I don’t think it is a waste of time to try to score an amazing deal. Some work, some don’t, that’s life. It’s like Mama always said, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
If my order of two rugs (took maybe 5 mins) gets cancelled oh well… it was worth a shot. I’m hoping and a praying it doesn’t though! I’ve needed an area rug for my daughter’s room and our family room (um… carpet stains) for a long time!
Actually took me over 30 minutes. This was posted on another site at 7:30 this morning, and at that time, they had over 30 different rugs to view and choose. The site was slammed and slow and I barely made it through check out. I was surprise to see after my post that so many others were still able to check out, considering hundreds had been sold earlier today. I too hope it goes through, did two orders one for me and another for a family member. Although my order conf. still shows it will arrive on 12/14, the actual store called and stated it was price error and all orders will be cancelled…nothing will be shipped to any store. Wasn’t trying to crap on this thread, just warn that it could be a waste of time, if the Store Managers statement is true country wide.

OMGracious! I just bought three. No problems at all . The first link in Colin’s post didn’t work. Got an error message from Lowes. But the direct link to the rugs worked perfectly. Took me just a couple minutes. Worked as

We needed an area rug in our dining room. I’ve been wanting one for a long time, but didn’t want to pay a lot! I SO hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
I know it sounds too good to be true, but I went ahead and added a rug to my cart, then proceeded in check out… this message came up under “Credit Card Information”: “The remaining balance of $10.00 will be applied to your Credit Card.” With this “Special Offers” highlighted in Blue. I clicked on Special Offers and another window popped up “Use your Lowe’s Consumer Credit Card, and you may qualify for instant savings or special financing. Minimum purchase required. Get Details” Then when you click on “Get Details” it goes on to mention applying for Lowes Credit.
With that, I am guessing the “$10” is what will apply to the credit card you put in during check out, then if the credit doesn’t go thru, you will have to pay the difference? I don’t know, but don’t want to find out as I can’t afford to lose $6xx for a rug 🙂 It’s all good, thank you for the post and heads up!!

Wow, do I hope these orders don’t get cancelled! We had to throw away the area rug in my 4 year old son’s room due to… well… lots of puke. No way was I going to try to clean it up. 🙂 I ordered an 8×10 replacement rug for $10.70! These prices have got to be a mistake, but I do hope they don’t cancel the order.

Thank you! The comment about throwing a stink if the order got cancelled was a bit over the top. Companies make mistakes. It is a bummer to lose a deal but everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Occasionally when the deal seems to be too good to be true it really is 🙂 It still is fun to try though!
And that would be “raising” not sure how one would “throw” a stink. Deal hunting today must be taking a toll on me 😉
Did anyone have a problem adding their rugs to the shopping cart? Each time I hit “Add To Add” it takes me to a Lowe’s web page that looks like it the formatting is off. Never shows up in the cart 🙁
It means they are out of those. Try to add each design and the ones they do have will show up in your cart. I managed to get 2, but they weren’t my first choices. Still, it’s a great deal!

I ordered one a few hours ago, I found the deal on a different deal site. They took the money out of my account, but I’m sure they will get cancelled. There were people saying that they ordered over 100 rugs.

well I ordered one too. hope it does go thru. My 14 yr old daughter wants a large rug like this for her room. I guess we will see. I waited and checked these comments for a few minutes before I went ahead and placed the order.
