I was also called after seeing a refund and a “shipped from warehouse” with an arrival date of 2/6/13. I was told this ‘problem’ was an issue with over 30,000 orders. They said that most orders had been cancelled and the money was refunded….funny, I never got an email that my order was cancelled.
That’s funny because I called and asked for my order to be cancelled, and was told that I would receive a refund. However, I have yet to see a refund, and when I log in to Staples, my order still says processing. Will definitely not shop at Staples anymore or at least staples.com. Customer service is atrocious!
In the email it said refunds take 5-7 days so hopefully we’ll see the money back in a few days! 🙂
I just got mine in the mail yesterday. It was free shipping too! I guess they just weren’t prepared for the volume of orders.
Mine came just fine and I ordered 5. I wonder if it’s because I have free shipping through my upgraded Staples Rewards card.
I ordered 23 stamps. I received the email just like everybody else regarding they wanted to charge $9.95, or else the order would be cancelled by a certain date. I called before the deadline & the customer service rep said my order had already been cancelled. I was supposed to receive shipping regardless because my order was over $20. She couldn’t figure it out. She tried to reorder, got all the way to the payment screen, & couldn’t get my card to go through. She asked if she could call me back after talking with a supervisor. She never called back. I chalked it up to a loss, only to find all 23 stamps delivered yesterday…. Now I have to scour over my credit card statement…
