Hey guys! Didn’t know where to post this-a lot of blogs won’t let me?! But anyways, last Sunday I think, there was a $1/1 Colgate coupon, and unfortunately I only got the 35 or 50 cent ones. We use these coupons for free toothpaste for our church’s operation christmas child shoeboxes! (its actually my senior project this year) and If youve never heard of it you should check into its cause it’s awesome! It’s fun, easy, a great cause, BUT can be expensive. And I was wondering if anyone has any extra Colgate coupons I could get from you. I’m not asking for you to just give them to me, but I will trade you or pay you “to cut them out for me:)” I buy some on eBay but they get pretty pricey. Anyways I really appreciate If Anyone would like to help us out! Thanks in advance!-KRIS10

    • Natasha

this is a little crazy but call your local recycling center and ask if you can dig through the newspaper bins! Me and my mom go to ours once a week and usually get A LOT of coupons! But my mom did call to ask for permission and they said that as long as we didnt crawl in that we could! So call and see if yours would allow the same!

      • Kristen

I’m open to anything!! 🙂 thanks for the tip and I will definitely look into it

      • Kristen

i actually volunteer at an adoption center/ animal clinic and they get all the extra Sunday papers and they can’t use the slicky coupon inserts cuz they’re not absorbent so I get to keep them lol

    • Janelle

Sorry I don’t have any to share but what an awesome project!

    • Diane

      Hi Kirsten,
Could you please e-mail me with more info about your project? Thanks!
      bkittie at hotmail.com

    • Teresa

Have you asked your local dentist to donate some items like toothpaste and tooth brushes or dental floss? I have, with great success in simular projects. Likewise, doctor’s offices get tons of free samples and may have so items that would be usable. I would suggest asking to speak with office mananger rather than support staff.
Good luck, you are doing something wonderful!

    • Jennifer

I got tons of free toothpaste for Operation Shoebox last year from Rite Aide mostly. I think it was 50 or more tubes. Some cashiers thought it was great and other ones were mad about it even though it was for a good cause. The church was shocked when I brought in bags of it.

    • SanDiegoShopper

I usually get the lower value ones… do you want those too, or just the $1/1 Qs? I didn’t many papers last week, but I’ll see what I have. I’m completely stocked on toothpaste, so I don’t need them.

      • Kristen

I will take anything..I was looking for the $1/1 but any ones will help! If you want you can email me at kristensteele28@yahoo.com! Thank you so much

    • Michelle Teramani

      Kristen,
I usually collect about 10 to 15 papers per week. If i come across any coups they are yours, no need to trade or pay:) And i would like to find out more about your project!! I am a office manager for a dental office in illinois and we do donate samples and brushes (although the brushes are imprinted with our office info). Lemme know………….. email me at mteramani@aol.com. 🙂

    • Lindsey

      Kristen,
This is so awesome of you to do! I only get the lower value coupons but I can give you those if you would like. Just email me at LCSweepin@gmail.com so I can know where to send the coupons!
      Lindsey

    • Natalie

Kristen, I have about 5-6 extra 1/1$ coupons for you! Just email me your mailing address and I’ll get them out in the mail for you! What a great idea! 🙂 newman.natalie@live.com

  2. emily

For toothpaste does limit 2 mean I can do the deal twice or limit 2 toothpastes?

    • Gaby

Means you can do the deal twice.

    • Susan

You can do the deal twice.

    • marlene

it means limit 2 on the ecbs you can buy more for that price but you will only get the ecbs two times. hope this helps

      • Michelle

I’ve never really shopped at CVS, I’m a Walgreens gal! lol But I might have to drop in for the toothpaste….Can you purchase 4 in one transaction or make 2, like at Walgreens?

        • cdawnt

I’m new with CVS, but I don’t think transactions make any difference. They track you by your CVS card and you have to use your CVS card to get the deal. That’s the only thing I don’t like so far about CVS, cause I might have multiple coupons that I want to use, but I’m limited. Guess that means more products are actually in stock when I shop, no “shelf clearers” which is a good thing!

          • lindalee1950

the nice thing about CVS is you get 2% back every 3 months of what you spent at that time. So 4 times a year you get paid for shopping there. That’s why you use your card!!!

          • anna

I RATHER PUT UP WITH CVS THEN TO PUT UP WITH WALGREENS OR RITE AID . YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO “100” TRANSACTIONS TO GET WHAT U WANT.

        • Elizabeth

You can purchase all 4 in one transaction, but know if you do that your ECBs will double…..meaning you’ll get 1 $6 ECB. If you do 2 transactions you’ll get 2 $3 ECB, but at CVS you can roll your ECBs. So do 1 transaction and pay $3 plus tax and do the 2nd use your ECB from tran #1 and pay tax only (if you have the $1 coupons)

          • cdawnt

Can I get an ECB then do another transaction immediately after it and use the ECB that I had just received? I was in there and tried to do that and they said I had to come back another day and use it because their machines don’t recognize the ECB immediately, anyone ever heard of that?

            • Kristen

I have never heard of that!

  3. Butch

on the pampers deal, can you use the $3 off 1 from the 7/1 PG?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I believe that coupon is only valid on the boxes.

      • tjpmyers

I believe it says 1 box or 2 bags … check the wording though. I’m good on pull ups and we are to only using them at night sense LO uses panties now during the day 🙂

        • Misty

I had the same coupon that I used at CVS yesterday. I bought two bags (even though it just said ONE box). I told them I wasn’t sure if it would take or not, but he tried it and it went through without a hitch!

  4. Christina

    Shouldn’t the Pepsi 12 pks be 4/$14?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It looks like the Pepsi deal is regional this week and some areas will have 4/$12 = $2 Ecb and some areas will have 2/$7 = $1 Ecb…so be sure to check your ad! 🙂

  5. Nancy

If I also have a CVS coupon 20% off, do I have to by more than $20 nexus to get $10 ECB? Also, how does the % off coupon work with the $4 off $20?

    • Grace

You have to make sure to read the 20% off requirements. Majority of CVS %off coupons state that they can’t be used on sale items and promotional items. And from what I’ve heard, if the product you want to use your % coupon on has ECB rewards, it won’t work because getting ECBs are considered promotional.

    • Confused

      Hi,
I just went and got 7 bottles of the styler and used the $4 off $20 plus 20% off CVS coupon but the ECB DIDN’T print. Did it print for anyone? I just realized this when I got home so I might have to go back and return this or call customer service tomorrow.

  6. cdawnt

our cvs sent out coupons for their grand opening. One is $5 off $15 purchase like the $4 off $20 posted here. Does cvs count $15 BEFORE coupons are taken off or after? Is it one of those squirrely kind of transactions like at Dollar General and hit or miss with some cashiers?

    • Jessie

Just make sure you give the cashier the $5/$15 coupon before your manufacturer coupons and everything should work!

      • cdawnt

        Great, thank you Jessie !

    • mackyjane

You don’t happen to be in MS do you?

      • cdawnt

Mackyjane, Yes, I’m in Oxford, MS and our CVS opened July 7th.

        • cdawnt

BTW, since they sent out these flyers with all these coupons, I was wondering if I could swing over to my son’s mailbox and get his. Do you think it’s limited to one coupon per CARD? Does anyone know?

        • mackyjane

I know! I love it! I’m so glad we finally got one in town.

  7. msrossdaboss

Hi ladies, just wondering did anyone see the episode of BONES (CHANNEL FOX) on Friday night? Where a couponer was murder by the store manger for dumpster diving. I couldn’t believe it.

    • Rachelle

      lol!

  8. Mitch

The Lean Cuisine deal is awesome right now, I have been on my diet 10 days and I need to live on those for awhile! And I hope that $4 coupon prints out as well tomorrow!
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  9. May

The Colgate deal is two for five with 3 ebc, the limit is 2. Does that mean that I can get four Colgate toothpaste ??? Or just two ??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep! It means you can get buy 4 toothpastes and get a total of $6 Ecb’s back 🙂

      • cdawnt

And that’s all in one transaction, right? No splitting everything up like at Wags? Also can I use my ECB for stuff that I’m getting an ECB back on? Hope it’s not like Wags. I probably should read the section on here about CVS.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep you sure can! 😀 You can do it all in one transaction and get back $6 Ecb, or you can split it up and use the $3 from the first transaction to pay for the second one. Hope that helps!

  10. Corine

My CVS had some kid’s rainboot on clearance for $3.25 and I used my 20% off. Boots for $2.65!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! What a bargain for boots!

  11. Dallas

Does anyone know what to do if you have lost your CVS card and want to still use the same account and not get a new card? I know I can still use my phone number but I am missing out on all the great deals from the magic coupon machine =(

    • Julie

just ask your cashier when you go in next. They will mail you a new card. I lost one and they gave me a phone number to call. Got a new card in one week!

    • Cindy

I lost mine awhile back and had the same issues. I didn’t want a new card and loose all of the points accumulated on Beauty Club, ect. on the old card. Go to their website and you’ll find a number to call. They will fix you up with a new card with same account number and mail it to you. It took about 3 or 4 weeks to show up but it’s worth it.

    • anna

YOUR DEALS SHOULD PRINT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE RECIEPT AFTER YOUR TRANSACTION. IF U DON’T WANT 2 WAIT TIL AFTER YOUR PURCHASE BUY SOMETHING CHEAP AND GIVE THEM UR PHONE NUMBER WHEN U COME INTO THE STORE 2 SEE IF U GET ANY GOOD COUPONS 2 USE THAT DAY.

      • kristin

Not every coupon that would have printed out of the machine will print on your receipt though

    • amye

If you know your card number you can download the CVS app and input the card number, it will automate the UPC so you can still scan your phone! I can’t get my phone in a good position to work on the scanners that are kind of slanted, but the ones that shoot straight down work great!

  12. Erin

The Hydro Silk razor is on rollback at my Wal-Mart for $5.24, so with the $4/1 coupon it is a much better deal there than CVS.

  13. Kimberly

In my CVS ad it states the the crayola stuff is buy one get one 50% off.

  14. Angela

A $2 off any Nature Made vitamins coupon printed out for me last wk from the machine. Can I combine that with the manufacturer coupon and still get $4 ecb? Thanks in advance!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yep you sure can! Sweet deal! 🙂

  15. TAMI

Yes you can combine, I am yeah I have a Nature made reward coupon!

  16. Brittany

    Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! 😀

  17. Carol_R

    Thanks for the match-ups Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I hope we get the 4/12 w 2 ecb on pepsi here. We usually get the “good” deals on pepsi and coke products. I have plenty of the $1 dr pepper coupons and dr pepper is bottled by pepsi here 🙂

  26. Lori

On the Pepsi deal do I have to buy Pepsi max, like it says in the coupon or can I just get the regular Pepsi??

    • Cathy

If your coupon says off of Pepsi Max than you have to use it for the product listed.

  27. April

On the FREE schick Quattro for women or hydro razor can I use the $8.00 off one schick hydro silk refill?

    • Chelsea

No. Its not a refill cartridge. Razor only. The coupon is for a cartridge.

  28. Suzanne

    Collin and all
My CVS in St. Louis had long sleeve tshirts and long sleeve hoodies (fruit of the loom brand!) on clearance for 1.67! I am amazed by all the deals I find at this store. Tonight I bought 6 items for .13 after using some coupons and cashing in some ECBs…. amazing!

  29. Sara Gilliam Hensley

you stated in the pepsi/revlon deal to buy 7 of the 2 Lt pepsis but my ad says limit 5???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh oopsie. Thanks I’ll update that now.

  30. Lindsey

Quick question…. If you use a past ECB from Nature Made with the Nature Made deal this week will the new ECB print? I know at Walgreens it doesn’t but I’m not sure about CVS. Thanks in advance.

    • kristin

yes the new ECB will print, it is not like walgreens 🙂

  31. tammi

You can call 1-800- shop cvs to ask questions and get a replacement card

  32. sue

I only found a $1 off Kashi coupon on recycle bank. And I could not print it for unknown reason. 🙁

  33. tabatha

Hey wanted everyone to know i was at my lowe’s today in ga, and they had a buggy full of dicounted k-cup coffee boxes, seems they expired on july 5th and were discounted down to $2 a box, i dont even have the coffee machine but at that price i could not refuse, seeings how i know they go for upwards of $12 a box. Keep a look out at yours.

    • Mel

Just curious, why would you buy expired coffee k-cups, when you don’t even have the machine to use them??? Probably not a good idea to donate since they are expired….

      • Tabatha Soliz

Definitely not donating, I am hoping it will inspire my husband to get me the machine. 🙂

        • Rebeca

          Great idea, but QUICK! 😉

    • cdawnt

I always request the freebie k-cups and I don’t have a machine either. We dump them out and use them in our regular coffee pot. Learned one thing though, don’t try it with the Hot Cocoa. I had a mess on my hands. Now I heat up the water in my mug and pour it in and stir, but the coffee always works fine. I don’t drink coffee, but my husband said it was really good so if I found some for $2 I would get them too even if they were expired. Expirations don’t mean that much to me though. I’ve never had anything expired that was really spoiled, except milk, of course.

  34. Shawn

Goody hair accessories BOGO -use $2/1 hair accessories CVS coupon 😀

  35. Lesley

Crayola will be releasing another $1/$5 purchase coupon tomorrow (7/16)! Once again they will only have 10,000.

  36. April

This is a great week for sales in my area since my local CVS will take the expired CVS q’s!! I save each and every one of them and combine them with sales like this!!

  37. edy

In Houston.tx the fruit of the loom long sleeve tshirts. I found them for $1.33 clearance and rain boots only half price $6.99

  38. Jennifer

I found a $6 off Coppertone Wet & clear CVs coupon at the bottom of one of my receipts from last week. Paired with the $1 off manufacturers coupon and ECB = FREE sunscreen!

    • Rachael

I got that Q too but it was so expensive last week that I thought it wasn’t worth using but with this week’s sale I’m glad I saved it.

  39. Jennifer

Also, the St. Ives travel size did not ring up B1G1 50% off. The cashier price adjusted it, but said since it was part of B3 for $1.33 each or 1 for $1.49, that sale trumps the other one…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the update Jennifer!

  40. Linda J.

I can’t do the deal with 7 of the 2-liters of Pepsi because my ad says there is a limit of 5 @ 77 cents each.

  41. Candi

The 1 oz St. Ives scrub doesn’t fall under the buy 1 get 1 50% off. I tried it this morning and it didn’t work at my store in Pennsylvania.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for letting me know!

Does the $4 off $20 coupon count toward your total before coupons, or do you have to spend $20 after coupons are applied? I’m new at this, sorry if that is a silly question! 🙂

    • STEPH

before. always give the cashier the 4/20 first and then the rest of your coupons! HTH

There was a CVS IP for $2/1 any glade expressions fragrance mist product that I printed from their site last month. It states cvs/pharmacy on it, but it has a long wacky barcode. Can i stack this with the $2 mfr q from today’s insert and get a free product (plus possible overage)?

The $1.50/2 Dove coupon beeped like crazy. The cashier initially refused to take it but I hold my ground and she ended up pushing it through.

    • Jana

This happened to me today also. But he would not push it through. Also, the Suave .75 coupons beeped for the body wash and they would not push these through either. Does anyone know why?

      • mel

I called Dove and complained. Mainly b/c Walgreens wouldn’t accept the coupon on the single bar soap, and kept insisting it was a travel size. I tried to use the coupon at WM and it beeped and the cashier wouldn’t take it. I just told the lady it was frustrating to use a coupon, it beeps, and the cashiers act like you are committing a crime using a legit coupon!! She apologized and sending me some complimentary Unilever brand coupons.

With so many complaints I’ve read on here and other boards, I really think the coupon was coded incorrectly.

        • Marie

Used mine at Kroger because they had the 2 bar packs for $1.94. It was part of the buy 10 save $5 deal. They accepted it no problem. Just thought I would put it out there for those of you who shop there.
