Do you have a vacation planned this summer?! If so, you’ll want to be sure to check out Smart Destination Go Cards as these cards can save you money on some of the nation’s top attractions in select cities across the country. Even better, through July 12th, you can save 15% off on all 3, 5 and 7-Day Go City Cards plus FREE Ground Shipping when you enter code HIP2SHIP.

Here’s how it works:

* Go here and select your destination city. At this time, the available cities are Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Oahu, Orlando, San Diego, and San Francisco.

* You’ll then need to choose between an all-inclusive card or a card that will get you into select attractions only. (In most cases, the all-inclusive card is cheaper, even if you only select a few attractions).

* Click on Buy Now to the right of the screen. Select the number of adult tickets and child tickets you would like as well as the number of days you would like the pass to be good for (choose from 1-7 days) and head to checkout. The 15% off will automatically be shown in your cart if you have selected a 3, 5 or 7-Day Go City Card.

* Then just pack your bags and be sure to take your cards with you on your vacation! You’ll receive free admission to all participating attractions. If you have selected more than a one day pass, it will become activated the first day you use it and will be valid for the number of days you have selected within a 2 week period. For example, if you purchase a 3 day Go Card and use it for the first time on a Monday, you will be able to use it on any 2 additional days during the following 2 weeks.

Check out some of the comments from Hip2Save readers who have used these cards recently…

My family and I used the Boston card and we had a blast. We really got good value for our money. We visited Six Flags and Sturbridge Village (not in Boston), great attractions with expensive entrance fees. We also used the Trolley, the USS constitution, visited the Aquarium, etc.

I have used the Boston and Chicago cards in the past, and we loved them. I would definitely use these again for any trip to one of their destinations!

We used these in Boston for our honeymoon and it was awesome! I didn’t feel bad if we didn’t stay somewhere very long, and we definitely got our money’s worth out of them. The 3,5, and 7 had a freebie bonus, too…we took a lunch harbor cruise.

We used the GO Chicago Card last summer and had a blast. Things in Chicago were a lot more expensive than we had thought and we were really glad we had the 3 day pass. I’ll say good things about the company as well – we made a mistake with the shipping and the customer service department helped us get the cards in market, right near our hotel – super helpful. We’ll try it again when we go to Boston in August.

Smart Destination’s Risk Free 365 Day Return Policy: If for any reason you don’t get to activate and start using your card (i.e. your vacation gets canceled, you get sick etc.), they will refund the full cost of any unactivated passes bought from SmartDestinations.com for one year from the purchase date. No questions asked; no cancellation fees; and, they don’t charge extra for trip insurance or charge restocking fees. You just call the Customer Satisfaction Team at 800-887-9103 for your choice of refund or replacement passes of equal value in any of their destination cities.

Special Note: There are some restrictions on the card, so please be sure to read through the rules before purchasing. Cards are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold. Some attractions have have a 3 hr. symbol on their page, meaning once you visit the attraction, you have to wait three hours before your card is valid at another attraction that has that same symbol. For example, if you visit the San Diego Zoo at 9am, you won’t be able to get into SeaWorld or LegoLand until noon.

We have used the Go Card in Oahu and just a few weeks ago Los Angeles. It was a great value and has a lot of the items you are probably already going to be doing. With the LA pass you got free admission (up to 3 days) into Universal Studios which is where we stayed anyways. Admission to the park is normally $80 and most of the studio tours are at least $40-$50 a piece. I would highly recommend and Ebates also has cash back for booking.

I used this card in Boston back in 2005. I went with a group of 10 friends and we all thought the card was well worth the $. We got into a lot of places and we got a few discounts on meals. It worked esp. well for a large group where we all wanted to go to some places but not everyone wanted to go to others. The card had something for everyone.

Note some of these destinations are hours apart. I live in Palm Beach County where Lion Country Safari (LCS) is. Both the Orlando and Miami cards have it listed. LCS is nearly 3 hrs from Orlando and close to 2 hrs from Miami. Likewise, Kennedy Space Center is on the East coast of FL (Brevard County, Cape Canaveral), not in the center of the state where Orlando is. If you bought the Miami pass you would have at least a 4 hr drive north to Kennedy Space Center. So do your research on distances before you choose the number of days. If you choose one day, some of these attractions could not all be done in one day and most likely in FL you’d need more than one hotel. Its roughly 8 hrs from Jacksonville FL to the FL Keys, its a BIG state! I’m not sure why they put some of these attractions on city cards that are hours apart…

I used one when I visited San Fransisco a few years ago and it was AMAZING!

If you only want to purchase the two day you can use SUMMERFUN which will give you 12% off.

      • Abby

Can you use that for the three day one too?

We used last year in Chicago – saved us a ton of money and a ton of time – we did not have to wait in any lines at all – buy it!

Colin, there is no place to enter the HIP2SHIP code… or any code for that matter. It just gives the different prices for shipping options. I don’t want to finish the checkout process unless I see a place to enter “HIP2SHIP” or “SUMMERFUN”. Can you use SUMMERFUN on top of the 15% off sale? Help?

    • Pia

      Hi Abby,

When you get to check out there will be a link that says “I have a Promotion Code.” Once you enter in the code the shipping will be deducted.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Thanks,
      The Smart Destinations Team
