CVS gives you the second one free. The manufacturer coupon gives you the other free.
Bought the very last one the manager said they had. After getting home and opening it, I can tell it is used and it doesn’t seem to hold a charge for more than a minute. Anyone know what happens if I return it? Do they just take it back without a refund or take my gift card or what?
I though they were refurbished ones. But still. They were free anyway can really complain much.
This is the first time I found something on time. I was very happy until I opened it…got 2 but their screens have scratches. I don’t think this is a glitch…they just wanted to get rid of them.
After you peel the sticker off the screen, you also have to peel a clear film off as well. It looks like a scratched screen, but is really the film. Take it off and the screen is unscratched.
Also, the battery in both of the ones I got was uncharged, so you have to charge them for about five hours, from what the instructions said. I had mine charging for an hour so far, and it’s barely got like one bar of battery charge, so it really needs to charge overnight.
I don’t know much about MP3s, but can tell these aren’t the greatest and definitely not worth $50-80, but for free or even $10, these are not bad at all. Definitely great for kids, and for those who lose or break things a lot. 😉
oh my goodness…the same thing happened to me…i bought the last one and it was used..(all scratched up and there was writing all over the manual booklet thing) 🙁
My store didn’t have any left but they had other electronics on clearance with big signs that said NO RETURNS – they must have known there were problems w/ quality.

re the ocean spray, when you use a bogo coupon when there’s already a bogo sale does do you automatically get it for free or does the cashier have to adjust anything? didn’t even know you could do this and was wondering if I could use self checkout for this bc whenever there’s something out of the ordinary it becomes a big hassle with the cashier. thanks!
The store is giving you one free and you are ‘paying’ for the other one with the coupon. The cashier should have to type in the amount of the product after scanning the coupon so self checkout probably won’t work.

Thanks to all of u! I was at cvs at 3pm doing some shopping! The manager wasa marking itemsa down and one item called the Z0NE mark down from 59.99 to $4.99 and a lot of electronics! I wantes the mp3 player! And it was 9.99 I bought 2 and paid with bucks 1.63 and got 2 $10 cash cards whoow I wasn’t expecting this my daughter was with me she bought 2 for her. And I text everybody and within min later more people show up a lot! And I asked how they knew they said hip2save whow! Then I got texts msgs from hip2save friends! I went in to buy these. I still had my $4 off $20 they rang up $9.99 and i was able to use my $4off coupon. So I bought 2! Basically got paid $4 to buy them! I thought i would be nice and pay the difference for a couple who couldn’t afford the full cost of the diapers ($.83) then at the light the same guy asked if I had a cigarette! ugh I guess I wasted my 1 good dead of the year on the wrong couple. 🙁 at least the baby has diapers though….

Haha. I DO judge people. We all do! I dont want to give to people who smoke and waste that money they clearly need for their kids. 1 good deed every few years really. Why you ask? Because every time I do something like this happens. Well, mostly that is sarcastic. I will help kids but not useless adults.
I found three-drawer plastic shelves (on rollers) which are no normally $24.99 (bought one at Lowe’s before @ that price!) for a little over $6 because it was 75 percent off. I bought two to store my couponing stash in!

Just went and picked up the last two large ones. Rang up 9.99 each plus used coupon for 4 off 20 so got both of them for 17.03 with tax included then I got the 20 card from cvs for buying them so ultimately I was paid 3.97 for buying them. Lol

Some lady here in Tucson went to all CVS and snagged all of their mp3 players, the lady at the register over at the CVS near to my house told me when I went to buy the coke on sale and hopefully one of the mp3 players, that’s a big bummer, I only wanted one, to give away as a birthday gift, I am so dissapointed, don’t people feel bad about doing this?

Thank you so much for posting this deal. Unfortunately I saw a side of people that makes me very frustrated. I called and asked to put one on hold, they had three by the way, the lady said oh wow they are only 9.99. I went straight there, maybe 10 minutes later. They were all gone. I told them I put one on hold, and she said oh well let me check the back I think it’s there. She said oh uh well I don’t know what happened to it. The second CVS I went to said they had just sold out. As I was asking an employee of the store was buying one and walked out with the MP3 player in their hand. It was really upsetting to see that…I feel like when I called earlier some of the employees just put them in the back for themselves…Is anyone else feeling the same way as I am?
It’s not uncommon for the employees to bait and switch like this, especially after seeing the price.
There is a Rule One sanctioned on another major deal site that focuses on these like products. That rule is “Never call.” When one does this, it screws everyone else out of the chance to get one. Find out any which way you can aka online price checkers or any stock check access method you have at your disposal, but never ever, ever, EVER call. This is what happens. And then they call all of their other employee friends in that store and their friends in other local stores, and bam, you know first hand.
But then again, people are not very nice to retail employees. I have a feeling hip2savers are good people, but in a sense don’t feel too bad because even though they don’t deserve it in the way that it happened, they kinda don’t know of any other way of niceity because most likely, this is what they would see others do unto them. It’s a shame it happened to one of us tho, if it’s any consolation, the 2.8 inch mp3 player is kinda cheap feeling in the hand. Really light and plasticy..
Odd because most major retail stores have rules against employees doing that. If they get caught doing this they get fired. It’s like insider trading. The employee has an unfair means and advantage. Depends on the chain but corporate is pretty darn strict about this stuff.

I would call management or corporate on this one. If an employee agreed to set one aside for you and then proceeded to buy it or sell it to a coworker, that is very poor service and downright selfish. They are not placing the customer first.
I do agree with the previous comment, though. We had a similar problem when there was an amazing clearance on a digital camera at Staples and we called to check stock, accidentally alerting the staff that then proceeded to buy the last camera.

NO LONGER allowing these to be on shelf at my store in FL… turns out the $9.99 was a computer glitch! Check with your stores before heading out so you don’t make a wasted trip!!!! I was able to get the last 2 being sold though 🙂
It is no glitch. My store clearly had the signs up and i even spoke to a manager at one of the stores. They were clearancing them out to get rid of.

I was able to get one of these in the Scranton, PA area. I was told that other stores in the area had some, but they were closed for the night by the time I found out about the deal. These might not be the best MP3 players, but you can’t beat free for something to throw in your purse and not worry about it getting ruined!
I just used my Bogo Q’s for Ocean Spray at Target, they were buy 2 get 1, so with q I got buy 1 get 2. I just asked for another to be mailed, hopefully it will come, so I can get 2 more free.
I bought the one last semi opened 4.3 at my closest CVS, and then the 2.8 at my second closest. The 2.8 is pretty cheap feeling lightweight but still thcicker than my old smartphone.. But the 4.3 is pretty nice! It’s metal on the back and has a nice hand feel to it. Even has a nice drawstring bag that cleans it as you put it in and take it out. And even a cord to hang on your neck. Thanks Coll! Luv ya! ^_^
And funny no one has said it yet, but I went and used the first CVS CashCard to make my second purchase and only spent the $0.86 cents on it for tax and getting another card too! YMMV. I didn’t even think if there could be an issue of it not printing out another but it did for me so yaay!!

O and on the first store they had 3and this lady took then, i thought they had a limit of 2? O well can’t believe people sometimes can be so greety, i only needed one for my 11 year old, i was thinking of giving it to her as a prize for getting a 4.0 gpa in school. I got 2 today. The first CVS didnt have any left. The second one had several – the smaller ones. They were in the audio-video aisle, not behind the counter.
They also had several other electronics on clearance: dvd player for $10, portable tvs for $10, different game consoles and projectors for $20.
We’ve been looking at projectors ever since they ere $100 and they put them on clearance after Christmas for $75. So now we got very excited to get it for $20. We were told that the sale was final, but what we were not told was that the product was defective. So basically I just wasted $20. There is also a label inside the box that said do not contact the store in case of problems. Contact the manufacturer, so I will tomorrow, but I dont have high hopes.

I got a MP3 player but only because when I asked about it, the cashier said she they only had 4 for the day and a lady before me asked to buy them all and told the cashier about the deal. Well the cashier said the customer could only have a limit of 1. Then the cashier further told me that her and the manager put up the other 3 for themselves to get later but I could have one since I am always such a nice customer…I was like…ummm..thank you? I can’t believe she even told me all that. At least she should have given the other lady 2 instead of 1. I was just happy to get 1 but that was crazy.
I just purchase 2 of the mp3 players. I bought one for myself (got the cash card) then one as a gift for someone else (used the cash card and paid 74 cents, I left with a $10 cash card. Thank you so much for telling us about this. 🙂 I finally have an mp3 player and it only cost me $.74 each for tax after using the card.

The manager at our CVS told us the assistant manager had pulled them off the shelf and is refusing to sell them, At our other CVS we did manage to get some but the store manager came and pulled the rest off the shelf to buy for himself according to him.
Just went to CVS and at first they thought it must be in the wrong place but the price scan showed it as $9.99. They wouldn’t give it to me for that price because they said it was a price mistake 🙁 Oh well…worth a shot anyway.
I charged the MP3 all night, and downloaded about 50 songs to it. Yet it tells me “No File!” I also downloaded some photos, and i can’t get those to come up either. I can’t get it to do anything! I feel like I have wasted a lot of time on this device and I think it may be defective. Does anyone know how to make this device play? It doesn’t have a “play” button.
Have you tried resetting it? The 4.3 seems to have issues but the smaller 2.8 one seems to have an easier time.
Go into “File List” and try poking around in there and going to your file. Sometimes that’s all it needs to initialize it.
Also I’m assuming you downloaded it into the actual flash of the device and are not using a flash card in the slot right? Because I did that at first but it seemed to not like that so much..
