Liz I live in FL too and have the same problem. At/After Christmas, stores sell Nestle Toll House Mint Chocolate chips! I got several bags on clearance for $1.25 a bag in early January.

I have ordered from Prepared Pantry several times – and while their products really are great, their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! My orders didn’t come when promised (I had to wait over 30 days for an order and when I asked was told it was a problem on their end).
The prices are really good, but if you are looking for something in a timely manner or good customer service, there are other places.

I got these the last time this company had a promo – they are good but they are STRONG!!! You need to really like mint!
Can’t wait to make mint chocolate chip ice cream! I also bought a few other things to try. I save ALL my “chips” in Mason/Kerr jars that is vacuum sealed to make them last up to 5 yrs. The normal shelf life is 1-2 yrs after you buy them in the store, I’m not sure what the shelf life is buying from this company. If you keep the chips in the regular packing, over time the chips look lighter and taste changes. The color and taste stays the same in my jars, but longer.
I only buy chocolate products that have cocoa as the 1st ingredient and that do not contain hydrogenated oils. By the way great tip Nicole.
