Walgreens Deals 2/12-2/18
If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.
Also, as most of you know, Walgreens now has a corporate coupon policy available. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.
Want to create your own custom printable shopping list?!

Possible Cottonelle Toilet Paper deal (Valid SUNDAY Only):
I am stating that this is a “possible” deal due to hearing reports of a Cottonelle Register Reward deal starting Sunday, 2/12 and running through 3/4. Supposedly when you purchase 2 Cottonelle 12-packs, you’ll get back a $3 RR OR purchase 3 and get back a $4 RR. Note that I cannot guarantee this will work, so proceed at your own risk. And the reason that this deal is only valid tomorrow is because the regional $0.50/1 or $1/1 Cottonelle coupon found in the 1/15 SmartSource is only valid through 2/12. Alright, so check out the deal you may be able to score Sunday only…
Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 Cottonelle 12-packs $5 each (Note that last time a similar deal was available ONLY the purple package generated the Register Reward – not the blue. Something to keep in mind)

Is the math for the Cottonelle deal right? Or maybe my brain just isn’t working? How is it $6 after coupons?
Looks like it should be $7 or $6 with the $1/1 q’s
Hi Ashley,
Sorry my math was off.
So it’s –
Buy 2 Cottonelle 12-packs $5 each
Total = $10
Use 2 regional $0.50/1 coupons found in the 1/15 SS (Exp. 2/12!)
= $9
Or use 2 regional $1/1 coupons
= $8
Plus, use the $1/1 Cottonelle Walgreens coupon found in the February Coupon Booklet (will deduct $2)
Final cost as low as $6 (with 2 $1/1 manufacturer’s coupons)
Get back a $3 RR
Final cost only $3 total – $1.50 per 12 pack!
Make sense?
Gotcha! Thank you!
My coupon is .50/2. Boo 🙁
Its .50/2 smaller packs or .50/1 12 pack. Read it closely I thought the same thing
I was thinking the same thing. I think it should be $7 with the $.50 coupon and $6 with the $1 coupon?
Thanks for posting all the great deals!
You’re welcome! 🙂
My walgreens in Ellsworth Maine will not let me use 2 coupons on a b1g1 situation. SO if I did the get 2b hair buy then I would have to pay $2.99 for both. This sucks for me…. 🙁
Do you have a CVS because I think the sale is 3.99 each and use the 3.00 coupon makes it .99 each. Hope that helps you out. Cheaper than 2.99 for two. Rite Aid also has the same deal.
According to wags coupon policy, you can use 2 coupons on a b1g1 sale as long as your total does not go below zero. So we should not be able to do the got2b deal, but on other b1g1 deals I would take the policy with me and talk to them about using both coupons on these sales.
You should still be able to use two coupons on this Bogo sale, however they will need to adjust the second coupon so that it does not go below zero. They do not allow overage, but they are supposed to adjust the coupon. Half the time at my walgreens they just manually put it through for the amount of the coupon, even though I have told them they are not supposed to give me overage.
At my local walgreens, they will not adjust the price of the second coupon if the price goes below zero on a B1G1 sale. They will just let you use one coupon on two items. They will adjust the coupon when you are buying items that are not B1G2. Different stores, different rules I guess!
I’m so excited to see the post for Walgreens!! Thanks a million…your awesome!
Thanks, Tammy! 🙂
Hey Collin, thank you for making your mobile site just as nice as your regular site. I browse from my iphone a lot and your site is so well laid out and thoughtful. I appreciate it!
You are welcome, Emily! I sure appreciate your comment!
Agreed!
I use my blackberry n love your mobile site 🙂
what zip code for the dominos sugar?
Try zip code 33033.
My walgreens wont adjust coupons down, even after i showed them that their policy says they will. 🙁
Melissa,
You need to contact the district manager. If he or she won’t help, then contact corporate. Individual stores aren’t allowed to pick and choose whether or not they follow the coupon policy.
I’ve had the same problem. Walgreens employees (at least in my area) are notorious for making up their own rules.
In the ubiquinol deal the walgreen coupon will deduct only $7.00 not $14.00 , i tried it last time when cashier scan the coupon the monitor shows $14.00 deduction but after she hit subtotal it shows only $7.00 is deducted ,she even called her manager he tried too and couldn’t figure out why . He told me that he can’t do it manually so i told them to void my purchase. Next time i’ll be more carefull with these wags coupons.
Proudmommy, That is the “deal” I had problems with too. Then they wouldn’t take the Walgreens coupon because the “picture” didn’t match. My Walgreens in Houston is really getting to be a stick in the mud. I don’t even enjoy going there any more. The Caress was $1.99, and a lot of folks posted 99 cents, so I left.
I’m going to assume we will run into the same problems we ran into last week with the:
Deal Scenario #4:
Buy 2 Nature’s Bounty CoQ-10 Ubiquinol (30 ct) $29.99 each
Minus Buy 1 Get 1 Free Sale = $29.99 for both
Use 2 $7/1 coupons found in the 1/8 or 2/12 RP
Plus, use the $7/1 Walgreens coupon found in the February Coupon Booklet (will deduct $14)
Final cost only $1.99 total – just $1 each!! WOW!!!
Last week I got into quite a dispute with the manager about the $7 wags monthly coupon. It would only take off the coupon once yet, said on the receipt that it deducted $14. The total came to $8.99 for two, which is still a good deal but I wasn’t trying to purchase them for that amount. I then called corporate which they said that the manager should have overriden the system. They said that the store manager would contact me and take care of the issue. When he called me, he said that there was nothing that he could do because the monthly coupons are given to them by the manufacturer and if the manufacture only wants to give the $7 off one time on a bogo then he could not do anything to change it. Yet again with wags… nothing solved and SUCH A HEADACHE!
Same thing happened to me. I also contacted Corporate, The manager called. Said the same thing, PLUS, they couldn’t take the Walgreens coupon , Because the Picture didn’t match… Geez….. always something.
The Wags coupon states that the Ubiquonil Coupon is a “Vendor Funded Coupon.” In other words, a manufacturer’s coupon….this is why it won’t work. Still, $8.99 is a great deal for $59.98 of product that you use.
Same problem here. But my totally awesome Wags manager issued me a refund for the difference. Knowing that everyone is having the same problem, I probably won’t try the deal anymore. Don’t want to do anything to bring couponing a bad name.
My manager was called over and was amazing. I said twice “don’t worry about it I’ll go out it back” & he said “no you aren’t doing anything wrong I’m going to fix this” ended up making it work. It isn’t the closest Walgreens to me but I might be making the drive just for their amazing service! I never get that lucky, made my whole day!
I don’t mind putting some extra miles on my car to avoid terrible service and people who look at me like I’m trying to pull one over on them. The CVS around the corner from me always gives me problems, and they are nasty, so I go down the street where everyone is nice, helpful and the shelves are always stocked!
the same thing goes for all of the walgreens monthly coupon booklet coupons. for example the almay collin posted about…it will NOT take off $3 for each one for a total of $6 off, it will only take off $4.50, because they are BOGO 50%.
i work at wags and this is how it always happens with our registers. the monthly coupon books dont act the same as manufacturer coupons and take the amount off the total price(for example the 29.99 minus $14), they more so “adjust the price” of the item. so once the Ubiquinol walgreens coupon is scanned, it basically “adjusts the price” of the Ubiquinol from 29.99 to 22.99, then BOGOfree, makes them 2/22.99 then use 2 $7 manufacturer coupons, brings your total to $8.99 for both of them, so $4.50 each. it does not show up on the receipt that they are 22.99, it shows that the wags coupon took off $14, but that is before the “total” key is hit by the cashier, then the computer automatically adjusts the price to what i described above.
i hope this makes sense to everyone that is confused about this.
Ms. Hip,
Is there a way to find a coupon from an insert quickly? I know I saw it, but I don’t know where?
There’s a coupon database button at the top of the site. Just type in the name of the brand and if there is a coupon for it, she will have it listed! HTH!
Thanks!
Use the coupon database button at the top of Collin’s homepage! Hope this helps!
I agree, I purchased the deal last time and also noticed that because the one is free, the receipt shows the $7.00 being added back to the total after the $14.00 was deducted. It’s still a good deal. I don’t know it this is a regional system item or what’s going on, but beware.
it sounds like it was everywhere with the Ubiquinol. And, I tried it at both stores that had the old computers, as well as ones with the new computers. Same issue both times. It always added the $7 back. This is one of my favorite supplements, so was kind of a bummer. But, when I think about how much this new form of Co Q-10 usually costs, it is a phenomenal price!
What zipcode should I use for the Illy coupons? Thanks!
Darn! I Just checked and it looks like maybe these coupons are gone now? 🙁
Can someone help with a zip for the Illy drinks? Thanks!!!
See my comment above…
Does anyone know if the Nice! Orange Juice is good? I haven’t tried a Nice! product yet but we are out of OJ at my house!
It’s okay….not great but not horrible. 🙂
Bambi–>i had the same problem .its not honnest from walgreen to do that because they deduct the “free one ” after coupons . meaning first we pay for it and than after all the coupons, they will deduct the free one . they found a new way to rip off people with their machine by changing all the systems. the price doesnt deduct untill they press enter , and they dont press enter untill u give them all your coupons. i ended paying more too . went back to walgreen telling them their math was completly off . 29.99$ buy one get one free should take off 29.99 but it only took off 22.99$ .
i had an other problem with clearance item. last time they put a neutrogena product on clearance 1$ (i had a 1$ off coupon for ANY neutrogena product) the cashier wouldnt even scan it saying i cannot use a coupon for an item that’s the same value it should be over the coupon value . (as far as i m aware the coupon or walgreen policy doesnt mention anything about it ).
and i had that problem with not only that product but all kind of buy one get one free or buy one get one 50% off sales . the price wont deduct untill AFTER coupon.
so in the policy they tell you they will apply the coupon on the bogo sell but hide that they deduce it BEFORE they give you the “free one “or “50% off ” which really isnt free (and not a true 50% off ).
also it says on the policy if the coupon is greater the value they will adjust it but most cashier will say sorry it beep i can’t take it or i can’t override the machine and enter it manually ( which i know is untrue because some nice cashier done it before and adjusted my coupon)
no mattter what its always became search a huge headeache with cashier at walgreens i gave up on that store and only go if there is something i really can’t buy anywhere else or a super great deal .
i dedided to stop looking for those deals buy one get one free or buy one get one 50% off because with their new system its really not interresting to do so . if you want a TRUE buy one get one free go to cvs, theirs will deduce the price before coupons and after scanning your card . its easier i dont get headeache over there and if the coupon beep the cashier will adjust it .
I know. Going on about 1 year now I say every week–not doing Walgreens this time. Too big of a hassle. But somehow they manage to get me back in there on occasion, although not nearly as often as when I first started couponing. Maybe someday I’ll be able to quit them completely!
hi i saw you were frustrated, but you are correct. the same thing goes for all of the walgreens monthly coupon booklet coupons. for example the almay collin posted about…it will NOT take off $3 for each one for a total of $6 off, it will only take off $4.50, because they are BOGO 50%.

ii have worked there for years, the coupon system is pretty confusing but there are many great deals to be found! dont give up
you just got to find the right Wags, not all are the same, and to your comment about the B1G1 on the $29.99 Ubiquinol, the coupon in Feb. book is a discount, (see comment above from Katie she explains it right on. And if you buy it without the coupon from Feb. book it will deduct $29.99.
My Cottonelle coupon was 0.50/2 with an expiration date of 2-12-12.
I believe my deal would look like this….Buy 2 Cottonelle 12 pks. $5 each=$10…..use one 0.50/2 cpn. from SS 1/15=$9.50…..Use Walgreens Feb. monthly $1/1 cpn. (will deduct $2 total)=$7.50…..Receive $3 RR=$4.50 Total for “2” 12 pks. (or $2.25 each).
It’s not as good as Collin’s deal but could someone tell me if this is still a good deal on this brand of toilet paper…..? Thanks in advance! And a HUGE THANKS to Collin for EVERYTHING you do!! Your site is the best! Hands down!! 😉
It’s still a much better deal then you will find at Walmart or the grocery store, but the only downfall is that these “large” rolls don’t seem to last very long, in my opinion. I think I’m used to having “double” rolls I guess, because with this brand I seem to go through them more quickly. Just a note of caution–still a good deal though 🙂
i actually LOVE this toilet paper 😉 I even buy it with no coupon 🙂 my husband is very picky!
Check your coupon again…I thought mine was .50/2 as well but that is if you get the 4 packs. It’s .50/1 if you buy the 12 pack. Just a heads up!
Laura! Thank you so much for the tip…..I checked my coupon again & you are absolutely right! (Guess I didn’t read it very good!) I am so glad you replied to my post! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Also, thank you “ali” for the comment! Hip2Save readers are the best! Thanks everyone! 😉
Make sure to read your coupon, I almost thought I had the same lower value, but mine in fact reads, “Save $.50 on any TWO (2) Cottonelle Toilet Paper 4 packs or ONE (1) 12-pack or larger.” And since these are 12 packs, I only need one package per coupon! 🙂 I hope your coupon reads this way too!
oops.. didnt read far enough down.. looks like you figured that out with other readers posting the same. 😉
That’s ok! Thank you so much for your help, too! Good luck shopping! 😉
My 50 cent coupon is 50 on any 2 4pakcs or one 12 pack so it would be 50 cents off 1.
Forgive me if I’m just missing this, but my ads have Ricola (including dual action) at $1.29. With the $1/1 Facebook coupon…makes them $.29!
I hope that i get the got2b coupons!
Me too.
I had to fight with them on that one, my cashier didn’t want to adjust down the coupon. Thankfully, the manager said it was ok.
Thanks Collin! Your match-ups are awesome.
Does anyone know how to submit the artic natural omega vitamin rebate from last week online? It’s asking for an offer code in the book, but I can’t find it. I have to choose between W0211 and W0112. What are they talking about???
Don’t know, but if I was guessing I would say it might be the number that is on the Wags coupon in their monthly book. Just guessing. And I don’t have Jan. book, if that is the one you need.
0112=january 2012 booklet, 0212=february 2012. I think. i submitted mine online today using 0212. then the offer numbers are 1-7 as listed in the booklet. arctic naturals are offer #3. hope this helps!
Rhonda is right. Also if you look on the right hand side of the page near the upper corner (next to the online form) it will say “February 2012 Rebate Form” click on it and it will open up the rebate info that is in the book and you will see it says 0212 and then next to each of the items it lists the offer #. HTH
Collin, it’s so nice to have people like you who take your time to help others. i recently registered for your site and am now taking advantage of the hip list feature at the bottom of my browser window. it’s so much easier for me to find deals from previous days without having to scroll through past entries. wonderful wonderful idea! 🙂
Awe… thanks, Kharlen! Glad to hear you find it helpful! 🙂
I need to buy some Almay eyemakeup remover pads. Does anyone know if they are included in the Almay cosmetic buy one get one 50% Off? Will the $2.00 coupon work on them too? Technically eyemake up remover pads are not a “cosmetic” so I was wondering.
yes they work, or at least they have in the past. Don’t know about if they are included in the bogo50 or not though. I have a ton want to buy some? LOL
Here here to what Kharlen said! This site is amazing, Collin. You save me so much money, and it’s so easy to navigate through. Thanks a million! Off to clip my coupons and get ready for tomorrow!
You are most welcome, Linda! 🙂
Collin –
You mentioned the Disney vitamins are BOGO free but in the Deal Scenario #5 you have them as BOGO 50% off. The ad says BOGO free – am I reading it wrong (which is entirely possible, lol)
Oopsie. They are on sale BOGO… that was a typo. Gonna go update the post now. Thanks for catching that.
I went early this morning and was able to get the got2b deal, but I tried going later in the day to use my other two other coupons and the guy wouldn’t lower the 2nd coupon, although in the morning, that cashier was able to do so. It was quite frustrating to say the least I only got a visine because my dad really needed it, and even that caused problems the walgreens coupon wouldn’t scan and another cashier had the nerve to tell me I couldn’t use two coupons (manuf and store coupon), and the manager accepted the visine one but not the got 2b, tried another walgreens and failed. I ended up at walmart and got two got2b clearance items for a dollar, which isn’t as great as free, but no hassel involved. Next time I will make sure I take a coupon policy because that was the worst shopping trip I had, and I have given Walgreens great reviews online.
Progresso coupon all gone. 🙁
Got2b products cvs 3.99 and some products have a bonus product! Better, than dealing with walgreens! Almay products better at cvs use the 2dlr cpn counts towrds gift cards get makeup remover pads cheaper! My friend went to walgreens had a hard time trying asking them to adjust the cpn for got2b products!!!

Thanks for the info on the Sarna deal. My father uses it like water and I got 1 bottle at $3 and two more at 7.99.
I feel like I’m preparing for battle tomorrow! LOL. My Wags have gotten the new registers and I have had issues when I have a bogo deal. Their register rings up the second item as free but the new systems attach both MQ and SQ to each item and the system will only deduct enough to make an item free. So that means no coupons on the free items. I will be taking the coupon policy with me since it says on there that for bogo deals you can use applicable cpns as long as the NET price is not below zero.
The first time I encountered the new system after the cashier ran thru my coupons it rejected some of the earlier scanned coupons because he had to adjust down the cpns ( I was hoping for overage which had worked at other stores). The cashier showed me and said that the new registers were going in every store and would help prevent MMs. so this new system will not let me use a second cpn on a bogo deal because it sees it as a MM. I was hoping it would take them a while to get them into the stores but they are moving quickly on this.
Haha! I have to agree, it does feel like a battle tomorrow. A battle to actually get products before the shelves are cleared (even if you go there before the store opens, all couponers are right at the door) and then a battle with the cashier and/or register. Here’s to hoping 🙂
I went to 2 different walgreenes today and couldn’t work out the got2b deal. They make up their own rules. It was to much for me. I’m getting annoyed with them. Some don’t take printed coupons. Some accuse you of printing coupons and some are just plain old rude. 🙁 i’ll pay the extra $1 at cvs
I ment, Some accuse you of printing up fake coupons.
I got the got2be deal today. Since these were the only 2 items I was trying to purchase the register beeped, but my cashier told me that if I purchased a filler item It would ring up, so I bought some gum and walked out paying $1.11 for everything.
to avoid coupon beepage, ask your cashier if they will price adjust the price by a penny (at least for 1 but you may have to let them do both at $6 as well for the bogo to work properly) that way the coupons wilol sail through beeplessly. I have most of my stores trained now to do this. They prefer it as it is easier and it does not for whatever reason send up red flags with Loss Prevention like when they mark a coupon down does. Give it a shot, it may just work for you. HTH
Thanks
As of 1:00am pacific time, the cottonelle deal did not work for me. But keep an eye out for some of the LypSyl cold sore treatment packages with a try me free ( but it states up to $2.99) peelie. It will be a $2.99 moneymaker after the $2.99 rebate.
thanks katee for your reply however its not the way it should be. at cvs the coupon is deduct after the free item at walgreen the walgreen coupon was deduct before and than became free .
the regular logic –>buy one get one free :
29.99+29.99 (free) minus 14$ coupon +14$ coupon=1.99$
so everything should have been 1.99$ but ended up paying 8.99$ with their new system. thats a huge difference at the end . i just dont like the way they changed it .its unfair for the costumers .
i agree with you there is many great deals to be found like clearance items or special sales .i just won’t buy any buy one get one free or buy one get one 50% off because its a rip off . cvs have true buy one get one free . thats how walgreens should be .
i use to shop a lot at walgreens before their new system now i bring my coupons to cvs instead ( it cost a bit more but at least i dont get headeache or nervous when the machine beeps )
i know its not the cashier fault i talked to one of the cashiers who got a warning from his manager for taking a coupon he shouldnt have . he was really scraed and was calling his manager everytime my coupon beeped and his manager had to validate each one (even though they were from the sunday paper) .cashiers have a lot of pressure im aware of that . some are just rude , some are undeducated about coupons , some have too much pressure and some will help you with the deal adjusting your coupons . it really depends where you go . i know i went to 4 different cities and each of them , they were really nasty ( thats one of the reason why i gave up too)
Katee had it right on, the monthly coupon books at Walgreens are more of a “discount” so the price is dicounted to $22.99/2, if you dont use the discount $7 then you will get $29.99 off for free one
im sorry you dont agree with the walgreens coupon policy freebie, but us cahsiers cant do anything to change it!(and i shop at CVS more haha its much easier, i’ll keep that a secret to my store though!)
i was just trying to help explain it to you so everyone would understand how the registers will work, so you know what you will really end up paying at the end of the transaction. so you dont expect to pay $2 but end up paying $9. so maybe you dont agree with how they work, but thats how it happens, so its your decision if you want to continue shopping there, just find a nice store it makes alllll the difference!
Darn the pregresso coupon is gone…….
As of 7:00 a.m. EST, on 2/12, the cottonelle deal did NOT work – no RR’s.
Darn! 🙁 Thanks for the update, though… I have since updated the post to let others no that the deal is not working.
No worries Collin, $3.50 for a 12 pk is still decent. Thanks to all your work I have tried so many new items at little to no cost to me! As others have mentioned, its pretty good TP and my husband will just have to get over the fact that I just bought more – you should have seen the look I got from him at Wags this morning… 🙂
If someone can get the Cottonelle deal to work, it may get sweeter as there is a $1.50/1 12 pack or larger on their website.
The coupon is for on 12 pack or larger AND one flushable wipes
CouponNetwork uploaded the catalina offer early this morning. Kroger is the only participating retailer in the Cottonelle deal. Walgreens isn’t listed. The price at my Kroger is $6.29.
I’m reading the Wags coupon comments and this morning, even my manufacturer coupon from the insert- the buy a Hershey’s candy bar get an Air Delight bar free did not scan in their system! The poor cashier was disgusted and worked around it- and that was one from the Sunday inserts! I can see why ppl using printable coupons are having issues! Wags needs to do something with their system….
I do not waste my time at Wags, always a battle and frustation.
I receiced a high value $5 off cpn for the razor or the refills from my free schick hydro razor from facebook are the refilss included in the offer for $9.99 and receive $4 RR?
does anyone know if the got 2 be sale is only regional? or unadvertised? I live in san antonio, TX, and its not showing up in my add in print or online! DARN!
Mine weren’t even marked at the store. I just took them to the register, and voila! they rang up B1G1. If you are interested in the product, I would try that.
I saw on this site that is not advertised! At walgreens! Cvs has it for $3.99 but, some products have 2 bottles on the GOT2BE product! At cvs! 2 bottles for 3.99 minus cpn .99 better that arguing with walgreens! The cpns came in todays sunday paper 2/12 red plum (Houston_

Had problem with Walgrens too. Buying Always with buy one get one free coupon and coupon would not work. Called in Manager and by the time he came two guys were behind me in line shuffling their feet impatiently and waiting to get their pack of cigs paid for and be out the door. I, too, am starting to avoid Walgreens like the plague.
On the osteo bi flex there is a $5.00 walgreens coupon from the walgreens booklet called “Answers at walgreens”. I found them right in the medicine isle. So with that coupon and the 2x$7.00 coupons + $5.00 wags coupon= $19.00 off the $19.99 price making it .99 cents YaY 🙂
did you actually do this exact deal? because the coupons from the walgreens book are manufacturer coupons. they start with a 5 and are all different numbers in the barcode, if it was a wags coupon it would start with a bunch of zero’s. and you cant use 2 manufacturer coupons together. so this deal wouldnt work sorry
Cottonelle deal did NOT work at 8am! Boooooo
Anyone with the $2 FB Yes to Carrots coupon, I found clearance items! Shampoo was $2.49 regularly $8.99 and facial moisturizer was $2.29. Great deals!
