So the expo makers are free after rewards, limit 2. On the site it says, buy 2 get 1 free. So 3 for free (after rewards)? Does that work?
They had the same promotion on the sticky notes. The way I understand it after having placed my order is that the 3rd comes off as free right off the top, and the rewards would be on the 2 that weren’t listed as $0
My experience from past orders is that the free item is the LOWEST priced item that you add to your cart, or the THIRD item if all three items have the same price. The free item doesn’t have to be the same as the 100% back perks item, as long as it is less (or equal and added to your card third.) For example, you could buy 2 of the post-i pads that are on 100% back perks for $14.79 each and 1 3″x5″ lined large 5 pads pack ($11.29) and the large pads pack will be free as it cost the least. I love these deals because it allows me to the a variety of items. For example, you could get avery labels (select ones included in the post it B2G1 promo) or “sign here” 400 ct pack for free in addition to the post it pads.
I should clarify, the third item of lesser value must be included in the same line for the B2G1 deal. For example, the Post it B2G1 deal includes most post it packs and dispensers, plus lots of the avery packs. The expo B2G1 deal includes most expo pens plus some dry erase accessories including dry erase board cleaning supplies.

I believe it is a mistake. They have run this deal before, and it end up being something like $140.00 after the maxperk reward. If you read the fine print, the maxperk amount back is only $160. I think when they updated the MAXPERKS scenarios for this week, Office Max accidently put the “only 1 penny” header on this one by mistake. They have made similar errors in the past, and they usually fix it by the end of the first day.

Has anyone had their maxperks $ for their july backpack purchases released and available for use yet? Mine are stil not available.
Hi, if you log into your Maxperks account, you should see the transaction and the bonus amount, but it will not be available for you to use until the end of the quarter, which in this case would be the end of September. Then it actually takes about 20 days after that before you receive an email from Office Max with your maxperks rewards gift card and pin number. These rewards will then expire four months after the end of the quarter, which in this case would be the end of January. You can also use the rewards to purchase more items that you earn rewards on, so it just keeps going…sounds complicated, but it’s really fun!!! Hope this helps!!
I purchased the backpack on 8/3 so the maxperks reward $$ will be available to me at the end of Sept. It is always the end of the following month that you purchase the items. Go online and you can view your pending rewards. It is so easy.
My backpack credit is in my account. I purchased 8/7 so mine should release 9/7.
mine aren’t available yet either, would like to get some of the current deals but don’t want to invest any more cash in office max.
On the same day I ordered the backpacks, I ordered the batteries… the 9.99 credit is in my account ready to use. Why didn’t the backpack credit show up at the same time? I feel worried that I won’t get credit for it. I will email them.
YOu will get it. If you look in your account it shows your purchase. But because they had so many purchases or because they delivered it on a later date, the reward will be a little late. I called already
I’ve read on other posts at hip2save that because the backpack deal is massive and because it takes place in the last week of the month, OfficeMax holds off on posting the sales until Aug. so their July rewards payout isn’t so huge. IDK if this is the reason, but other folks here say OfficeMax has handled it the same way in past years, crediting the non-backpack portions to July and the backpacks to Aug.

I have 50$ in rewards that I can use in October but i would also like to get a few free reward deals this week. How much money do people usually play with around with? I am wondering is spending another 45$, that I would get back in rewards seems like too much?!

They happen all year long. I purchased a case of printer paper back in like March or April and it was one of the deals where you paid a penny and got the rest back in rewards. There is always something whether in store or online. But yes, there have been some really great deals with Maxperks these past few months. Hope that helps.
