What’s Recyclebank?
If you’re new around here, you are probably wondering what the heck RecycleBank is. RecycleBank partners with cities and haulers to reward households for recycling; households earn RecycleBank Points that can be used to shop at over 1,500 local and national businesses. Once you have signed up for an account, you can start earning points immediately by clicking on the “Earn Points” tab and taking quizzes. You can then use your points to purchase high value coupons for groceries and/or discounts at online stores. After signing in, click on the “Get Rewards” tab and you’ll be able to start scrolling through the rewards they have available.
Is anybody else not getting their points added on when they complete something? I’m not even sure who to contact. ?
Yes…. Megan, contact them. I took the Polar Bear thingy and only got 5 points. A girl by the name of Jckie writes (usually takes them 2-3 days to respond) me each time. Her e-mail is info@recyclebank.com. The first problem was: I didn’t get my “gift” from my rewards that I ordered 12/4. They are still working on that….. but, Jackie said she would reorder my gift. I’m still waiting…… Yesterday she wrote the Polar Bear thingy was fixed. BUT, it wasn’t, so I had to write her again. When I went to verify my account…. I didn’t see any of my rewards… So, I wrote about that too. She said when they Updated their site in January it wiped all of their “rewards” previous to Jan.2012. Good Luck. Jackie is the best if you can get her/him.
Are yo sure you are not getting points? Check your Total….Few days ago this happened to me. First I thought I am not gettin my points because my pop up blocker was turned on. When I checked my totall, actually I was getting them.
Thank you for posting. We do not have get point sfor recycling in our area but we still try to dn everything we can (composting, recycling, wasting less, etc.) It is hard for me to recyclebank points so every post like this helps =)
For those who still thinking join or not, I say JOIN THE RECYCLE BANK!!! I don’t bother with lots of things, sometimes not even doing money makers or get freebies, but this Recyclebank is worth your time. In the beginning it’s annoying to figure out yet another coupon type of site, but the reward is great– You get excellent coupons, and you’d be surprised how much you’ll learn while earning the rewards. I’m a recycle freak and thought I knew everything but no, I continue to learn to be greener everytime I use Recycle bank. Give it a try and hang in there for at least a month while getting used to it. You will like it!

I got 10 points 12/9/11. Is this newer than that? I’ll check. Thanks for the heads up. I wish I could get the 20 points for the photo thing, but, I am sooo new to the computer, that I haven’t learned how to do photo’s yet. Pooey. I will check Kashi.Thanks Lynn.
