Check out some of the great reviews on this vacuum:

“Carpet Cleaners for my family have been notorious for breaking after a few uses. I haven’t owned it long enough to say there is a difference but there is a big difference on how well it cleaned. Way better than the other brand we had which wasn’t a cheap one either. The separate water tanks is what I think makes this one better than the rest it just makes sense that they have to be split or your cleaning your carpet with the dirt you just washed out.”

“I would recommend this machine to anyone who has carpet – it’s that good. Previously I had the Bissell ProHeat machine and although it did the job, for a while, it was awkward. With that other machine I disliked the one container that held clean and dirty water. The Hoover SteamVac has separate containers for clean and dirty and you actually mix the shampoo into the clean water so you have more control over the mix itself. I love the attachments for stairs and upholstery as well.”

    Thank YOU, Collin!

Thank you!! My mom has been wanting to buy one for my sister-in-law because she is constantly borrowing my Mom’s. It isn’t a problem for my Mom, but with 3 kids, a dog and 2 cats, my sister-in-law could use her own. So Mom asked me to keep an eye out and of course when they were on clearance at Target a few months ago they were all gone at my store. I called my mom as soon as your post came in and ordered it. She is very excited to help out! Thanks for saving us money!

Thanks again Collin! I just got an e-mail that mine shipped. I ordered it at 9:15 am Eastern and by 3:30, they sent me a tracking number! Awesome! I also went through UPromise so I’ll get $7 back.

I own this steam vac, and have for about 3 years now. For the price it’s offered at, it’s a great buy for ‘maintenance’ cleaning. I bought it trying to save my carpets from pet stains and kids, and it did a great job. For $100, this is a great product. (But don’t bother buying the separate floor attachment for hardwood/tile floors, it’s useless)

With that being said though, I recently upgraded to the Max Extract 60, and it’s 10 times better (but it’s also twice the price). It cleans better and has a better design, but I guess that’s why you’re paying twice the price 🙂

If you don’t have $200 to spend though, the $100 one does just fine as long as you put a little more effort into the cleaning 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to provide us your experience, it told me what I needed to know. Not to spend the money on this one & get the Max. Much appreciated.

I also own this model and agree with Ashlie, it works well for regular maintenence BUT it doesn’t suck much of the water back up, leaves it in the carpet. not good for heavy duty use, pet accidents and such.

I had this same one for about 6 months and used it once every couple of weeks and it broke. It worked great til then, but not worth the money to me. The part that made the brushes spin cracked right in half.

I have this and have owned it since I think 2007. The one that I have doesn’t leave water in the carpet. As a matter of fact, it actually helped suck all the water that spilled all over our carpet when we had a water leak. I use mine at least every two weeks or as needed for pet accidents (vomit), repairmen walking around in their dirty shoes, etc.

It says Free Shipping but when you check out it says Shipping Not Available. Not available for store pickup. Expanded my search 2+ hrs away and no luck. Some other models on sale too. Just a heads up.

  8. Jen

Shipping is no longer available, and no other local stores within 2 hours have it for pick-up. BUMMER!

  9. Christina C

I really need a steam cleaner. Does anyone have any other great deals that they know of. I really wanted this. Bummed. I need to clean my carpets so bad.

This is only a few dollars more in the Amazon link. It comes up higher priced when you click the link, but click on more offers and use the coupon code. Mine with tax was $105. Amazon after the code was $111… if you have to pay tax, it really isn’t that much more expensive if you’re in need of one.

No shipping available and all the stores in my area are OOS! I have a Bissell and I am not happy with the clean water bladder and dirty water tank in one. I had this model before and should have stuck with it. So bummed I cannot order. 🙁

  11. Ray

No shipping at all. I am in the Denver area. What a bummer.

  12. crystal

Amazon has it with a 20% coupon you can clip. It made it $111.68 for me.

I have always rented a rug doctor for $20 once a year, and it has done the job very nicely on our crappy quality carpets. I have yet to be disappointed with the rug doctor rental!
