No participating florists in New Hampshire. Bummer.

    • Priyanka

      Or Massachusetts 🙁

      • Riya

Where do u live in Mass?

    • Save Creatively

None participating in our area either. (I even called several shops to check.) On a side note, speaking of flowers, there’s a fun free game “Are You Smarter Than A Plant?” https://tiny.cc/smarterthanaplant It’s different, but pretty fun.

  2. Ashley57

I have a somewhat local store participating (about half an hour away). What do I do? If I went there, would I be able to get free flowers? Has anyone done this before?

  3. jessica

So do you have to call and request it or can you do it online or how does it work?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If your florist is participating, I would call your store and ask what the next step is in order to receive the free flowers.

  4. angela

    Thank you!!

  5. Nikki

    ATLANTA ‘burbs-specifically Acworth area.
The Dixie Florist, although listed as participating, just tols me on the phone she has backed out. 🙁

  11. maflies1

None in my area, or any area of friends or family. (:-

  12. Jenny

I don’t see what to do either.

  13. Pamela

OK, I just called a participating florist. You have to go to store & pick up the free flowers (at that florist it happened to be a bouquet of roses). No free deliverywith this promotion.
    Good Luck to everyone!!

  14. Raquel

Bummer, no in AZ (Phoenix). 🙁

  15. Jodi L.

Well, don’t try calling the FTD 800 number. They had no idea what I was talking about!

  16. vicki

i just called the one in Oak Creek, WI and was told it is in fact IN STORE ONLY and you get TWO FREE ROSES…one for you and one to give away…bla, not worth the effort!

    • axhilli

I’m from SE Wisconsin also and that is what I was told definitely not worth the effort.

    • Sue

Thanks for posting. The OC store is the closest one to me. Nice thought but not worth the gas money for two roses.

  17. Sandy

I think the key word is “AT” participating locations. Meaning you go to the store and you get a free rose for yourself and another to give away. At least that is what my local participating store is doing. Hope this helps.

  18. Rachel

Can someone send me the link? I can’t get it to work from this page? Thanks!

  19. Kristina

You have to go to the florist and they will give you the free flowers. Just got off the phone with the local participating florist.

  20. Betsy

I called the participating florist in MN and you go in and pick up the bouquet and deliver it yourself. They will not deliver the flowers.

  21. karen

the only one in chicago is not safe to go to, so not worth free flowers!

  22. Fernanda

It says on the fine print that it’s online only…but so what?!?!? I don’t get it! I need help!!! I don’t know what to do!!!

  23. Jenny

Nevermind, I called em. They said just come on in! Our local place is also taking can donations for the local food shelf. What a day brightener!

  24. Laura

There weren’t any locations in KS but I found one near a good friend of mine in NC. Her husband is coming home from deployment in two days and I called the closest participating florist to her and they had three bouquets left! I called her quickly and she happened to be driving by and was able to pick up a dozen beautiful red roses. She cried and is so happy to be able to welcome her husband home with such a beautiful bouquet 🙂 Thank you so much Collin!! You made both of our days!!

    • Jessie

Laura, you are proof that you do not need a lot of money to be a blessing to others. Your friend is lucky to have you!

      • Laura

Honestly though Jessie, that is so true! I have been on bed rest for the last two months and unable to work. This site has been SUCH a huge blessing to me because it gives me something to do and allows me to still help out my husband and soon to be baby in a much more financially wise way. ALSO, my friends and family have been so wonderful to me in this time, and I have been able to bless them in return! My friend that received the flowers in NC just sent me my favorite candles in the mail last week 🙂

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are clearly a wonderful friend, Laura! Thanks so much for sharing this story with us. 😀

  25. Betty

Karen, really? Wow. It’s not in a terribly horrible neighborhood. I’ve been in worse.

I guess when you live in the suburbs/north shore everything south of Madison is scary.

    • Jennifer W

Lol… I thought the same thing! I grew up about 15-20 minutes from there and wanted to laugh when I read that. Anyway that is typical Chicago. While that is not a great neighborhood many from the north side never seem to realize that there are some nice and even wealthy neighborhoods on the south side too.

  26. carey

How do you find out if there is any participating florists in your town? I looked on the website, but couldn’t figure out how to check. Thanks!

  27. CourtneyAmanda

You have to go IN to the store to pick up a free dozen roses. You keep one and give the other 11 away. However, if you want to deliver them to someone, it’s $29.99. WOW! Never mind 😯

  28. angie

I just called my participating florist and they said good neighbor day is Friday!

  29. Vero

I called the ONE in Chicago and they say there IS NOT FREE FLOWERS. They are NOT participating even when they are in the list. =/ weird

    • Jessie

That is what I was told from the florist in Indianapolis.

  30. COLEEN6000

Checked in Rockville Center, NY, it is in store only. No delivery. Just go in, and pick a bouquet of flowers up.

  31. allie

Temple TX is participating. I called Woods. The man there was very nice. He said they are giving 6 free roses but you could request more than that. They are also collecting cans of food for local charity. He seemed very cheerful and excited to be participating. I hope everyone brings in as many can goods as they can!

  32. allie

Precious Memories in Temple TX also participating. Also a dozen roses and collecting donations of food and money for Ronald McDonald House. The lady there was also very friendly and nice!

  33. moniqua

Some places are still listed but no longer participate.I.e Dixie Florist in Ga

  34. Heather Gausin

Just called my florist. She said you get a dozen roses. Have to go pick them up. I’m going to give them to my step mom. She does so much for us! 🙂 yay!!

    • Heather

Update!… Walked right in. The lady at the front greeted me and was very friendly. I even got to pick what color! Got a nice bouquet of yellow roses. ( just lucked out bc they were right down the st)

  35. toni

i called ftd and they knew nothing about then looked it up and told me to call the florist. i called the florist and they knew nothing about it! called ftd back got another person who nothing about it. whew! funny.

  36. mandy

Called my local store in Eagle ID and they are only offering free delivery with a minimum of $35 purchase no free flowers 🙁

    • Maddy

This store sucks. They were so rude when I called them about it last year. I live right near them and would never use them for anything because they are so rude.

  37. camille

The one I called in Pittsburgh said that it is up to the individual store. They were offering a free rose…pick up only.

  38. Esme

    WA only one bud rose..really..

  39. Trace

The florist happened to be 4 blocks from my house. The owner greeted me and was so friendly. She made me a beautiful large arrangement of bright yellow carnations and red roses. They will definitely be my “go to” florist from now on! Thank you H2S and A Rose of Sharon (Portland, OR) for brightening my day!!!

  40. Mac

If it sounds to good to be true, it must be!

  41. Nicole

The one in ohio was participating. I went around 11am- they looked like there was 6 or 7 bouquets left so they might be all gone now but I did get one though. Thank you for the info!

  42. Lolita

I called the ‘Flowers by Carole” in Dobbs Ferry NY – very nice lady, For Good Neighbor Day, she said you pick-up a dozen flowers. You keep one, then pass out the other eleven to friends and neighbors.

  43. Michelle

I just picked up mine, and already made my neighbor very happy! She has helped us out with last min. babysitting, so me and my 3 boys surprised her with a rose and a big Thank you! This was amazing for both of us!! Thank you Collin for this post!!

  44. Kimberly

Bummer! 🙁 I had a florist near me that showed they were participating but the number is disconected.

  45. Carolyn

My husband stopped by one on the way home from work. Since it was the end of the day, they gave him 2 dozen roses!!
