I’m not sure the Dollar General would work since the coupon is for one laundry detergent and one Clorox 2 item. Dryer sheets are not considered “detergent”.

i printed the coupon out and was wondering the same thing. I’m going shopping tomorrow with my mom and i am gonna go to DG and try it. The wrost they can say is no. lol The coupon just says on any size all laundry and clorox2 product so I sort of take it as any laundry product which fabric softner is actually a laundry item. so, i dunno. hmmmmm 🙂

So I’m thinking since it didn’t say “detergent” then it should work? However, you may have trouble since the picture shows a bottle of liquid detergent. I may try it later today and will come back and post my results. Fingers crossed 🙂

It will work at DG, because the coupon just says “laundry” on it, and nothing about detergent. There is also a $5 off $25 coupon for DG that’s valid tomorrow only.
I’m going to look for the All Pacs at my walmart and use the $1 off any one all might pacs coupon I have, making it $.97 for 10 loads of laundry!

I just got back from DG, they allowed me to use the coupons. Really, I think this coupon is gonna depend on the clerk or manager on duty; the clerk rang me up with the help of another associate, but as I was leaving the manger walked up wondering what was taking so long and I believe he was debating with them whether or not they should have in fact let me use the coupon. One thing I would recommend is handing the clerk your coupons before the end(otherwise it will take you forever to check out) I don’t think the DG’s bar code scanner is updated therefore they have to enter every coupon manually. All and All I am very grateful for a site like this! I was happy to get this deal! Thanks Collin!
You are right… usually when I do multiple items at the Dollar General and have coupons, I either do different transactions or I let the cashier scan the item and take the coupon for the item. For example… Back last year when the Nivea body washes were on unadvertised sale for 2.00 and there were 2.00 coupons, I told the cashier we could do this one of two ways… I told them either scan the item and then the coupon after each item or do different transactions… I told them I didn’t mind doing whatever way was the easiest for them. If you buy multiple numbers of the same item their system acts like you only purchased one and will beep on the rest of the coupons for the like items. Their system is just old I guess because their cash registers still look like the old black and orange computer screens.
I just got back from Dollar General and the deal worked just fine. The coupons scanned with no problem and the clerk thought it was a pretty cool deal 🙂
just came home from walmart and they didnt have any clorox 2 stain pens:( i looked everywhere
I bought clorox 2 spray ( which I actually use) I paid $2.83 for that. So a little more but for me it was worth it!
Last night coupons.com was also printing another clorox coupon- $1/1 any clorox 2 product. Maybe you can find it and get some more spray! 🙂
My WalMart had an empty self with a clearance tag for the Clorox 2 pens and none of the All. Will have to try DG.
Looks like not all Dollar General’s carry these – no luck here in a small town in Wisconsin. However, I did get the Arm & Hammer Crystal Burst laundry power paks with the “pink peelie” to send in for a full refund (Try One Free).

tried to do this deal at DG but came across a cashier who swore i couldn’t use the coupon because i didn’t have the items in the picture, i proceeded to tell her why she was wrong and asked for my coupons back. i knew i wasn’t gonna win but still wanted to rub it in her face 🙂
I was given a really hard time at DG trying to do this deal. Also, they didn’t let me use a store coupon ($5 off $25) and manufacturer coupons because they said that would be considered getting a double discount. Very frustrating!
DG’s coupon policy states that you can use a DG and M coupon on the same item, so that should not be an issue. I have run into problems with their 5/25 coupon because it now discounts every item which won’t allow any DG stacking to occur. This is new since early this year. Prior to that I never had a problem.
Where are you finding the 10 pk of ALL? I looked in the detergent aisle, but our WM had none that small.

I went to my walmart and found the 2 pack 32 load all detergent with fabric sheet and a laundry bag for $5. I grabed a clorox2 pen for $2.50 uses my $3 coupon and paid only $4.50 for it all. 🙂
Paige- I just went to my Dollar General and used manf. coupons and the 5 off 25. They let me?? Must depend on the clerk.
Tried this deal in Flint, MI at walmart but the allpacs were 4.97, not 1.97 🙁 So I passed it up
I did this deal at DG last night and it worked bu it really depends on the cashier. He was nice when it beeped and typed it in. I don’t think it is right that a cashier can dictate whether you use a coupon or not. We aren’t trying to steal anything and “the store” gets their money back. I don’t understand why these cashiers get irritated when you want to use a coupon, what difference does it make to them? Sunday I was in a WM in another town and had 5 coupons. The clerk just looked at me and rolled her eyes when I handed them to her, she said “If it beeps, I’m not taking it” I said, “ok, just try it” I think she deliberately scanned the wrong bar code or did it crooked so it would beep. I told her to get her manager and the (CSM) manager wouldn’t even look at my coupons and just kept shaking her head and saying if it don’t scan we don’t take it, the whole time she was walking towards the register! I was so mad, I left all my stuff and will never go back in that WM, but I guess that would make these cashier’s happy, just don’t understand it!
I understand your frustration completely. Walmart has a great coupon policy but the employees are afraid to take them. I went a couple weeks ago with $8 off any iams cat food, with other things to take up the overage, i was also price matching and all my coupons were scanning with no problem. Needless to say after 45 minutes and the cashier calling her manager twice then finally having her come over, I walked out the door spending .25 cents. The cashier kept appologizing saying im sorry but if we are $5 short or $10 over on our drawer we our given a white slip and it could be a pink slip. So basically walmart has an awesome coupon policy but has their employees scared to lose their job over taking a coupon they shouldnt have.
I know walmart has a limit on the dollar amount. If it exceeds the purchase price or hit’s a certain dollar amount they must call the CSM over to verify and approve them. I have gotten to know all the CSM’s at my local walmart and I don’t normally have a problem.
Just so you know, I went to Dollar General and used this coupon and bought one All fabric softener sheets for $1.50 and one Clorox 2 stain remover for $2.50. Total of$4.00. The coupon scanned WITH NO PROBLEM. The cashier looked surprised but it went through fine 🙂
