Wowser!  If you’re in the market for a new MP3 player, you better put on your shoes and run on over to your local CVS!  Reader Monica emailed me to let me know that the Craig 4GB MP3 Players that are listed in the weekly ad for $49.99 (regularly $79.99!) are ringing up for ONLY $9.99!

Even sweeter, whenever you purchase one MP3 Player, you’ll get back a $10 CVS CashCard!  WOW!

My Sidekick, Mary, found these MP3 players behind the CVS counter, so be sure to ask an employee if you can’t find them.  Even sweeter, the limit is 2… so you can buy two for a total of $19.98 and get back a $20 CVS CashCard!  What a HOT deal! 😀

Also, if you’re looking to snag inexpensive Easter basket fillers or birthday party gifts/favors, you may want to check out the selection of Zhu Zhu Pets and Accessories on sale for 75% off!  Even sweeter, all of the Zhu Zhu pets and Accessories appear to be ringing up for ONLY $1, making some items discounted even more than 75% off!  Keep in mind that there may not be a large selection of these items left, but it’s definitely worth checking out.

And finally, if your CVS carries the Cherry variety of Ocean Spray juice (my Sidekick Mary’s store didn’t 🙁 ), you may be able to score 2 FREE juices!  Here’s how…

* Ocean Spray 64 oz juice Buy 1 Get 1 FREE
Use the Buy One Cranberry juice Get One FREE Cherry juice coupon found here
Final cost 2 for FREE!

What other bargains have you found at CVS today?  Please share! Thanks! 😀

  3. lena

I just got 2 from one store and 2 at another. I also, explained the deal to 3 other people and the cashier in case they chose to do so. Times are hard and these deals are great for christnas. Also, they had zhu zhu sets for $1.00!! Thanks for the early Christmas gifts Collin.

    • Krystal

unless you only got 2 cash cards, you are only meant to have one cvs card. it is a limit one per household, by having a second one you are violating your agreement with cvs when you got the card.

  4. stephanie m

worked in Noblesville, IN (they had a TON in stock tonight too.. just got back with my 2)

  5. AJ

Argh…cashier said they sold out an hour ago and they probably won’t get anymore in. Oh well. Thanks for posting this deal!

  6. Sue

Talked to the manager b/c they pulled them from the shelves. He said Corporate contacted them and told them to take them off the shelves until they fix the glitch. The price will be $9.99 but with no $10 back. He said I could come in now and get one for $9.99 but won’t get the $10 back. Still not a bad deal.

  7. Becky

Not only did we get 2 but with the CVS bucks we got a lightblast projector for tax only! $1.50 Awesome! Thanks, Collin!

  9. Deana

WooHoo…Just scored two this afternoon in Dallas, Tx.!

  10. JE

Is this only working on the 4.3 inch screen? Are the smaller 4GB MP3s ringing up at $9.99, also?

    • Tracey

Yes they are also $9.99 I got 2!

  11. Carla

I got 2 MP3’s in Cleveland Ohio (and they were marked 9.99)… thanks!!! And with the 10 gift card left, I scored a vivitar camcorder normally 59.99!! 2MP3’s and a camcorder for 10 plus tax!! whoo hoo…

    • Mary

      Hi Carla,

      Where in Cleveland? Thanks

  12. ProudMama

Working here in Central CA – great deal, got 2.

  13. Ruth

I purchased 2 @ 9.99 but the cashier did not give back the $10 card (trashed them) said there on sale and could not give them to me.. But still a good price…..

    • Dana

I bet she trashed them!! She probably activated them for herself after you left!! Ridiculous!!

      • Sarah

Yeah that’s not really her call….

      • Krystal

she can’t do that, your cvs card is needed in order to redeem it

    • lovedeals

      You should complain to corporate.

    • AG

Definitely complain. Cashiers are NOT supposed to do that.

    • Ruth

UPDATE…..I contacted corporate this morning. I didn’t really think I would be contacted boy was I wrong. Received a call 5 hours after I place the call . To go pick up my money cards… I was shocked to see who handed them to me, the same cashier that trashed them to being with…. I had a big smile on my face … Sweet revenge….

  14. barbie

YAY! GOT ONE! THANKS SO MUCH!

  15. Cheryl G

Got the players and the Zhu Zhu accesories. Awesome deal!

  16. AJ

I called another store and she said they just got an email from headquarters that there was a mistake in the system and it will probably be resolved by tomorrow morning. So if you have some put on hold, you might want to call in the morning to see how they are ringing up before you drive out.

  17. Cheryl

Mine had the $9.99 clearance tags on them. So doesn’t seem to be an error. It was such a hot deal rushed down and was in my PJs and uncombed hair 🙂

    • Cassy

      LoL.. too funny!!

    • Tina

      LOL!!! So did I Cheryl!!!

  18. Jenny

I am so lucky to get one b/c at my CVS are out!!!

  19. elaine

Sent my husband in and they were out. The cashier told him he had called his wife to come in and buy them all. She was also going to the other CVS stores in town to get more. No wonder they are always out by the time I get there!!

    • Krystal

one of the perks of being an employee

  20. Ilona

Got the last one in Asheboro, NC. Only paid 2.69 since I had $8 in CVS bucks that were expiring Got the $10 gift card back 🙂

  21. Savings Viking

I got it! I got it!

I NEVER get in on these deals, but because they had sodas on sale I decided to try it.

It was a HUGE run-around with the cashier/manager. It took me *2* hours at CVS, but I walked out with 2 almost free mp3 players! The cashier/manager grabbed the last 2 on the shelf. Talk about a good deal; I spent $44 total and walked out with (2) mp3 players, (1) large baby formula, (1) pack pullups, (1) pack of Zyrtec and (5) 12pks of soda, with $10 in ECB to use next week. Happy!

    • Savings Viking

Oh, and mine printed with the $10 CVS cash, but for some reason the CVS cash wouldn’t credit to my account. The manager had to do an override/store coupon for the amount on my final transaction, so I did get the amount off in the end. Phew! What a good evening, though!

      • Donna Mc.

The $10 Coupon is for a cash card… I interpret that as gift card for CVS. I got two of these tonight and the cashier whipped out the cards and did them for me really fast. He said there was $10 on each card and gave me the receipts showing such. So I can use them the next time I shop.

I wasn’t going to do this deal if it was a computer glitch, because I would have felt horrible, but when I saw the photo showing they had signage made up for this price and it said “WoW”… then it wasn’t a computer glitch, but actual clearance. The ones at the store that I went to were coated in dust too, -thick dust- (they were behind the counter, by the cartons of cigarettes, so I honestly think they are trying to clear these out. Nobody should feel horrible for getting in on this deal.

        • Sherry

My store said the computer glitch was getting the GC promotion. They said they did mark them down to $9.99 to clear out inventory. They said since it was a Sunday they had no way of talking with corporate to fix the problem. I was picking up a lot of clearance anyway for Toys for tots and a local church that I give to on a regular basis. After she told me of the glitch, I myself would not have felt right being handed over a $10 GC. To me its like using a coupon on an item unethically which Collin points out all the time to not do. It’s taking money from a store and that in the end hurts everyone.

  22. Cassy

Yay!!!! I went to the store by my house and a little girl had just brought the last two. Not surprised because I have alot of couponers by me BUT made a trip to Dallas about 20 mins away. I just scored 2 and the cashier knew about the deal and even rung them up separately so I could use the cash card for transaction 1 on transaction 2. Great Deal!!!! Thanks for posting this deal!!

  23. Megan

wahoo!!! got the last one! Thanks Colin (& Mary!)

  24. Sarah

Just got 2 in TX whoohoo!!

  25. Becky M.

I went to 1 CVS out of the 3 closest to me and they didn’t have any. I doubt the others would have but wish I could have gotten this deal. My son scored though. He got 6 zhu zhu pet things for $6 and change. Him and his sister are very happy 🙂

  26. diane

yea i got 4. my cashier said if you have more than one cvs card you can buy two per card. So i got one for my MIL, my mom, my dad and me/my toddler..YAY

    • Krystal

that cashier shouldn’t have told you that, you are only meant to have one cvs card. it is a limit one per household, by having a second one you are violating your agreement with cvs when you got the card. Even though I’m assuming all those people don’t live with you, they should be doing their own shopping…if one customer can’t get away with having two cards for themselves, noone should be getting away with having more than one card no matter their intentions…because let’s face it…people lie…not saying you are…but people lie.

  27. Ragan

Went to the closest CVS to me and they were sold out. One of the cashiers actually volunteered to call around for me. Four, (seriously FOUR!) stores later, he found one that had one left. Thankfully all locations are within a twenty minute drive from me. I’ve never had a cashier go that above and beyond for me but I was so thankful! So, yay, I got one, too!

  28. Karen

OK….not to be a wet blanket…..I have one that won’t turn on/doesn’t seem to be charging? Anyone else? Am hoping that it will charge overnight but the other two show the “charging” pic and this one is doing…..nothing. Was hoping to give one each to my 2 kids and hubbie…….

    • AG

      Karen,

I don’t think you’re a wet blanket. 🙂 It’s a valid question. Craig does not make a quality product. If you read reviews of their products on Amazon they’re almost all universally panned. 🙁

      • Karen

Yep, one is a brick. Totally worthless. I have one working though…..so, yeah! I will try to fire up the 3rd here in a bit. Oh, well!

  29. Kristie

I walked in a saw a lady starting to leave the store with 4 in her bag. Her friend had two in her bag. As she was walking out, she found one on top of a shelf. I walked up to her and asked if I could by that one since she already had 4 and she just smiled and said, “No, that she was going to buy it for her sister.” Well, I walked through the store and I found one just laying there on a shelf. It was as if it was meant to be. I just wanted two for my 4 children to share (after all that was the limit). The cashier called another store and she said she would be nice enough to hold one for me. When I got there the lady in front of me bought the last two and I found out the cashier never put one back for me. I ended up buying the smaller one. I am thankful I was able to get two for my 4 children to share on vacation this summer. Let’s remember to share the deals and be kind to each other. You never know when you will be in this same situation and you would want someone to share with you as well.

    • Shanna

That was just plain mean! When I got to my cvs a ,lady had checked the price but had to get in line behind me, she told the cashier that she wanted 2 and so did I. When I got to the register I asked for 2 but wanted to make sure it was enough for her to get 2. A little bit of kindness!

    • Savings Viking

I agree with the poster below, that was mean. The limit is 2 per household, and if she’s walking out with 4 then she’s violating the limit.

      • Krystal

precisely, this is one of my biggest pet peeves so honestly i probably would’ve said something else to the lady or even informed the cashier that there is a limit for a reason.

    • Pam B

Not that i think she needed four but the limit is not 2 on how many u can buy, its limit 2 on the 10.00 gift cards u get back

  30. ariel

i got the deal but im so afraid they will not honer the gift cards 🙁 like, the last time with the color preference, they gave me the wrong gift card and couldnt activate it so i lost the $10 credit 🙁 still i manged to get the two and had a 4 off 20 sent to my card. so i paid 17 for the two, still great, anyone else get that sort of trouble with the gift card things?

  31. Heather

Anyone in Knoxville, TN try this deal yet? Just curious if they’re any left:)

    • R J

I’m in Sevier County and got TWO!!! Plus I got the $20 gift card and used it on the speakers that you hook up to it! $200 worth of merchandise for less than $40. YAY!!!

    • amanda

  38. erica

i got the deal on the mp3 players thanx hip2save

  39. Lauren

The Craig MP3 players are JUNK. Please don’t give these as gifts. They are cheap, don’t hold battery life, don’t load songs, weigh less than a feather…I’m actually getting mad thinking of the wasted time trying to put life into the thing.

    • tk

good to know, now i feel better about missing out on this deal

  40. chelsee

got them and am trying them out after being yelled at by store clerk on my expedition. went to another store and found two. they looked to be used, so make sure to get the ones in back if you have see on the shelf. just an fyi. still a great deal! there are more left in overland park kansas at the store on mission and 95th and Metcalf. The store clerks were really nice there.

  41. Susan

Just ran to my CVS at 9:30 and bought the last ones they had. The man in front of me really wanted one, so I decided to offer it to him for $10 in the parking lot. He was so appreciative, and I made $10, so I’m a happy camper. Can’t beat an instant sale–didn’t even have to put the work of a yard sale into it!

  42. Kari

Daughter just ran to CVS and scored what they said was the last one available. I am soooooooo excited that we got one. I will head to another CVS over my lunch tomorrow. Hopefully can get another. Would make a great gift! Thanks for the heads up!

    • Lauren

I am telling you…do not give this as a gift…it’s not worth a penny! I am serious! I purchased one in November and they are a joke.

  43. colleen

The stores around me are all out. 🙁 Oh well. Congrats to all who got them.

  44. mommy308

My CVS had their generic Wii type games on clearance for $4.99 and they were originally $60. It’s called Zoom 3D and it comes with 2 controllers, 2 pairs of 3D glasses and it comes loaded with 100 games. The quality isn’t as good as a Wii(of course) but for $5 I could care less. My kids played with it peacefully all day with each other and with their ages ranging from 6 to 15 that’s saying something. So even if it breaks tomorrow I had a very peaceful Sunday. 🙂

    • Katrina

You said it! 5 bucks is cheaper than taking the kids to a movie or arcade 🙂 going to look for this deal tomorrow.

      • mommy308

You got that right. 🙂 They had a bunch at mine. They also had another type for the same price but I thought my kids would enjoy this one more. Hope you find one. 🙂

    • kelly

Thanks for the tip! This might be good to take on vacation over the summer in case of a rainy day! I am headed out tomorrow so hopefully I’ll get some good stuff!

      • mommy308

        You’re Welcome 🙂

  45. Rene

Got so lucky that I was next door yo a CVS and scored 2 mp3’s w/$10 cash bucks back each yey. Thnx u do much hip2save team.

  46. Mel

I GOT ONE!!!!!! THE LAST ONE!!!!!!!!

  47. Jennifer

I got two at a CVS and got back a $20 CVS Cash Cards printed on the receipt. I have a few questions about the CVS Cash Card. Are they actual cards or are they like ECBs? If they are actual cards, can I get them at any CVS or do I have to go back to where I bought the mp3 players to get the Cash Cards? Thanks.

    • dana

go to any cvs and exchange that part of the receipt for 2 $10 gift cards. then use the cards at your leisure – they don’t expire like ecbs

  48. Jodi

Got 2 in Ft. Wayne, IN. Thanks Collin.

  49. Maria T.

Thanks for the heads up! I just got back from getting two of these in Alameda, CA. Our younger daughter is going to be thrilled. She wants music, but I don’t quite trust her with an iPod yet. 😉 I was able to load the $20 back on to my existing CVS gift card that I had from all the other weekly CVS Cash promos. Less individual gift cards and only one balance to worry about makes me much happier.

  50. barbie

I bought one paid for it, and used that cash card to buy the second. that way less money is spent out of pocket. worked great!
