Wow now this is a crazy deal.Ca we use certificates on the transaction and still get the points? Thanks.

  2. Lauren

Woke up this morning and saw that Best Buy sent me a random $5 reward certificate.

    • Lindsey Kelley

      I got one too! Yay!

    • melony

Did the reward go into your account today? I also got the email and it was not in there from today only a reward I had from the 3rd. I called and they said the email was wrong it was the reward from the 3rd-19th.

      • Leslie

Same here, I had already used it a week ago, then got the email today.

  3. Jennifer

Not sure… Anyone know? I have 1 built up, 1 about 10 pts away and 1 $5 gc from rolling a cert Into one on the blue ray deal.

  4. Brenda

Is anyone else having a problem accessing the ACTIVITY FEED page? I receive a message saying “sorry there was an error processing your request”. I can access the other three tabs.

  5. Joe

And don’t forget to use Ebates if shopping online or Shopkick if shopping in-store!

    • Annette

I’m not sure if you can go through any of the online rewards sites. The way you can access the 500 points if you spend $10 or more, is if you click on the special link provided on the Activity Feed page and enter the site that way. You can’t go through the 500 point link and the Ebates link at the same time.

      • Sandy

Well, that can’t be true. You can do an in-store purchase.

        • Annette

Maybe, but I wouldn’t take that chance. To me $10 is better than a few pennies earned from those other sites.

          • Sandy

Oh, I agree. I meant you shouldn’t have to go through the link to get the 500 points because it applies to in-store purchases as well. So, ordering via the on-line link is one of the options.

      • rose simpson

You can’t go thru ebates or shopathome b/c you have to click on the link on best buy’s facebook page to get the deal

        • Sandy

No, you don’t. You have to be signed into your Best Buy Reward Zone account, and spend over $10 to collect the 500 points. If you utilize any Reward certificates and/or gift card(s) the total spent AFTER using those must be over $10.

          • Sandy

You must also have the Facebook Best Buy app.

            • veronica0128

they’re giving out different info now that you can pay with just certs and it would still count. QUESTION: if i want to buy an amazon kindle $25 gift card, and have $25 in reward zone gift certificates, am i eligible for the 500 reward pts? i do the polls whenever they’re available and it shows on my activity feed. or do i need spend $10 cash/CC and use $15 in gift certificate in order to satisfy the criteria?
ANSWER: If you purchase a $25 Kindle card with $25 in certificates that would still be eligible for the 500 bonus points.- tony from the best buy fb

I just ordered a Dora DVD for my daughter for 12.99 with free shipping, Shopathome and $10 back!!! Woo Hoo! Thank you, Collin!

    • Annette

How did you go through ShopAtHome link and the 500 points link at the same time? I thought you can only do one link or the other.

  7. Dara

Yea, I have the same question, wondering if you can use a reward certificate and still get the 500 bonus points?

    • Jen

I wasn’t sure if you still get the points if your final total is under $10. I picked out 2 things for around $16 and just used 1 $5 Reward certificate. Spent a little over $11 total and will get $10 worth of points back. Not bad! Thanks for posting Collin!

    • Nikki

From my experience, Best Buy doesn’t always follow through on what they say either, so I don’t think it’s being greedy to ask the question about using a reward zone on a purchase.

    • Ashley57

We earned these certificates from Best Buy. I think it is a legitimate question to know if we can use them on an $11 purchase, pay $1 OOP and get $10 back. Anyone know?

      • Lindsay

Not sure but I hope so! You would think they would have said if it was before or after all discounts. But there is no specification. I hope so, just made my transaction was $12.99 before my two $5 certificates. Crossing my fingers, if not it’s ok, because I got something I needed for $2.99, and I am grateful 🙂

        • Lindsay

I wrote them on Facebook and this is what they said. Darn 🙁

Best Buy Hi Lindsay – the $10+ value is after all discounts. More info: https://bit.ly/YZICHf ^Coral

      • mel

no, that wont’ work. you will need to have a $10 or more purchase to get the bonus.

      • Ashley57

Here is the response I got from their FB page: Hi Sharon – Reward Zone certificates discount your total purchase value, so you would need to have a $10+ purchase total after Reward Zone certificates were applied to qualify. More info: https://bit.ly/YZICHf ^Coral

      • Suzy

Yeah– this is what i want to know!

    • mel

You need to have a purchase of $10 or more after any RZ certificate has been applied.

  8. Stacy

I ordered a $10 gift card, the CD I wanted for my daughter was $9.99 so I hope the gift card works and I will go to the store to get the CD or order online with free shipping 🙂

    • Molly

Did you order an e gift card? On the gift card page it states, “E-Gift Cards are not eligible for Reward Zone points unless purchased with a Reward Zone MasterCard.” I was going to do the same thing.

      • mel

another thing is if you use a GC to pay, the purchase isn’t eligible for points either. (unless you have an OOP)

    • An

Excludes gift cards. This was on the facebook page.

  9. Megan

I was under the impression you had to buy something from a specific list. When I clicked the link through Facebook, it provided me with a list of things I could buy to get the bonus points. Is this not the case? Thanks!

    • Annette

I don’t think you have to buy from the list, it doesn’t say that in the offer. I’m pretty sure that as long as your total is $10 or more, you will get the points. You have to use the link provided though, you can’t go through any other link, such as ShopAtHome or Ebates.

      • Megan

        Thank you!! 🙂

  10. Donna H.

    what are “qualifying purchases”?

    • Annette

      Purchase over $10

  12. amanda

Maybe I am missing something, but do I need to print anything to take into store? Or is it credited to my card automatically?

    • Molly

In the “see offer” section. It states, “To redeem, provide Reward Zone member number at purchase”

  13. paula

I am playing safe and paying out of pocket to make sure I get the $10,lol

  14. ak

do I need to print anything to take into store? Or is it credited to my card automatically?

  15. Elise

    Shopathome is 3% cb

  16. Jamie

Does anyone know how long it takes for these points to show up?

    • Molly

Per Best Buy’s Facebook page “the points will post in about 20 days as with all other purchases if you followed all terms of the offer.”

  17. Nadia

What if you made a purchase this past Saturday that is over $10.00 can you still get 500 points?! Pleaseet me know. Thanks

    • Ashley57

No, you will have to make another purchase starting today. You could possibly return what you have already bought and buy it again.

  18. christen

I’m thinking about doing this rewards thing from Best Buy to save points to go towards a new dish washer. Does anyone know when the points expire, or the expiration when you redeem them for certificates?

    • veronica0128

points expire 3 months after redeeming the certificate

  19. Jamie

Does anyone know how long it takes for these points to show up in your account?

    • Molly

Per Best Buy’s Facebook page “the points will post in about 20 days as with all other purchases if you followed all terms of the offer.”

  20. Catie

Sweet 🙂 Got a DVD I’ve been wanting for $4 after the reward–paid out of pocket just to be safe!!

  21. Ari

How long does it take for the 500 bonus points to post to your account? Anyone already see theirs?

  22. jimena

what I understand this will be a purchase of $10 cash min . so the points will show up 35 days after your purchase on your rewards account for them to make sure you dont return the item . returned items wont get points. I didnt ask them but thats what I think will happen with a regular purchase

  23. Hiro

$9.99 party kit is back. I got “cake pop” and “cup cake ” shipped! $19.98 + tax, will get 500 points! yay! Thank you, Collin!!!

  24. C. Lee Leo (@ceeleeleo)

Any idea if this will work with a price match? I’m not sure what I need but I know Best Buy always seems to have the most expensive DVDs and Blurays.

  25. Chels

I’m confused…how do we redeem this in-store? sorry!

  26. Kim G

Went to BB at lunch today, and confirmed that you cannot use any portion of either a BB gift card or Reward card for the $10 points promotion. You must spend at least $10 oop. They did think it would work if you used the gc or rewards cert for a portion of the purchase price, so long as you have a balance due oop of $10 or more, before taxes. We shall see. I’ve had other purchase promos for which I never got credit, always some reason or another….. Good Luck.

  27. Molly

This is interesting… per Best Buy Facebook page in comment section “Yes, iTunes cards are a qualifying purchase as long as all other terms of the offer are met. ^Coral” So you can buy a gift card, not just a Best Buy gift card

  28. Laura

So are the points added right away or later? Don’t see them in my account….

  29. Sandy

I popped into Best Buy on my way home this afternoon to pick up a 50-pack spindle of CD’s and was shocked to see the price increase. I just bought one in the beginning of February and it as $10.99. The same product today was $16.99. Same price on-line as well.

  30. Anita Myers

can you buy something for $9.99 and with tax is $10?
    thank you

  31. Kristen

I have over 1,000 points pending in my account today. This came from doing an online purchase – DVD for $15 and a packet of pens for $7. I used a $5 rewards certificate and paid $18 out of pocket. I received 500 point for that. The following day we went into Best Buy and pre-orderd The Hobit for $14.99, we used $15 in Reward Zone gift certificates. Because the item was 1cent less than our reward zone certificates we had to purchase a Twix for $1. Our total was $1.57 and I received another 500 points. I don’t know if they will stay since they said it was only good for one qualifying purchase, but the points are pending in my account. I hope this is helpful for anyone who might have questions.

  32. mayala03

One transaction as in one item or can it be multiple items in one shopping cart?

    Do preowned games qualify? Thx

  33. Rebe

Crazy company, they cant make up their mind! 🙁
