Acopoco.com, a new to me site that claims to have lower prices than Amazon, is currently offering up a FREE $5 credit when you sign up through my referral link here! Even better, once you claim your $5, you are eligible to participate in their Give 5 Get 5 program where you get to give a $5 gift to all your friends, and when they claim it you GET $5 for each friend!

    FYI – I would not use this website, it is sketchy. Decided to go ahead and ordered 2 different teas for a total of $4.91 so would be free with my $5 credit. As soon as I checked out the website went crazy with all this random writing. I checked my email and have 21 emails from Apococo.com within 20 mins of each other from today. I tried to log into my account and it says my email or password is wrong (it’s not). After putting in my card information I can’t log in, no email to confirm my order, and the website is acting crazy. I’m worried… don’t do it!

        It was doing that same thing to me. Honestly, I think they just got everwhelmed and now the site is down for maintenance. I ordered something last night and still haven’t gotten a confirmation either, though, so we’ll see if it actually sends.

    Website is down. Hoping they honor our credits. For the record I got 32 emails from them last night & I highly doubt I had that many referrals so I think there is some major glitch going on. Leave it to us Hip2Savers to break a website! Haha 😉

    I woke up this morning to 51 order confirmation emails(I know I only clicked on the place order button once, I think I only saw it once) and the same number of “You forgot something” emails and a bunch of welcome emails! Should be interesting to see what happens. 🙂

    Yikes!
    Never could get to check out last night and I had a $15 credit after two people used my link. But then I started seeing this message:

    “The website is getting better. Acopoco is currently unavailable as to a scheduled maintenance the night between June 19 and June 20. Our technicians are working on it to improve and make Acopoco even better. It will be up shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience.”

    This morning I got a BUNCH of emails last night saying someone had used my link and I’m sure that has to be a glitch.

    Not sure if this site is going to last. The Navigation and search function are seriously flawed. I clicked on Beauty items and it had the weirdest things come up – including bug spray and cat products – lol!

    They have serious issues that have nothing to do with traffic, so I guess we’ll see if they make it.

    “Because of many fraud cases credits will now first been given when the one you refer makes his first purchase. We are sorry that we have to do it that way, but unfortunately people cheated the system.”

    I’m not even sure what this means…Probably that they were not expecting the response that they received!

      My guess would be fraud relates to people referring themselves using their own multiple email addresses just so they can get themselves credits.

        I doubt it was fraud as much as their own system being messed up. Somehow THEY kept sending me (and others I see here) dozens pf emails overnight Wednesday night and Thursday morning saying someone had joined my network and I know no one probably did because I had been trying to order and never got to because the site was down!

        No one could have gotten on there to use my referral link because the site was down. So it was probably really THEIR issue and they have no idea how much legitimate credit anyone has so they have to throw it out because THEY messed up. Think about it – the site was so messed up from the get go that very few people would have had the time or inclination to try to defraud them by creating multiple accounts and using the referral link etc. How many uses of a referral link would trigger their fraud-o-meter anyway? I’m sure lots of people used Collin’s link and that wasn’t fraud. I have three actual email addresses that I use and i didn’t even think of using them all because of the hassle it was to sign up once and navigate their site.

        Sorry for the rambling. but that site is REALLY messed up and I don’t think it’s fair for them to promise one thing (and have people actually get the deal) and then change the rules midstream because THEY messed up, which I strongly suspect is the case!

      Well, that stinks! I had all my family members sign up with their emails (but we would all be using the same IP address). They should have said the credits would only be one per household…..because that’s technically what it is now.
      I hope they mean from here on out, is when they will only allow one account per IP address–and they will stay true to their word of not deleting credits.

      On a side note, the shipping is outrageous now. I doubt my order will even ever come. Not impressed with the site, anyway. Like someone else said, they need to work on a lot of technical things, like the search results, and more product information.

        They didn’t remove any credits, And i had signed my mom up from my house. Also I found a few things still have free shipping. I was able to place an order but no email confirmation. We shall see what happens. I was a little weary entering my CC info after all this but if they try to charge me I’ll just dispute it. I have screenshots with my $0 order just in case.

            Sippy cups for my son. Free standard shipping 5-10 days instead of 4.99 shipping 5-7 days. I’m still yet to receive an order confirmation even though its listed in my account under “your orders.” HTH

    I just noticed there’s a little more than just sippy cups that are foogo brand. They have a few straw cups and an insulated food jar. All have free shipping. Anyway, hope that helps someone.
