Acopoco.com: *HOT* Free $5 Credit (I Snagged a Free Salt Shaker + Free Shipping!)

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

Acopoco.com, a new to me site that claims to have lower prices than Amazon, is currently offering up a FREE $5 credit when you sign up through my referral link here! Even better, once you claim your $5, you are eligible to participate in their Give 5 Get 5 program where you get to give a $5 gift to all your friends, and when they claim it you GET $5 for each friend!

Also, the FREE $5 credit you score should be super easy to spend since they have lots of items priced at or under $5… groceries, beauty products, and lots more! And, Acopoco.com offers up a buy now option where you never pay more than anyone else and receive a refund amount if at least 3 more people buy the same item you are.

Screen Shot 2013-06-19 at 4.44.51 PMI was able to score a completely FREE Real Salt (all natural sea salt) 9-oz shaker for FREE with my credit AND this item also qualified for FREE shipping, so I didn’t spend a dime out-of-pocket! 🙂 Please note that you do have to enter credit card info, however, your card will not be charged if you spend less than your credit amount.

(Thanks, Erin!)

Website is SUPER slow…I’m still trying to checkout! However, if anyone is still signing up, I’d love it if you used my link. Thank you!

If the website loads slow for you try signing up via this link: https://www.acopoco.com/claim_1962

For me it loaded up right away and I was able to get my free $5 credit to buy Listerine! now my mouth will be fresh lol.

Alma, why the repeat posts of your link?

  3. bfam

While it’s nice to use others’ links, just take a look at the claim #’s listed in the posts so far. Just count up “Alma” and Claim 1880 for example. She posted her link at least five times (I just did a quick glance).

The referral code 1880 is posted under the names – Alma, Dorian, Victoria.

The referral code 1555 is posted under the names Chris, Joey, N, nhl, and Lola.

Nice scam, your fraudsters. Get off hip2save and get your referrals elsewhere.

Wow, I just noticed this. That is so not cool!

    • Ceci

You can accuse other people but you could be doing just the same thing. Maybe they aren’t the only ones. It’s best to keep comments to yourself instead of start drama. It’s not necessary on here.

      • Shauna R.

Why would they point out that people are doing it, so that if they were doing it also, they would be found out (because people are now watching for that sort of thing)? I don’t think they were trying to start drama….I think they were just warning us that those particular people are not being really honest. (and yes, there could be others).

      • bfam

Ceci, it would be obvious if I were doing the same thing. There would be multiple posts with the same referral code. I was merely trying to make people aware of it, so they didn’t pick one of those codes to use and picked Colin’s or one that was only posted once.

Perhaps you were one of the multiple posters if you feel it was wrong of me to alert people of it. For the record, I didn’t even participate in the deal when I saw how Alma/Victoria/Dorian and Chris/Joey/N/nhl/Lola were abusing the venue of Hip2save. I was simply warning people to give a second look at which referral code they used. It’s so generous of Colin to allow people to post their own referral codes and such a shame when people take advantage of that privilege.

    • Shauna R.

Not cool….makes me lose faith in humanity! But thanks for pointing it out! Now I know to look out for that.

    • Rebecca C

      used yours 🙂

      • brieanna

        thanks

    • Ana

      I used your link 🙂

      • brieanna

        thanks so much.

How is everyone getting through….are you using IE or Chrome?

  5. Courtney

I still can’t checkout…Anyone else having the same problem?

    • Naureen

also, is anyone else getting a TON of emails form this company?

      • Michelle

Yes! 30 something of the same email… Kinda odd.

      • Katie

I was just coming to see if I was to only one. I got 48 welcome emails!

        • Shauna R.

Maybe they are accidentally getting sent to a few people…I still don’t have any emails from ordering last night–or any welcome emails. LOL

  6. Carrie

I used someones link but I don’
t know how to put my link up, could someone help me.

  7. Amie

Okay, I know that everyone is busy posting links but I would love to start seeing comments about what people are buying and if they are actually able to check out? I’ve been trying to check out for about an hour so far and I’m getting no where.

    • brook

Totally. Me too! I’ve been trying for an hour or longer to no avail.

    • Shauna R.

I finally checked out last night when the site starting running a little faster.

  8. Jessica

Look at all you cheapskates! Hip was so nice to post her link. We should be thanking her & not posting your own links like spam!

    • Katie

In other posts like this, she said to feel free to post our own links in the comments. I’m assuming she’s still ok with it. You’re more than welcome to click on whatever you want.

    • Cheapskate

      Dear Jessica,
Sorry if anyone offended you. You are right that Collin seems to be a VERY nice person, but she didn’t post this (and everything else) as simply as a nice gesture. The fact is that this website is a readership and advertising sales driven business and we the readers, are the customers. From the posts you can see that many, many people used the business owners’ link as they OFTEN do while others chose to help out fellow customers who don’t have access to thousands of people likely to click through their referral links. Most people are not bothered by that and do not see it as “spam,” and I doubt that Collin does either. If you don’t like what you’re reading, go to the next post. Also, is it really so hard to imagine that there would be any “cheapskates” on a website where the sole purpose is to save money and get freebies, deals and bargains? I’m thinking….no.

      • Claudia

Cheapskate, I agree with you 100%!

        • Cheapskate

          Thanks Claudia!
