I love, love, love hip2save, however this “deal” on Organic Maple Syrup is not such a good “deal”. I regularly get Maple Syrup from either Wisconsin or New York State and I have never seen real maple syrup that was not organic!! Also this price for 16oz is not a good price…….

I love, love, love hip2save and I love, love, love maple syrup. HOWEVER, I have to say that this is not really a good deal on maple syrup. First, I have never seen real maple syrup that is not organic and second the price is not great…….
I find either Wisconsin maple syrup or New York state maple syrup at a number of stores for a much better price.

Agreed!! My family has a maple farm and a quart of locally made stuff is $19… And there’s no way to have non-organic maple syrup if its actually real! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am confused by both of your comments(nicubabe and Samantha) . “I have never seen real maple syrup that was not organic!” and “thereโ€™s no way to have non-organic maple syrup if its actually real!” Please explain if u don’t mind. It says that this is Maple Valley (Grade B) ORGANIC Maple Syrup. I typically buy 32oz of another brand(always Grade B) at a costly price. So, I was considering purchasing this as I have been considering ordering from Maple Valley’s site for awhile now. What’s non-organic about this syrup? What do u view as a good price?

K, the maple syrup from Maple Valley is organic BUT all REAL maple syrup is organic. Maple sap is tapped from maple trees. In the US and Canada any syrup labeled as “Maple” syrup must be made almost entirely from maple sap. Maple syrup is graded in the US. Grade A is a lighter amber and Grade B is very dark with a rich maple flavor. Pancake syrups or “imitation” maple syrups are most often made from high fructose corn syrup. They have no genuine maple content. I usually pay $18-$22 for 32oz. Maple syrup is and always has been organic but I think many producers now add the Organic title because so much emphasis is being placed on buying and eating organic. Hope this helps! If you search on Amazon.com and other websites you can find a number of maple syrup producers. I also am able to buy it at several stores where I shop (Chicago area) but I guess that depends on where you live. Hope this helps!
