My Target in Southern Cali would not allow a coupon for the Gold Bond. Said the policy doesn’t allow coupons on trail sized item unless specific sizes were mentioned. I didn’t have time to argue. So be warned.
my target today told me that they dont allow coupons that make an item free. i had 5 of the $3 Iams, a $1 cascade no size limit from the P&G home mailer(for the 97 cent trail packs) and 3 of the $1.50 iams coupons for the wet canned dog food. they wouldnt et me use ANY. pretty sure they were making that bogus rule up because i’ve gotten free things with there before.
the manager tried lecturing me that the $3 Iams wasnt intended for the $3 trial bag so i wasnt allowed to use it unless i bought the big bag cuz using the coupons i had i “was stealing from the store and making them lose money and frauding the companies that put out the coupons” ridiculous. needless to say he drew way too much attention to the situation and it was the most embarrassing trip i have ever had. 🙁

I’m so sorry that happened to you! I’m always worried that that is going to happen to me. How can a store accuse you of stealing money when they are getting the money back from the manufacturer? So silly. Anyhow, I hope you have a wonderful evening and that you don’t let this get you down. I’ll send out some good vibes to you tonight.
That is awful Kate! I would call customer service…no one should ever be made to feel that they are stealing. The manager and cashier need training on treating a valued customer with respect!

Im so sorry that happened to you. Ive used the 3.00 off iams before and have never had a problem infact, i ordered 30 more coupons and each monday after they had gotten a truck sunday id go over before they even open to assure myself that id walk out with a few… all i had to do was do different transactions. But then again im in NH. Still I worry about that myelf all the time anywhere I got that makes the product free. I would call the 1800 number and compain or get the right information. That way you know if its true or not. Im sure the coupons people that post things making them free would not post if they knew it would happen.

I went to target yesterday and found physician formula blush marked down to $3 from $10, also found 2pk nature made (multi, omega 3,6,9, vit c) marked down to $5 from $10, used the $3/2 Q, paid $2 for each 2pk. They also had valentine chocolate boxes for $0.10.
I tried to use the Gold Bond coupon for the freebie today and the cashier wouldn’t let me – will try a different store tomorrow – YMMV

The anytizers at my Chattanooga, TN target are not buy 2 get one free 🙁 But my store does allow coupons to make items free!
