How does the Trend Micro coupon work? I’m on the final page of checkout where you enter your credit card info and it’s still saying, “Coupon not yet applied.” I don’t want to enter my info unless I’m sure the charge will be $0.00. Has anyone completed the transaction? When do they apply the coupon? Why do they wait until the very end to apply it? Any info is appreciated. Thanka.
I’m having the same problem. When I looked at the coupon “restrictions”, it says that its not valid on downloadable software. In that case, the coupon would only work if you purchase the actual box/software CD. However, then you’d have to pay shipping charges… 🙁

I read the fine print on coupons and it says, “Not valid on downloadable software, services, business service provider or custom–printing service provider web sites, gift cards or postage stamps.” So maybe it’s not valid on this purchase?

I contacted Staples support through chat and they were able to place the order for the Trend micro antivirus for me at NO CHARGE!
Did you get charged then have to get refunded? Thats what the lady just told me on live chat?
i called and the lady from staples told me the system is reading that they are out of stock so it won’t go through. She said I should try again a bit later.
I called back after seeing Collins note on having to have something in your cart to get the antivirus free and the lady put the order through no problem with the trash bags and antivirus. So $5 and some change for both items total and picking it up at Staples. yay!

Yeah I am not getting the discount either on the free downloadable version of the antivirus software….I Just did the live chat with Staples and the lady said that she would refund the full amount after i purchased it? It IS for the downloadable version! She also said that she was sending this issue to the Help desk to get the coupons issue resolved. So if you really want this, just chat live with the customer service folks. Hope this helps!

I purchased 2 of the trash bags above and added the downloadable version of the software.
Before the coupon my total was $45.97 and after the coupon my total was $10.78 with free shipping to my home.
I went to staples and added the trash bags and then I went to the hip2save post and added the antivirus program and at the end of the checkout staples applied the coupon for the Free antivirus download. I also went to the shopathome link to get the extra discount.
I used $24 in staples rewards that were due to expire at the end of this month, in combination with the $5 off coupon code above (87397, $5 off $25 purchase) to have 6 boxes (300 bags) delivered to my Staples store for under a dollar!!! Whoohooo!!!
