Godiva Rewards: FREE Godiva Strawberry Truffle?!

Godiva club members need to look out for the Valentine’s day themed Godiva catalog in their mailbox (front cover has a pink theme)! There is a very inconspicuous card attached inside good for a FREE Godiva Strawberry Truffle chocolate bar for members; just take that certificate into your Godiva boutique, no purchase needed. Expires 2/5/12 or while supplies last. I know where I’m going tomorrow! 🙂

Funny how the free Godiva Member’s Candy Bar works. My mother and I went into the store this weekend with my husband. One lady waited on us for the free monthly piece of Godiva, no problem. The other women waited on my husband and he got the free piece and the free candy bar. Have no clue why he got it and not us, as we are all members, but no problem. Next time, I guess. 🙂
My husband just went yesterday since we had a rewards card to redeem and got a free strawberry truffle candy piece but no bar either! Darn…
The card in the mailed catalog says you need to “Present Certificate” to get the bar. … I’m guessing some Godivas know about the promo though and certain counter clerks may be more generous and just give them out, while others only give them to those who bring in the card. Guess YMMV but it’s free chocolate!
Yum! I would join, except for the fact that the nearest Godiva is a few hours away. Sadness 🙁 And the fact that I’m on Weight Watchers wouldn’t help either. Maybe it’s a good thing… lol!

I signed up for this in October and love it. It’s not a lot, but we go to the mall at least once a month and you get a sugar low from all that walking around. One truffle is just the right pick me up for continued shopping!
They also often send me % of e-mails for in store purchases all the time.
=/ I’m striking out today! The nearest Godiva is 2 hours away and I couldn’t get the BOGO babyganics either. Some days you win, some days not so much! ; )

Argh! My catalog does NOT have the certificate. Sadness:-(
Do the coupons only work at Godiva Boutiques? Or do they also work at other stores? I ask this because the location finder on the website shows the nearest Godiva Boutique is 200 miles away, but when I click “search all stores”, the nearest store is only 20 miles away.
We got the catalog and stopped in today. My husband and I each have a card and the catalog came in his name. His card was the only one that could receive the candy bar. When they scan your card it will indicate if you have been granted this reward. We had scanned my card first and nothing. That is when I remembered the catalog came in his name. Sure enough the candy bar was on his. Not to worry he shared : )
They also give an extra goody on your birthday. Problem is, Godiva chocolate quality has gone *way* down. My husband and I visited them shortly before Christmas and all several pieces of chocolate tasted stale. The bars may still taste good. The truffles were the ones that did not taste anywhere as fresh and good as they had several years back. They may have dropped the quality to run these promotions. I am saddened to say I no longer buy their chocolate or go there to obtain my free monthly chocolate. 🙁
