I love HP, I’ve done lots of great parties. The application on this one is different though – it appears to be sales based? Can anybody figure it out? It says you agree to promote and receive an incentive to do so. ??? Very odd for HP, I can’t figure out exactly what that means. I love normal House Parties, but I’m NOT up for selling people things. :/

    • Emily

I haven’t looked at the application but maybe you get something for the number of people that redeem the coupon and purchase a machine???

  2. Ciera

I got to host this party last year and it was actually the first party I had applied for to host and I was so excited when they sent me the Keurig Vue as my host gift. I absolutely love this brewer!

  3. Michelle

Yes I got to host this party and my family and friends loved it. My husband was especially happy with a brand new coffee machine. He loves it!!

  4. Missie B.

This would be perfect for my dad’s 78th birthday party! There will be lots of coffee drinkers there! LOL!

  5. NNY8666

I thought it was odd that the application asks if you have ever bought a groupon before. I have never saw that before on a HP application. I doubt I’ll get it anyways because I just got the Revlon party!!

  6. Lisa

So excited…I was chosen for the Redbook party today!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAH!!! Love House Party…Would love to try a Keurig!!

  7. Reese

Did you all do anything special to get considered?

  8. Rebecca C.

To those who have hosted a Keurig house party in the past, do you have to answer that you have a Keurig already to be considered?

    • Jessica

I’m not sure. Why not just be truthful?

    • dawn

They will know if you have a Keurig if you hosted another party or registered your pot. I finally purchased mine last year when they gave us 50% off because I never made it into the party. I still applied for the party because I would love to have one I can give me mom but I’m sure that I won’t get the party, but I would rather be truthful and see where that takes me.

A question for all of you who have been selected to host these parties: Is it possible to be selected if you do not participate in the “social media” sites? I go to facebook for the coupons, but other that I hate facebook and its practices, it’s invasion of personal privacy and use of your personal data for marketing purposes. I don’t twitter. I value my privacy and the privacy of my friends and family and don’t want our photos splashed over the internet for advertising purposes for any company. So is a person like me simply wasting their time applying for any of these parties? Thanks.

  10. dawn

I applied for the previous three parties and will apply for this one, but I purchased a Vue after not getting it last year. Would love to get in this year so that I could give one to my mom.

For those asking how they should answer to be considered, I think the best answer is to be honest!!! I have applied for TONS of House Parties and I’ve “won” a few and “lost” a lot. I think it’s really hard to tell what they are looking for in hosts. Sometimes I would post things on FB because they say that can help your chances and I wouldn’t get picked – sometimes I didn’t post anything and would still get the party. Just be truthful and don’t try to answer what you think they want you to say. Your honest answers might be the demographic that they are looking for!

    • dawn

Susie, I agree. I have applied for the Keurig party three times prior to this and I did pics, I did videos and still didn’t make it in and I am a HUGE coffee nut. I have made into parties when I really didn’t do all those things. They are looking for a specific demographic group and who knows what that is. Be truthful and let the chips fall. Good luck everyone.

    • Jessica

I agree. Last time I wasn’t chosen, but they did send out a code for 50% off of a machine. I didn’t use it at that time. I’m hoping to get that same offer if I am not selected this time. I’ll most certainly be treating myself to a Keurig this time around. I’ve wanted one for SOO long πŸ™‚

  12. Susan

Wow I just saw this Keurig at Target and it retails for $169.00!

  13. karen

I have hosted this party and the package is TERRIFIC! The only downside is that the Vue cups are harder to find than the K cups and they are not interchangeable. I have probably applied for 20 parties total and have hosted The Vue Party, Zumba Party, Ball Preserving Party-so it is possible to win. Also, on some applications I posted photos, videos and blogged but on some I did not do as much. I don’t think it really matters what social media you do or do not blog on – sometimes it is just random and you have to be quick to “accept”. Good luck ~!~

  14. Jeanine

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought you had to be willing to post invites online and also if chosen, post pics of your party on their site. Is not the whole purpose of this site to get the word out about products? If people have an issue with privacy than they would not be willing to do this, I would think. Again, I could be wrong, but that is what my understanding is of this site. If someone can have a party and invite their friends and family without the online invites and not have to post pics etc. then I suppose go for it.

    • karen

The invites are sent via email. They then have to accept and after party they are sent a survey to complete. You list the email addresses on the invite page and you add any special additions like asking to bring desserts – or depending on your “party theme” We had an afternoon coffee break party that included tea and hot chocolate. They sent mints, disposable cups and a very generous supply of samples to try out. I have not received any spam by applying for parties.

  15. Jennifer

I was selected as a hostess for a Vue party back in Sept. Yes, you must do online invites (giving out your friends’ e-mail addresses to HP), be able and willing to upload photos of your party and let HP use them as they wish, so if you’re at all concerned about privacy, this is not the sort of thing you want to do. The Vue is the “incentive” for someone who asked if one had to sell something to be a host.

    • Megan

I understand that – but I’m telling you, something is different here. It’s not a standard HP application. The machine can’t be the incentive, it’s included in the party pack right off the bat.

  16. Claudia

Oh wow. I sure would like to host this party or at least get one of those 50% coupons. I own a Keurig Platinum Plus and have been wanting to buy another for my office at work (I currently share my coworker’s) but have been on the fence about which I should get, should I get the same as what I already have or the Vue? I would like to taste coffee brewed on the vue before I spend all that money. Even though the price has gone down considerably since it first made its debut at $249. Last I checked Target had it at $169 with a $30 gc back. My worry is the cups, there isn’t a big selection and it makes me wonder why the price has dropped so much (no demand? not a good machine?). Anyway, I would love to get selected, I am huge coffee drinker, day and night! You can never have enough coffee or machines to brew it in. πŸ˜‰

    • Carissa

I was selected and would share the 40% off code with you when I get it… if you want. You wld have to order by 5/11 – after that its only 25% off. You can email me at ckgoodlet at gmail dot com if you’d like the code once I receive it. πŸ™‚

  17. anna

I would love the forty or fifty percent off code, I was not selected but would still buywith the coupon

    • Dena

I got selected to host, and once i get the coupons i can send you a code if you’ like. email me a denawong@gmail(dot) com.

  18. Michelle

Yay! I was selected too!!! I am so happy!!!

  19. Donna Sibaai

Thanks to the heads up from Hip2Save I applied for and was selected to host a Keurig Vue Party!!!! I am so happy, have been a Keurig fan for several years and use my machine every day, can’t wait to try the new Vue and share the experience with my friends:)
