Home Depot: Earn $5, $10, and $15 Coupons For the Lawn and Garden Department (Facebook)
NOTE: Before going into details on this offer, I just want to first mention that this game will take quite a bit of your time in order to snag the high value coupons (as much as an hour or so!), so keep that in mind before playing…
For a limited time, you can head on over to the Home Depot Facebook page and click on the Zombie Mulch tab to play a game in which you can earn coupons for $5 off a $5.01 purchase, $10 off a $10.01 purchase, and $15 off a $15.01 purchase from the Home Depot Lawn and Garden Department (valid thru 12/31/12)! To snag the coupons, you will need to hit zombies with the truck (use the arrows to move it up and down) and make them into mulch. If you make enough, you will receive the coupons. I personally did not have enough patience to actually snag a coupon, but I hope that some of you do! Good luck! 🙂

I was able to get all three coupons yesterday and it didn’t take too long. If you don’t want to play the game for very long you can get the $5 coupon and stop. Each coupon prints separately so you end up with $30 for Home Depot! My mom played too so we have $60 to spend tonight. You score goes up twice as fast if you sign up for the Garden Club. If you enjoy video games it isn’t too long to play – my opinion.

How do you sign up for the garden club to get your score to go up?
You can sign up directly through the game if you enter your e-mail and zip and click the “sign me up!” checkbox underneath it. Alternatively, just google “Home Depot Garden Club” and that will take you to a sign-up page. The Garden Club is pretty awesome — I get e-mailed coupons all the time, such as a $10 off $50 garden purchase, which Lowe’s will accept as a competitor coupon.

Thanks for letting us know that each coupon prints separately! I thought I only earned $15, but then I went back to print the $5 and $10 separately. AWESOME!
I did realize this until I completed the $15 card. You can get a 5, 10 AND 15 coupon (total of $30!!!). Just go to the statistics tab and scroll down.
Looks like the games my kids used to play until i told them I dont like zombies… Yeah and unless ur a gamer this will take forever…
lol, my plan is to let my kid play it when he gets home. I don’t like zombie games for my kid either, but I don’t have the time to play it. He’ll be thrilled, and I’ll get to finish my small outdoor project…win/win 🙂

you can redeem them at the end and they will send you an email to print each one. You have 3 times to open the email. Mine don’t expire until 12-31-2012!!
It popped up and I said I won $5, and I clicked redeem but nothing happened. It paused the game. Do I enter my email at the very end?
After you’re done playing, go to the home page and click on “stats” — all the coupons you have unlocked will be there, even if you didn’t click “redeem”!

Do they email you the coupon?
They email the coupon whenever you click on it so you can save them until you are ready.
Is the coupon emailed to you or does it have to be printed right away. I dont have access to a printer right now so i would have to go to the library and print it out.

Unfortunately I got very dizzy after playing the game. Which never happens to me usually. I had won the $5 coupon and it wouldn’t print it just paused the game. I feel very ill now. I’ll pass on this offer. 🙁
That’s odd. Are you scared of zombies? It is a VERY slow moving game. It doesn’t print right when you win the coupon – go to your stats and you can redeem it.
No I’m not afraid of zombies. LOL. I like Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead so – no. LOL. I just know that I started getting vertigo or something. Wasn’t worth all that time for me. Never was able to print the $5 coupon.
Go to stats and you can redeem your $5 coupon. If you feel better and want to play more, you can get the $10 and $15 coupons later.
if you click on “stats” you should see a link to redeem your coupon and you just need to confirm your name/email to have it emailed to you. I just got mine
I’m getting dizzy too but I have motion sickness. I’m going to have to take a break. This is way time consuming but worth it for the coupons.
It gave me motion sickeness too! I had to stop and take a break and play off and on to get the coupons! Glad to finally have them!

Oh man! I thought it was going to email me all 3 coupons at the end, but you have to click “claim” each time to enter in your email or you won’t receive them??

Took me about 20 minutes, but it seemed like longer! Got $30 for 20 minutes of mindless work though so I am happy!

ok, took me about 45 minutes, but I did some laundry, laid the baby down and went at it. Not bad for $30 worth of “freebies” (since I’ll purchase items barely above the necessary price! 😉
What I did was click on “Want more Mulch” above the coupon meter and signed in under the garden club and I got double the points.. So I was getting 12 points for the zombies when I hit the green floating thing.. lol.. it took me a good 15 mins to reach it..

It didn’t work for me either so I clicked on Benefits of Mulch at the start of the game and it popped up to enter email address for the garden club and then I started earning double points for the zombies.

I think I figured it out! Click the home screen and then select “Benefits of Mulch”. There will be text at the top of the screen that says “Start Earning 2X” or something along those lines. Then you sign up for the emails and you get 2X the mulch during the game when you hit the green things! 🙂

I don’t live near a Home Depot, does it work online, and does anyone know if shipping prices are high (and if all coupons can be used in one order? My guess is no, but to save on shipping…)
Oh, and does this HAVE to come from the Lawn/Garden Department? I haven’t printed my coupons so I don’t know what it says…………does it say on the coupon? Or can you use it on anything in-store?
It does say Purchase in Lawn & Garden, so it looks like you won’t be able to use it in any other department.

I can’t get it to load on safari changed to firefox and still no luck.
I have a tip You don’t have to actually “play” the game…all you have to do is start it and let the truck drive itself in a straight line until it hits enough obstacles that it says “start over”. You can sit and read a book (or in my case, work on my lapto computer) while the game plays itself. All you have to do is keep restarting it. I start it and put the truck on the sidewalk as there are less obstacles there, so it will run itself for longer until I have to restart it.
FWIW, I got more zombies and my game lasted longer when I let it playitself this way!

How much mulch do you have to make?
Christmas trees, wreaths, poinsettias, ornaments, wrapping paper, etc are all in lawn and garden during the holidays. Including lights!
The Christmas stuff is in the Everything for Christmas Department. I don’t think it qualifies for this coupon. If you go to the home depot website, they have a list of departments.

Says any purchase of $15.01 or more, so it just has to be at least 15.01! 🙂

Tried to play on MacBook and wouldn’t work. Re-opened in Mozilla and now the game is gone. I guess they took it down…. 🙁
Are these coupons 1 per purchase or can you buy $30 worth of lawn/garden stuff and use all the coupons in one transaction?
I take it you can only use 1 per transaction…it says LIMIT one coupon per customer. Then states Limited to max $5 discount per transaction (on the $5 coupon) Lastly says this offer cannot be combined with any other discount, offer, promotion or special incentive program…. If anyone uses this in the store can you update us if you had to do 3 seperate transactions??

Anyone else getting “unexpected error” when clicking redeem. I went to redeem all the coupons & it says that then i go to refresh the page & its all gone. It took me almost an hour to play and its not letting me get my coupons.
just got a $5 reward in about 15 minutes, reached $5 level again and now its saying there is a error in unlocking your rewards!!! what’s up with that
I was able to hang in there long enough to get a $10 coupon but it took forever & I actually kept my browser open & just went back & played off & on throughout the morning.
so i played a long time and earned $15 total got the$10 printed but cannot print the $5 what do i do to go back and find it?

i am having the same problem when i reached the $10 amount, it says to click to redeem, but when i do, nothing happens, it reloads the page but its dark!. no email order form like the one for $5.. now i am kind of wondering if i should even play to $15 as i would hate to waste my time and NOT be able to get that one either..
oh geez.. i forgot i turned by pop up blocker back on!! anyone having trouble should just turn it off then hit refresh.. silly me! =)
Does anyone know of the contact number? I went to stats and it took me straight to a login screen…and I am logged in?! It won’t let me claim any of my coupon! I sat there forever and finally got to $30! I sure hope that there is someway to get them! But I can’t get away from the ‘login’ screen. Strange thing is there is no where to – login? Anyone else having the same problem? I checked my email and they coupons were not emailed either. Thanks in advance for the help!

It looks like they are having issues; mine told me I needed to log-in (when I already was), and then kept refreshing the page over and over again. If you check the Home Depot facebook page comment under the zombie game, you’ll notice lots of people commenting on issues that have popped up late morning/early afternoon.

I clicked on stats after finishing, but it seems to be stuck in some kind of loop, keeps flashing Zombie Mulch on Facebook and facebook.com. Anyone else have this problem?
Yes! This is happening to me. I have tried Internet Explorer on my Laptop, Safari on my Ipad, and Google Chrome on my Desktop! Lol Nothing is working for me. I don’t know..

My points are missing also. I played to get 5000 points and it came up and said I have 5000 but when I went to redeem it said I only have 1146 points,so only $5.00.
