Is elf a pretty good makeup. I know people say you get what you pay for, but I really want an honest opinion and not just because it’s cheap lol. (If that is anyone’s reason, that’s fine I just wanted to know)
I’ve bought elf before. I didn’t like their facial powder. It’s pretty hard to screw up eyesbhadow. You either like the colors or you don’t. I have bought their lipsticks and liked them. I figure as long as I like 5 colors of the eye shadow, I’m good to go.
I bought an ELF palette last time Collin posted a good deal (it was $1). I really like the colors of the palette I have. It is a pretty sheer eye shadow, and I wouldn’t say it lasts all day without wearing off a bit, but nicer than some of the really cheap sets I’ve seen at the drugstores.
I’ve read good reviews on it, I ordered the 100 palette set a few weeks ago like this and the colors are pretty to me. I don’t wear make-up but I have 3 daughters and 3 nieces so I got it just in case. I also read use a base it shows up better and last longer.

After the 10% off mine came to $2.13 plus .52 tax for a total of $2.65. Maybe your total of $2.57 includes tax???
I just realized something, mine had .52 cents tax added, that is really high!! Our tax is 7% which should’ve only been about .16 cents. Wonder what Target is basing my tax amount on??
Target.com’s tax estimate is always high during the checkout process. I know it doesn’t include coupon codes and percentage off discounts (and it may even be based on the original price of the item). When they actually ship your order and charge your debit/credit card it will calculate the tax rates correctly and you’ll be billed a lower amount.
[This actually worked in my favor when they had the $5 off apparel coupon because it allowed me to have a non-zero total when buying a $5 shirt so my order was processed but no actual charges went through.]
Looks like they charge tax on the shipping, then take off the shipping, but not the tax. Booooo.

Target’s estimate tax when you ordering is include shipping. However, When they ship your item, Tax is charged on the final price of the product and not the shipping.
You can see the difference if you compare order confirmation price and shipping confirmation price.

I think it depends on how well you know her and her personality. I would give eye shadow to my mom, sister, niece, friend or maybe a teenage babysitter but, personally, I’d feel strange giving it to someone I’d only met a handful of times in a professional capacity, especially given that this is a cheaper brand and she may have sensitivities or a strong preference for her usual brand/color. The exception might be if she acted casually towards parents, was a little younger and seemed kind of hip, funky, experimental in her dress/hair/makeup. Just my opinion though, and I tend to over-think things 🙂
Got 5 for $11.85. Will save most for “adopt-a-family” and other programs at Christmas. Most organizations have a hard time getting doantionas for teenagers. Love using my saving skills to help others.

I’ve already started buying for my daughter’s birthday (in July) and for Christmas 2012.
I did the same thing last year for Christmas 2011 and my daughter ended up high quality, educational, imaginative toys (including wooden puzzles, a set of wooden unit blocks and Little Tikes sports equipment) that would have retailed for about $400 and I spent less than $150, spread out over 12 months. I stopped feeling silly when I saw a news promo about the Christmas spending hangover and they flashed a credit card bill with a total of $12,000…
i got 5. i got this before christmas when it was like $5 shipped and it is a great pallette. just don’t ever drop it, like did mine, because they will all shatter. the colors are good and stay on, esp. if you get the elf eyeshadow primer which is like $3 or something.

To anyone who is wondering about ELF cosmetics – I would say that these palettes are pretty good. I order from ELF frequently and their items can be hit or miss. The majority of the eyeshadows in the palette for this particular sale are pretty nice, but some can be kind of sheer and chalky. I personally think $2 is a great deal for it. 🙂
