I am tickled to see this great price on fresh shrimp. And to have them steam it-perhaps with a little Old Bay or Blackened seasoning-divine!
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!!! If you’re as concerned about this pink slime business as I am, be sure to stock up on USDA Certified Organic ground beef/sirloin, etc. while at Whole Foods. This is the only kind you can feel assured there has been NO pink slime added to the meat. Word to the wise.
I believe that the same is true of Publix as far as the “pink slime” goes.
Well said!
A sale on shrimp! On my birthday! How did they know?! Mmmmmmmm!
Happy Birthday! 😀
This is a fantastic price on these shrimp which are flash frozen within hours of harvest — without preservatives. And, it’s true about the “pink slime” – Whole Foods has never had it. I don’t eat meat anymore but if I did, I would only buy it from Whole Foods. But I do eat shrimp occasionally so I’m gonna score some of these tomorrow!
These are frozen Georgia shrimp 36-40 count and they will peel for $1.99 per pound
