Collin, do you happen to remember the site/blog that would compare all of the back to school deals? They did it last year, just did not know if they would do it this year or not.

  2. Nikki

Please share the site name if you find it. I don’t have Office Max near me.

  3. Hayden

The picture of the Office Max ad says it’s the 16 pack batteries, but when you go to the landing page, the details say it’s for the 10 pack batteries, anyone have any idea?

    • Christina

I wanted to know if anyone knows what is going on with the battery deal. Also make sure to keep your invoices because Duracell has a $25.00 rebate for if you spend a $100.00 before Dec 31 so I think between these deals and the ones that we will get from Staples around Christmas we will get paid to buy great batteries.

      • Jillian

Sweet! Do you happen to have the link to the rebate form?

  4. Audrey

Don’t forget to enter a coupon code as well! DEAL 5 to get $5 off of $25 or I found a $10 off of $40 code on retailmenot.com. I scored free shipping too since the products totaled $50 before promo code. I think I will get more back in MaxPerks than I paid!

    • Marie

Make sure you have items though that are not on a Maxperks rebate where you only pay a penny. If you use a coupon they deduct that amount from your rebate. Like 2 weeks ago I used a $5 coupon on a backpack. The backpack was $69.99 and I used the $5 coupon which took it down to $64.99 that I paid before tax. When I checked my officemax account this week it shows that I will be getting $64.98 back in Maxperks and not the $69.98. Save a little when you pay, but not get as much back in rewards. Hope that makes sense.

      • Ellen

So do you think that if I buy a bunch of free or $0.01 items and then add $5 worth of non-rebated items I could use the coupon and still get the full rebate amount back as MaxPerks? Or would they prorate the $5 across the whole order?

        • Marie

Yes, it should work. Just make sure that you tell the cashier and they know about the coupon. Certain coupons have certain requirements. In the past I will give them my items that aren’t “Maxperks rewards” items and let them ring them up first, then they add the coupon so it attaches itself to those items, and then they ring up the rewards items. It’s only if you are buying one item like I did that it will affect the reward. The only reason I know about this was a while back I was waiting in line to pay and this woman was causing a scene after she had paid because of how everything rang up and she thought she was overcharged. She blew up, threw it all on the counter and told them she wanted her money back. Needless to say I made them explain it all to me.

          • Ellen

Thank you so much for responding. I’m ordering online, so we’ll see how that works.

  5. Becky

I read that you can roll max perk rewards but can you roll them on the same thing? The batteries for example. They often have those cheap or free after max perks. If that’s the only thing I want to get, will they roll?

  6. Steph

Yes, when your reward prints out it is just the amount you earned that is listed for that month. So you can use it for anything accept giftcards, ups shipping (at least at my store). So if you wanted more batteries you could get them.

  7. Wendy

I was hoping someone could explain how maxperks works. Lets say I get the reward online and or in the store what do you do from there. And thanks in advance for anyone who will help explain maxperks.

    • Marie

The best way to learn about Maxperks would be to click on the link Collin has attached to this post. Basically anything you buy in the month of the rewards (say August) would be available to use as your reward the end of the following month (say Sept) on most anything in the store except giftcards, UPS services. It’s really is a great program. Check out her link.

Has anyone tried to use the TUNES code for ipod dock? I tried but it’s not working. Are they already out of them?? I had more than $175 in my cart.

    • Nicole M.

I was wondering the same thing as I can’t seem to get the iPod dock code to work. 🙁

      • Nicole M.

I called OfficeMax and asked which iPod dock was the free one. They said to use item # 23416126. It’s an iPod dock priced at $19.99. Hope that helps!

        • Christina

Thank you so much this item worked. Love FREE

is this deal online only because all pens are sold out ?

  10. Tiffani

Question about the pens and fasteners. Are they a limit of 2 pens total, or can I purchase 2 pens of each type? There are several different fasteners available, so can I can two of each type of fastener or just 2 total? Thanks in advance for any advice!

    • Tiffani

Sorry, meant to say “can I buy two of each type of fasteners….”

      • hamsmom

Generally, no if an office max limit says “limit 2” and there are several types, it doesn’t mean 2 of each type. You could get two total, whether the same type or different types.

        • hamsmom

For example, in this case, you could get one paperclip box and one binder clip box, not two of each. Or you could get two paperclip boxes only and nothing else, etc….

  11. Julie

I haven’t looked at the newspaper, but if Office Max’s sales ad advertises these items as “it’s like paying $0.01 after max perks” can’t I take that ad to Wal-Mart and buy the exact same item for just $0.01? I’m new to couponing, so I’m still trying to figure the whole thing out! Thanks for any help you can give me!

If anyone is going shopping at Old Navy could make these deals even better!! I was shopping at Old Navy yesterday and they gave me an OfficeMax discount card with a promotional code for $10 off $40 purchase…used it on my order today (one time use code).
