to get the $4ECB do u have to purchase them in seprate transactions?? thanks! 🙂

    • Amanda

Last time you didn’t have to. But the problem is, you end up with a really large ECB if you are buying multiples.

  2. Roxy

Just a heads up. I understand that this was a mistake and a lot of CVS stores removed the tags for this deal. It definitely looks like a mistake. I mean, you buy it for $4 and get 4 ECB and the limit is 100??!! and the deal has been going on for like 3 weeks…. Anyway, I tried it a while ago and the ECBs wouldn’t print and the cashier didn’t know why. I had to go to the shelf, bring the tag and spent a lot of time there trying to figure it out. Finally she decided to print 4 ECB manually for me. Only 4 even if I bought 2 Schick gels.

    • Melissa

same thing here in metro detroit a couple weeks ago….

    • lovedeals

It’s not a mistake. Not all the schick shave gels are included for the ECB (like it showes in the pic.) I bought the sensitive one and I got the ECB (2 weeks back). My friend bought the other kind at the same time and she didn’t get the ECB.

    • Lisa W

This happened to me, too, last week. There is a sign that says you get $4ecb limit 100 for the Sensitive kind. I saw a bunch of the sensitive kind on an end cap with a $2 peelie on them and got so excited because even though they were ringing up at $4.49, the coupon would have made it $2.49 and it would have been a huge moneymaker. Well I brought 7 up to checkout and the ecb didn’t print! The cashier went to grab the tag, confirmed that I had the sensitive version and manually put out the ecb for me. I was lucky, but they took the sign down after that.

  3. Lori

What is the limit? One per each kind?

  4. Janelle

I am not going to try this.. I know it’s an error on their end and I would feel bad walking away with a free product when an error caused it.. My sister in law tried this yesterday and they told her it was a mistake and that they would be correcting it. They were nice enough to let her do one transaction though 🙂

    • jess

      🙂

  5. Maria

The only skintimate shave gel working is the Pink Dry Skin can.

There is a limit of 100, and they will probably cancel this tomorrow.

  6. robyn

i too did some of these when the tags were on them, and then i went back and the tags were gone so i figured they corrected the mistake….

  7. whitephantom

My store has been actually advertising this with a sign and everything for weeks, even stating the moneymaker and a limit of 6 dated since 1/29. I have enough fromt he last haul, but I posted it on KCL and only a few people checked it out and it didn’t work, this is very regional so beware.

  8. ella

This time the limit is 5 not 100 like last time and only two work, mens sensitive and womens light pink can with vitamin e.

    • Roxy

Well then, maybe it’s not a mistake after all.

    • Brandi @ Savvy Student Shopper

I bought 6 yesterday and it worked fine, so the limit is not 5 😉

      • Jaime

yes, limit is not 5 because I bought 8

        • Daniel

I bought 12 and got all my ECBs,

  9. Kara

Actually, I know it’s more than a limit of 5 (well, at least total) because I bought 9 yesterday (5 in one transaction and 4 in the other) and got ECBs for each. I’d imagine it will be fixed soon though!

  10. jen rivera

My store had the tag on it that it would give you a $4.00 ECB on the those and the skintimate creams as well.. and they also said limit of 100 per household.. my store gave me no problems what so ever.

  11. jen rivera

Also I bought 3 in one transaction and it printed out 1 $12.00 ECB.. I have also read that they are rolling ECB, so if you get one $4.00 ECB you can use that one to pay for another Shick and still get another ECB

    • kelly

you can always roll your ecb’s. as long as the limit is more than one at cvs you can buy them in the same transaction too and get all the ecbs. its walgreens that you can’t roll RR or buy in the same transaction

      • Mommascott

Actually, I’ve done it at Walgreens a time or two

        • kelly

it just depends on whether or not the walgreens item has a limit of more than one. most items have a limit of one for the RR but if it has a limit of two for example then yes you can get them in the same transaction. but 99% of the items specify limit one. so you have to do multiple transactions to get the RR for each item (of the same kind that is)

    • Jaime

yes you can roll it into the next one but the problem is that it prints $4 EB and the item is less than $4….so, you either have to buy something else or use it to buy 2 more.

  12. ashley

i was just at my cvs and didn’t even realize about the ecb but i bought two of the women shave gel on sale for 3.49 both with the two dollars off peelies and i got 8.00 ecb back !!

  13. sara

i did it a couple weeks ago in my CVS and now they pulled all the signs down and no longer have it here in NC.

    • Brooke

It worked here in Jacksonville, NC 🙂

    • rebecca

      Does it work in wilmington

  14. kelly

i went to buy two. they were all out of the schick so i got two skintimate. the cashier said you have to buy one shick and one skintimate in order to get the $4 ecb. i’ve had problems every time i check out with that cashier so i just returned them. didn’t want to argue. none of the other cvs’ in the area had the tags for the deal anymore so i just gave up. really wanted to get the mens shave gel for my guy :/ oh well, i’m sure there will be more deals in the future

  15. Bo

I bought one Schick about 30 minutes ago.. had no problems! My receipt did say that my limit of one was filled though.. so looks like they’ve corrected it so you can only buy one?

    • Jaime

my receipt said quantity needed 1, quantity toward 1 but it still works if you buy more

      • Jaime

it will say * offer limit reached at the bottom of your receipt when you hit the limit

  16. Gentle

I just left CVS (TN) and this did not work at mine. I had my 55cent coupon for the Skintimate and so I had to pay 2.94 but got back no ECB. 🙁

    • Amy

Did you get the correct Skintimate? There is only one kind that is printing the ECB… (see above comments).

      • Gentle

They didn’t have any of the light pink ones at my CVS, only the Strawberry, Mango, and some other fruity flavored one. 🙁 And, I didn’t even try the Schick so I don’t know if my store had those or not. Oh well…it’s not worth gas to drive back and try it. My CVS is a trouble store anyway. The employees are severely rude and not the least bit helpful and every sale that’s ever advertised, no matter when I go (could be Sunday morn when the doors open) the shelves are totally empty of any of the sale items. So, I’m convinced they won’t put out the stock of the items that are on sale. And, none of ours had any peelies on them either.

        • Gentle

I mean fruity scented not fruity flavored (since it’s not to eat, lol).

        • Jaime

yes it is only working for that one particular “sensitive skin” variety

    • Elizabeth

i just got back from cvs i got 3 (the light pink one) and i got $12 back

  17. squarejellybean

I bought these a few days ago with the $2 peelies and no EB and I purchased the pictured ones here in CA

  18. bfam

Just bought one Schick Hydro Sensitive Shave gel and two Skintimate Shave Gel (dry skin) and received $12 ECB. My store had the tags indicating which varieties were included in the $4 ECB deal and which were not.

    • bfam

On my receipt it looks like there is a limit of 4 because I have a Quantity Toward this Reward = 3 and Quantity Needed to Earn Reward = 1.

      • Ana

Limit is 100. The quantity needed only means for your NEXT reward not your total rewards. If you buy the correct items deal should still worked. Last tested it at 1.29 pm eastern.

  19. Bianca

I got 4 today. I did one transaction, paid $3 (after $6 in ECB) and got $16 ECB’s back. I don’t really think it’s that much of a mistake? A lot of places have free items after rewards back and this doesn’t seem like I’d be “stealing” anything. I had no problems here in Woodland CA. I’ll actually probably go with my mom out of town to get more!I donate most of these to my friends at work or to the troops with my little brother. Thanks for the tip, Collin!

  20. squarejellybean

cool I just got back and bought 2 but last time I didnt get EB’s. But these 2 had the $2 peelie coupons on each one so I paid $3.98 got back $8.00 EB so awesome because my dad has been asking for shaving cream here in central CA thanks for the tip collin & hipsters 🙂

  21. Ann

I bought 4, 1 skitimate and 1 mens in 2 transactions. I got $8 ECB back for eack, curious if it will roll though, they had plenty left w/ the peelies? Anyone know if its rolling? I have bought 4 total, i read on another board that its a high limit, some are buying 8-10 at a time. And still going… Anyone know?

  22. Terri

limit is 100!! just got over 20 from may different stores in the area

    • kelly

Wow! You are lucky. I went to 3 stores and not a one to be found. oh well win some lose some

      • jis

maybe you live in her area and she bought all the cans from your stores.
stating that the limit is 100 because you bought 20 isn’t exactly correct either. according to her statement, the limit could be 21. this deal is such a mess anyway. a kind-sorta glitchy deal from three weeks ago that pops back up for who knows how long? oh well.

  23. Terri

Ps. You can get a rain check for these shaving creams! Yah

  24. Brandie

The light pink Schick for women gives back a $4.00 ecb also…

  25. moochyschwag

I got the wrong one. Got to return it. Bummer.

  26. Darlene

I just tried this deal at my CVS and did not get the ECB’s. When asked about it my CVS states you have to buy the skintimate and the hydro to get the ECB’s. 🙁

  27. Gaby

I got the schick hydro pictured and the skintimate skin therapy dry skin (pink can) and got both $4 ECB (2 transactions). Thinking of going back to get at least another one. My store also had the tags and they had the $2 peelies.

  28. Makayla

I think this was a glitch from the schick hydro razors giving 4 ecb back and then every week after Sunday the computer resets an allows it again. May be gone by Tuesday like last week. Nevertheless, got mine. No coupons for moneymaker but free works.

  29. Heather

OMG!!!I just seen this posted and reading everyones things on it,want to go to CVS so bad right now and it’s 9:30 @ night:( What to do….

  30. whitephantom

I popped into my CVS before they closed, lots of cokes had the coupon booklet. No hydros left 🙁 My guy seems to think he is okay with using my shaving cream too lol– it works out cuz I got a lot of Skintimates! The cashier just let me buy whatever skintimate (I got the non-pink fruity ones) and manually printed my ECBs.

  31. Melinda

I checked here in California and it worked just great. I bought 5 of the light pink Skintimates. They were on sale for $3.59 each and I got $4 ECB back on each one.

  32. kidsallgone

I went late this afternoon to the CVS across the street from me and I got 3 pink Skintimates for $3.69 each. I paid with $12 in ECBs that I had. It printed out a $12 ECB 🙂
Then I went back and got 2 blue Skintimates and another pink one, but it only printed out $4 ECBs. I knew that everyone had posted that it would only work with the pink one, but there were tags under the other ones that said something like, “$4 ECB on selected Skintimates.” I asked the manager if I would get an ECB if the tag was under the item or would I just be taking a chance since it said “selected” and he said if it said so under the item, I should receive the ECBs. So….he printed out an ECB for $8.00 🙂 I have enough for me and my 2 daughters to share and I just have to convince the old man to use them too! LOL! There were more on the shelves, but I was happy with 6 cans and $12 ECBs to spend another time 🙂 🙂 🙂

  33. Cheryl S.

Out at my CVS. 🙁 I’ll try another tomorrow…

  34. edy

Yes, its a go here in houston. My cvs had the 2dlrs cpn peelies saturday on them. I haven’t been back to cvs until tomorrow!!

  35. Aimee

This deal is awesome. I’ve been buying the pink Skintimate, using the .55 cents off coupon making it $3.09 then grabbing a .99 cent item such as the diet coke 2 liters with the coupons, the CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine, or a small tin of the Nivea cream (which counts toward the $3.00 ECB for Nivea). I pay .25 cents, get back the $4.00 ECB and do it all over again. Love this deal!

    • Marissa

What is the Nivea deal you are doing this week? Is it the spend 10 get 3ECB? 🙂 thanks!

  36. Michelle M

This picture cracks me up! Sometimes I wish all deals would include exact product pictures so I know what to buy! HA HA!!!

  37. David

Can you use the $4 Extra Bucks to buy another one at $3.99, or do you need the pre-tax total greater or equal to the Extra Bucks amount?

  38. Aimee

In my area, (Ann Arbor, MI) the Shick is ringing up at $3.89 so $4.23 with tax. I was able to use the $4 ECB and pay .23 cents. The Skintimate is ringing up at $3.59 so after coupon, $3.04, I would add something for .99 cents and then pay .25 cents and get back a $4 ECB.

  39. Heather

Well I ran out last night after seeing this post and got 4 cans paid a little over $6.00 and got back $16.00 in ECB loving it thought about going back today and tryin another CVS:)

  40. pam

Today is Tuesday, a brand new day. Is the deal still working?? Has anyone tried this today???

  41. Michelle

It worked for me in GA. I bought 2 cans of the Schick Sensitive. Thank you! This turned my $87 transaction into a $2 money maker 🙂

  42. Kristie

Worked in Baltimore on the pink shaving cream cans. I got 2 of them and the cashier even knew the ECB’s deal! Got them today!

    • Stephanie

I just went to the CVS in Harbor East, Baltimore and bought 2 pink shave cream cans with $2 off peelies, but no ECB’s printed. Fortunately, I had a previous ECB for $3 and so got the 2 cans for .62. Would have been nice if $8 ECB printed out…oh well. Still happy for the price I paid.

  43. Aimee

    Still working in Michigan.

  44. Melissa

So I went to CVS this morning and check they had several different kinds of this and when I checked out my 12 didnt print. The cashier went and checked the tags and said yeah that is off bc It states when you buy any Schick shave product you get 4 back so she manually did mine. 🙂 She left tags up, they was she talked its an unadvertised sale that they do occasionally on items. 🙂

  45. mEL

No shelf tags at my store and when I checked the price, they were all reg. price so I didn’t even try.

  46. Jamie S.

I went this morning at got the Schick hydro gel and the Skintimate. No peelies but did happen to get a $1 off 1 skintimate in the paper.
It only printed ECB for the Schick but didn’t have time to ask about the Skintimate ECB.

  47. Dee Dee

Did this deal at the Robbinsdale, MN store. Got 2 dry skin pink skintimates and got $8 ECB in one transaction. The cashier said I was lucky because she really wasn’t supposed to allow me to use my 2 $0.55 off coupons. She stated that since the coupons say “one coupon per purchase” that I could only use one coupon total. I explained to her that it meant one per can and she said that was fraud. I asked the manager and he agreed. Yet they still took both coupons !!!! I went to another CVS and was told I was using my coupons correctly. What a day. Well, at yet one more CVS they had the shock hydro sensitive but it did not produce the ECB. Her printer had no paper though and she had to load it so I don’t know if that caused the ECB not to print? All in all I came out ahead so I guess no worries right?

    • Sarah K

I had this issue at one store in my area and in looking for a link to the coupon policy found this:

      Q. Does CVS/pharmacy allow more than 1 coupon to be used per transaction?
      Hide Answer

      A. Yes. CVS/pharmacy allows ONE CVS/pharmacy and ONE third party manufacturer coupon per item. A transaction is defined as the entirety of purchases on a single receipt. ExtraBucks® Rewards coupons can be applied toward the final cost. Normal exclusions apply. See the bottom of the ExtraBucks® Rewards coupon for details. Note: Coupons cannot be applied to a “free” item.

It seemed to explain the transaction vs. purchases thing pretty well! The only caveat is that but about a coupon cannot be applied to a “free” item– I guess they haven’t updated everything to match the new coupon policy yet! Here’s the link:
      https://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/help/contact-us-faqs.jsp?type=store&topicid=200018
(it’s under “what kind of coupons does CVS accept?”)

  48. Dee Dee

    Oops …. Schick not shock

  49. Shena

Is this deal dead now? I went to my local CVS was able to score 7 of them. This was at 10am. My friend went to the same CVS at 11am bought the exact ones I did and didn’t receive the ecb’s…..

    • Kristie

I posted above at 7:45 am and got the pink cans with the ECB. I passed another CVS down the road so I stopped and got the men’s cans listed sensitive and NO ECB printed when purchased. I will just return them on Sunday when I go back for my weekly trip.
