As I’ve mentioned before, lots and lots of Hip2Savers have gotten to host various House Parties… so it is possible to get selected. Just have patience and keep applying for the various parties that pop up and eventually you may get selected!
If you’re wondering what a House Party is..
Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.
What free stuff will you receive?
That all depends on the specific brand your throwing the party for. Each brand has their own unique Party Pack filled with all kinds of free stuff to make your party a success!

First go on over here to sign up to be on the HouseParty.com mailing list. They will email you all the new, free and exclusive House Parties you can host as they become available. Next click over here to look at all the upcoming House Party events. When applying you will be asked a series of questions to make sure you’re a good fit for the House Party. That’s it! Now you just wait to see if you’re one of the lucky chosen that gets to host one of these FUN & FREE events!
Way toooo many “up your chances” by doing this and that (at least for me). I tried for the Keurig party and “tweeted,” and posted, and reposted and retweeted…to no avail. I know I can’t expect to get picked right away, but they just kept asking for more things to “up your chances.” When they asked for a picture, I was done. Happy for those that got picked and for those that don’t mind doing all the extra things. Not for me. On the next “hip” deal 🙂 🙂 🙂
I agree kidsallgone. I was just thinking that I need to unsubscribe. The really want you to jump through hoops before you even get selected to host an event. I am not laying my life all out on the internet for them, just because their marketing department thought that was a great idea : /
I cancelled my subscription after the Keurig party winners were announced. I agree, too many hoops to jump through for nothing. Check out the winners of that particular party. MOST of them are people who do NOTHING but enter sweepstakes like this. Take a look at the Twitter accounts of those winners. They use it for nothing but to enter sweepstakes. I didn’t understand why House Party would need anyone to “up your chances” of winning by posting your information and pictures all over the internet and social media sites and telling heartfelt, HONEST stories about why you wanted to host a Keurig party and how you would use the machine if you did win when at the end of the day, none of that really mattered.

I got picked for the Keurig party and did not have to jump through hoops. I didnt tweet, didnt take a picture, etc. I have a Keurig Vue brewer coming in the mail today! I will take pics then and post them, but I would do that anyways bc I am SUPER PSYCHED to get a free Keurig!!

I totally agree with you and same happen to me..I was chosen for the Keurig party and I got my Keurig Vue yesterday :)) I’m really excited about it and this is my first time with then. :)))
I too was chosen for the Keurig Vue. I have been chosen several times for House Party items and don’t really do the extra stuff except for posting to facebook and twitter. I think it has to do with how you answer the questions. You should at least have a profile picture and post comments and photos.
Agreed, Ashley, I’ve been picked for parties that I haven’t uploaded photos for in order to increase my chances. 🙂 In fact, the only I do to increase my chances is to post on their message board thing, I never post on FB, tweet (non-twitter person) or upload pics.
I love houseparty, too. I never tweet and do all that stuff either. I’ve never posted a picture. I usually get picked for three parties a year and right now I’m doing the fisher price party. I just got a sixty pound box filled with tons of toys for FREE! There’s been parties I was sure I’d be picked for and never did and some that were a total surprise. Remember they target certain groups for different parties so your age or income may already be enough to not get you certain parties.
I love Houseparty too. I never tweet or jump through hoops and I’ve still been chosen. I do post on the message board thing on their site but other than that I dont feel like I’ve had to jump through hoops. I hosted the shutterfly photo book party last year and was chosen for the Duplo party (although I didnt get signed up quick enough for that one to host) and I am currently hosting a Fisher Price party in a couple of weeks and have a huge box of toys on the way for that party. It really is random i think sometimes because they are looking for certain demographics that fit the marketing plan of the company that they are working with, so those are the people in the end that are chosen.
I was chosen for the Foster Farm’s Fresh Chicken party and I really didn’t do anything special to get picked! I have been chosen for one other party last year too.They sent me lots of free goodies and high value coupons!
WOW!! That’s good to know that getting picked didn’t depend on your tweets and postings and comments, etc etc etc. Now I might be tempted (again) to apply. Problem is, I live in the “boonies” and they said my address didn’t exist! LOL!
I too have been picked for the house party. The first one was the Sweet Freedom Blue Bunney Ice Cream, I got 12 packs of free ice cream and tons of free post its, bags, coupons, ice cream scoop. Great stuff. I was also just picked for the Fisher Price one and am waiting for my stuff. Should be here any day. I don’t go crazy with the entry stuff. I don’t enter all of them, just the ones I am actually interested in. I don’t tweet or FB the stuff but I usually take a pic when my stuff comes and then of our family using the items but I don’t make a big deal over it. It is worth the few minutes to fill out the apps and upload the pics for all the cool stuff you get. I highly recommend to people as they will give away the stuff and why not get a chance at it. So much fun!
I was accepted in to the fisher price house party!!!! I got my free toys yesterday and my boys were thrilled.
