Happy Friday: 52 Reasons You Will Succeed
Sent from reader, Renee:
My daughter is graduating from college. We were going to give her money and a card, but I wanted to give her something special too. I have seen the 52 Reasons I Love You done with a deck of cards, so I thought I’d make a 52 Reasons You Will Succeed instead. It was easy, but time-consuming to make, and turned out cute.
You measure a template to cover the center of the cards, print out your sayings (I numbered mine too), and glue everything onto each card. The holes are punched 1/2 inch, and 1 inch from the top and bottom. I bought the rings at Michaels, and the lady in front of me gave me her coupon that she didn’t use, so all I paid was $1.27 after 40% off. I had all the other materials on hand. Now my daughter will always have a list of 52 of her best characteristics to view, and hopefully it will put a smile on her face!
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

That’s a very nice idea! Way to go, Mom:) And your daughter must be pretty awesome too:)
For a moment I read that Collin had a daughter graduating from college… and I thought… no way… impossible. Now I see this is from Renee.
Hehe that made me giggle!
There was a 12 year old in my graduating class many years ago at a major university. He is now a cardiologist. Lucky guy. Really a cool guy too, well adjusted.
I Think is great that he has success but he was cheated from his childhood. I graduated high school at barely 16 And success or not I want my two to three years back.
I agree Ketsy. You have your whole life to be an adult. Childhood goes so fast.
Ha! Tell me about it Laura. I’m 29 and I’ve done military, traveled, college and now kids but I felt like I live on fast forward. I could’ve spread those experiences a bit longer 😉
It is what he wanted! Let people live their life, not the one you think is right
I’m not getting involved with anyone’s lives, just stating my opinion which is part of my first amendment right. And what he wanted? I highly doubt a 9 year old is ready for high school or to even make that decision for himself and a 12 year old ready for the real world. There’s a structure in the United States for a reason. Also, if kids would get what they want all the time; what a world we would be living in?
This article is very nice! Both Em and Kelsey…easy there. Both of you stated your opinions and that is wonderful. Don’t take any comments personal. Please. Everyone is different. I wish you both could apologize to each other and say you both agree to have opposing views. We already have so much adversity in this life. As fellow couponers, let’s not get angry with each other. Okay 🙂
Great idea! Love it!
Very cute Renee!
Renee, this is a brilliant idea! Love it! Congrats to the grad.
Thanks for posting this, Collin! 🙂
Love it!! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea. My nephew graduate today can’t make it. No money or dogsitters. I’m going to have fun doing this.
Greatgift idea!!! Another way you could do it is make a customized set of actual playing cards on any of the photo sites (Shutterfly, etc) when there is a deal. I’ve gotten a set of customized cards (with a different photo on each one or with the same photo on each) for $5. Put a photo of the grad or something special to the grad on the website. Then on each of them add the 52 reasons 🙂
Yes! ArtsCow is great for this and they always have incredible deals (but slow shipping so plan ahead). I used this idea for Father’s Day and it was “52 Reasons You’re the Best Daddy” from our sons, 5 and 3.
