Thanks exp 7/1 ONLY at Walmart

  2. tanya

it wouldn’t let me print it out 🙁

    • Jessica F.

You have to have the newest version of Java installed. I was a little reluctant to install because of all the people having trouble, but it is important when free crackers are on the line. lol I have not had any problems since I installed.

      • guest24

Jessica, you are LUCKY to be able to install it. I even called my “computer tech” and even he couldn’t install it on my netbook, after 2 hours of trying. Seems all the GOOD coupons are on JAVA now…. Darn !! I hate that. Pooey.

        • Tammy

On my computer I have to watch up in my browser — a red box will start blinking — I click on that tell it to activate — then after a couple of second another box pops up in the middle of my screen and I have to click on “Run” — then it will print. Have to go through the whole process again for the second coupon

          • guest24

Just won’t work….. Now, I’ve tried EVERYBODY’S suggestions…. still no luck. Even went to Chrome…. still won’t install. Drat ! But thanks for all the help <3

    • Lisa

When I have trouble printing SmartSource Qs, I go to the SmartSource website and print a Q I have not previously printed. Then when I go back to the original website where I was having trouble before, the Q will print. Somehow printing one from the SmartSource website activates Java on my computer. I know it sounds odd, but it works for me!

    thank you

  4. shelaghc

For anyone in Pittsburgh, PA – both Giant Eagle and Target accept all competitor coupons. So this coupon can be used at either of those stores as well.

    • colleen

Thanks. I tried a coupon similar to this a couple months ago at Giant Eagle and I was told that they do not accept printable coupons for “free” products, only cents off.

      • shelaghc

There are some franchise GEs which won’t accept printed free coupons. But if you go to the corporate owned stores, they all do.
Market District in East Liberty are particularly coupon friendly. I’ve never had a problem with printed free coupons there.

      • Shayla

Colleen is right, it’s in Giant Eagle’s policy that they do not accept free product coupons from the internet. In addition, they are getting more strict about BOGO coupons too so beware if you do try to use them. Oh, and the kicker today, GE would not allow me to use the $1/1 Duncan Hines creation flavor packet, they were on clearance for $.49 and I tried to buy 2 to satisify the coupon but they wouldn’t take it =(

        • shelaghc

Again, it depends upon whether you’re in a franchise store or a corporate store.
The store at the Waterfront is very coupon friendly alone with Market District in Shadyside.
But the store at Edgewood Towne Centre is sometimes pickier. That’s because Edgewood is a franchise store, not corporate.

I’ve *never* had a coupon turned down – particularly the ones that are in competition with Target or Whole Foods.

          • Vanessa Hudson

Thanks for the GE tip! I also live in the PGH area. I tried to use a coupon with a Publix logo at the Braddock Hills store..and they wouldnt accept it.

            • shelaghc

I sometimes shop at Edgewood Towne Centre, but I don’t tend to use a lot of coupons there. The Waterfront GE and Market District are both *very* coupon friendly because of the area competition. With Target, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s all in spitting distance in East Liberty, the coupon rules are extremely loose.

One time I had a coupon for 75¢ on 2 large Betty Crocker cookie mixes, but they had the smaller ones on sale at 2 for $2. I figured I’d give it a try since they also double the coupons. It worked! I got two small BC cookie mixes for 50¢ with my doubled coupon!

            • shelaghc

Downside is – after I printed two of these – I called and neither they nor Target carry this item.

And I don’t shop at Walmart.

          • amy

From the giant eagle CORPORATE coupon policy:

Printed Internet couponsThe coupon must be obtained from a legitimate site.Maximum of two (2) “like” coupons will be accepted.“FREE with no purchase necessary” and “Buy One Get One Free” coupons will not be accepted.

            • shelaghc

That may be on the corporate website, but that’s absolutely not my experience.

I have *never* been turned down with a valid coupon at Market District or the Waterfront Giant Eagles.

GE is highly competitive. And with Costco, Big Lots, Target, and other stores on and near the Waterfront, they’re determined to draw the traffic back to that store.

And competition is even more fierce in East Liberty since Target has a full supermarket there. Plus with Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods so close by, management at Market District never turns down a coupon unless it’s expired.

Heck, Market District even accepts coupons from pet supply stores and the food coop!

And I use BOGO coupons there all the time too.

            • Shayla

ladies, I’m in Cbus ohio so we may have a few differences but I was simply saying it is in their policy that they will not accept free internet coupons. In addition, they have been more leery on the BOGO too. I frequent the same store and I’m known for my coupons so they do allow me some exceptions but I know for a fact that they will not take the free coupon; besides, has anyone even seen these on the shelves? Our area doubles coupons $.99 and under and back when there were the $.75/1 coupons I could not locate them anywhere (not at GE, Meijer, or Kroger). Was just wondering if anyone has seen them, as I have yet to in my area =)

    • Lisa

shelaghc, I’m sure you were not aware of this, but I thought you might like to know for future reference that what you did with the BC cookie mix Qs is considered coupon fraud. Even if the register “takes” them, if you knowingly use a coupon for the wrong item, that is against the law.

  5. sandy

I emailed to my iphone the Walmart website page advertising the free coupon because we all know this is going to be an issue at the register !

    • Beanoto4

      GOOD IDEA !!!!!!

      • Beanoto4

My coupons were denied. They would not even look at their website that I had sent to my phone. So I sent off my complaint email. We’ll see…

    • Sarah

I had no problem with using these coupons at Walmart today. They scanned.

  6. jennifer

don’t forget you can print twice. 🙂

  7. j

    any other stores have these?

  8. Karen

Thank you! I am starting a snack bar at our non-profit office to raise money for our scholarship program for young adults with autism, this will be a perfect addition! Thanks as always Colin!

    • Karen

Didn’t have them at our Walmarts…grrr

  9. Blair

It made me download a new version of Java, but it didn’t work anyway, ugh!

    • Jessica F.

It is important to restart you computer. If you have already done that and it still doesn’t work, you may need to delete older versions of Java that are still running.

      • Blair

Thanks, Jessica F, restarting worked! 🙂

    • Tammy

On my computer I have to watch up in my browser — a red box will start blinking — I click on that tell it to activate — then after a couple of second another box pops up in the middle of my screen and I have to click on “Run” — then it will print. Have to go through the whole process again for the second coupon

    • Dana

Also, for others that are having this problem, it gave me a Java update message too, I went back and clicked on the link again and it worked the 2nd time…

  10. Alyssa

I’m not even gonna bother, my Walmart is extremely finicky about internet printables. I can’t imagine if I had an internet printable for a free item!

    • Steph

      Agreed.

    • Tia

Same here. There is no way my Walmart would take this coupon.

    • Amy Mac

Mine either! I get hassle over every coupon, even the Free item coupon that came mailed from them! It’s right in their coupon policy no free IPs. Why would they do this?!

  11. brandice

Printed my two with ease now hoping for no problems at the register

  12. Jessica F.

Thanks Collin! I am hoping that Walmart has informed at least the CSM that these coupons will be circulating, although we all know that Walmart is not that organized! :o)

    • Deb

Brother, is that an understatement. 🙁

  13. Valerie L.

    Printed. Hoping it works!

  14. Candy

I just sent off a quick email to Corporate asking how we’re suppose to redeem this coupon vs their corporate policy. Will share if I get a response.

  15. Jenni

Mine printed too with no problem……now all I have to contend with is the STORE, but hopefully it will not be an ISSUE, keeping my fingers & toes crossed on this one!

  16. axhilli

Can’t get it to print not sure why its just sitting in my printer not doing anything. Well I probably would have been told I can’t use it anyways.

  17. Shannon

I can never get coupons to print from smart source and I have a brand new imac that is less than 3 months old. just ridiculous that I have trouble with this… any tips?

    • Kathy

Have you tried different browsers. I went months without being able to print on my mac smartsource, redplum, or target coupons. I finally got them to print a couple months ago and have no idea what changed. I know that my husband has recently made sure that absolutely everything is up to date and I made sure that all the coupon printing programs are up to date.

    • Tammy

On my computer I have to watch up in my browser — a red box will start blinking — I click on that tell it to activate — then after a couple of second another box pops up in the middle of my screen and I have to click on “Run” — then it will print. Have to go through the whole process again for the second coupon

    • Rachael

I also have a brand new imac. I had the page that said Java not detected so it can’t print. I opened another tab and went to java. There is a link to check which version is on your computer. I did that and it said that it was not enabled. I clicked that and I got a pop up asking if I want Java to run. I said yes and then my printer started up. I went back to the smartsource page and hit the back button. I now have two coupons. Gonna try at Walmart today.

  18. Shannon

Says my java is not detected, and I checked my settings and it is checked to enable java script.. ughh too tired for this.

    • galois

Java and Javascript are two different items, believe it or not! Check for Java.

    • guest24

Shannon., I can not get the new JAVA either. My “tech” tried for 2 hours a couple of months ago. Even HE couldn’t get it to work…You and I are missing out on some really good coupons. Gosh, I hate that, because before JAVA updated, I could use it just fine..

  19. Suzy

Now, how is Walmart gonna refuse my “Redeemable at Walmart” freebie coupon? Maybe it is my you-figure-it-out-this-is-your-job attitude but I rarely have cash register issues, regardless of whether it is Walmart or mt local grocer. I think people back down too easily. Don’t get embarrassed. Hold your ground. Confidence is the key– which is sad but true.

    • Brenna

amen to that, I once had to have my transaction re-rang at cust. serv. because the person at the register messed up when scanning my coupons, and even brought a supervisor over who said that I copied my coupons, because I had used recycled paper with expired coupons on the back. I just held my ground and it all worked out in the end.

    • Andrew

Self Checkout (if available) is the way to go.
The machine doesn’t talk back to you and doesn’t get grumpy.

      • Tia

        No self-checkout in my stores.

      • Amy Mac

Did you try these at self checkout? Any problems?

  20. Mike b

smartsouce doesnt work for me either… i gave up on them a long time ago…

    • Tammy

On my computer I have to watch up in my browser — a red box will start blinking — I click on that tell it to activate — then after a couple of second another box pops up in the middle of my screen and I have to click on “Run” — then it will print. Have to go through the whole process again for the second coupon

    • guest24

Me either, MIKE…. in fact, after my “tech” tried for 2 hours, now when I turn on the computer, there is a pop-up that says: “Unable to locate suitable Java Runtime Enviornment on this machine”….. So, there you have it….. POOEY !!!

      • Ann

Guest24 what you are supposed to do is completely uninstall java from your computer, go in and remove its entries in the registry, then install the latest version of java.

  21. Andrew

Thanks. Might try this in the morning if I dare.
I’ll travel to the other location I sometimes frequent, and will use the self checkout lane.

  22. kim

Why does this need to be a smartsource coupon. I can not print from smartsource on any of my computers even though i have updated my java and made sure it was turned on.

    • Melanie

I got a message that it could not detect my Java. So I hit my browser back button once, which brought me to the screen where you see the blue status bar and then after a few seconds it printed. The second cpn printed with no issues.

    • Tammy

On my computer I have to watch up in my browser — a red box (looks like a little lego block) will start blinking — I click on that tell it to activate — then after a couple of second another box pops up in the middle of my screen and I have to click on “Run” — then it will print. Have to go through the whole process again for the second coupon

  23. Jen

Just an FYI. I printed two of these and had no problems whatsever using them at my walmart. Good luck to everyone else!

    • Leigh P.

Did they scan automatically or did they have to manually enter the coupon?

      • Jen

They just scanned them, but had to enter the amount if I remember correctly.

  24. KK

If you have problems using Smart Source and you use Chrome, try viewing the page in IE. Or you might disable popups. I couldn’t print from Chrome, but it worked fine in IE—and I was able to print 2.

  25. Denise B

Check carefully for peelies! I got 2 packages with $1.50 peelies, other packages had 75-cent peelies. I should have taken them off before I got to the register, though, since the cashier tried to use them. (I found the display with peelies in a center aisle, far from the crackers.) My cashier had a problem with the free item coupons until she called a manager, who knew about the deal, and pointed out that the PIN number was different for each coupon. Luck, all! Thanks, Collin!

  26. Boonie D.

Got my 2 now I hope there isn’t a problem using them at Walmart. Thank u Collin.

  27. brandice

Used mines in black and white ink with no probkem in Decatur Ga walmart this morning!!! Thanks Collin

  28. Andrew

I got mine this morning at my local Walmart.
Used the self checkout. The crackers were found on the side of an endcap.
2.78 each despite the header saying 1.78.

After the first coupon scanned, it says assistance is needed. Whoever in charge of the self checkouts came, entered her employee ID and hit finished and nothing happened. She did this twice. Finally on the third shot, she entered the 2.78 price and it went through.

2 for FREE and no tax. Each box comes with 1.50/1 peelie. That’s a pretty good deal of 1.28 next time but FREE is better. Dates on both packages weren’t too bad. One said 8/13/13 the other was 9/6/13. The 1.50/1 coupon is good until sometime in August.

    • Rachael

Thanks for letting us know that someone got it to work.

  29. Brittany

I called my walmart and spoke to my favorite csm. She said they would not accept it, but that it was weird it was on their website!

  30. axhilli

It printed blank because I’m out of ink. I would have liked them but I honestly don’t feel like arguing with people at Walmart about it.

    • ptd

My printer ran out of ink as well =( I hope its still good on Monday when I get to work! Lol.

  31. Rob N.

Just redeemed (4) coupons at my local Walmart with no hassle. Coupon automatically took the amount off…the cashier only had to print the amount on the coupon. I have two computers and printed twice on each laptop. Thanks!

  32. C

i can never print coupons from smart source or redplum and i’ve tried everything. even if i could print this great coupon, i doubt my walmart will accept it. they are very picky about BOGO coupons so i can only imagine the sort of trouble i will get with this free coupon.

  33. v

I tried umpteen times to print this coupon. Must have been busy traffic flow within the link at that time. I got the java, etc….prompt. I have had it installed and knew that couldn’t have been the reason I couldn’t get any prints.
I waited a while and just recently went back to the link and had no problem printing a couple coupons.

  34. Stacie

I just went to Walmart this morning and used the coupons. I bought 2 of them and the coupon automatically deducts the price. No problems for once!

    • Shayla

did you do them on the same transaction? Looks like above it was giving a prob doing more than one per trans? would love to know…absolutely hate Walmart but since I have access to several coupons, may be worth a shot =)

      • Wren

Totally, Shayla! I do NOT enjoy shopping at Walmart, but eventually I get enough coupons saved up that I have to go there 🙂

    • Jen

I have done this, but I really think every one of us should write to these internet coupon sources like Smartsource, Coupons.com, Save.com, Coupon Network and ask them to create an online page that defines the coupon terminology (lingo) so that stores have a source of reference when they train their cashiers and managers. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve had to explain the difference between “per purchase” and “per transaction”. It causes a huge delay, long lines and hurt feelings (insults hurled at customers, like at the one commenter above who was asked if her coupons were copied. If the different pin numbers on each coupon is not enough to convince them that the coupons are legitimate, the coupons can easily be verified online to check if they have already been used). Before Walmart or any other chain store releases a promotion like this, store exclusive printable coupons for FREE items, I think corporate has the responsibility to contact EACH store in every part of the United States and inform them of this deal so as not to upset the customers. I think businesses shouldn’t make their customers feel good and happy by offering the promise of FREE item and then allow its employees to hurl insults at their customers and take the joy out of it.

      • Sarah

        AMEN!

  35. Mel

Target will gladly take this coupon! I like Target way better than Walmart.

    • J

Target takes competitor coupons? I saw someone mention this elsewhere in the comments, but I have never heard this before? Fantastic if this is the case!

      • Ashley57

Target matches competitor prices. I don’t think most take competitor coupons, and it is not part of their policy.

  36. Lanie

Hahahahahaha. About time Walmart does something with these stupid cookies. I work at Walmart. A ton of these cookies came in months back as an “Walmart Exclusive” and they just didn’t sell no matter where that poor Lance cracker man put these things, lol. He would constantly put coupons on and they just sat there screaming, “buy me, buy me!” People ignored them.

I printed mine off, my store better take my coupons! If not, I’ll start a revolt.

    • Jen

That last sentence. LOL. That’s one way to promote a product and also a
way to gain/retain a customer’s loyalty by offering something like samples or FREE items once in a while. A tax break too for the business.

  37. meg

No problems here in Canton GA … I was able to print 6 from our three computers here, and the checkout lady gave me zero issues. Paid .33 tax but count me as happy!

  38. Janet

Called my wal-mart and talked to the manager he said bring them in and get in touch with him, I did and he okayed them! I had 4 coupons (2 computers) they went right thru no beep, no problems period!!! I love Walmart I never have problems couponing there!! Good luck to wlll

  39. steph

my walmart had 2 dollar peelie on them…not bad for 78cents each

  40. Amy

My Walmart in central NH isn’t very coupon friendly, but they accepted these coupons without any problem. I bought 6 boxes, (all in 1 transaction), and used 6 coupons.
    A great deal!

    • Stacey

Which Wal-Mart…I couldn’t find these in Portsmouth, NH today near the mall.

      • Amy

Concord supercenter. There were $1.50 coupons on the boxes too.

  41. Brandi

My Walmart refused to take them and then refused to take any of the other coupons I had 🙁 Even the ones out of the newspaper.

    • Candy

      Brandi,
Assuming all of your coupons were good – Email Walmart corporate and lodge a complaint against them. I did this twice and the District mgr. called me and told me he’d take care of educating his employees, once again. He gave me his name and tel# to call him when they were “acting up” again ! Worked great for the next 6 months and he left. I’m sure I’ll be emailing them again soon !

      • Brandi

Thanks, that’s what my sister said to do too. I called. They were all good. This coupon just caused trouble for everything else. They would not take my gerber baby food coupons from the newspaper, the oscar meyer printable, my ice cream coupons. nothing. When I pointed to the “only at walmart” on the coupon and told her 2 times if was off of their website she said “well, that’s strange, we don’t take these”. ugh. The funniest part was that my husband and I split our shopping into 2 carts. I took the 2 small kids with the groceries, he got dog food, towels, toiletries and took my older daughter to get a bike. They checked out (we had met in the middle and he took some of the baby food and a couple of other coupon items). They came back inside the store to help me with the rest of the groceries.. they were allowed to use their coupons, some of the same ones I had, but I was refused all because of these darn crackers! I was treated like I was making these things at home! My husband had just spent over $210 at the next register for heavens sake! I ended up not buying my groceries because there were 2 people ahead of me in line and I was in line for 35 minutes. They held me up another 20 minutes trying to verify the $1/2 gerber baby food coupon after trying 2 times to verify the cracker coupon, them my Mars $2 ice cream coupon! I finally told them to just give me my coupons back. It was 90 degrees and I live 20 minutes away. I had lost of frozen food and I’m sure it was already melted or it definitely would have been before I could get home and they were still making me wait for the coupons. NOT a good experience shopping with 3 kids!

        • Brandi

and I still need to go grocery shopping….

        • Ann

Personally I would have just returned everything else including the bike right there and then.

  42. donna

Anyone know a link that shows the actual coupon n not just the print button? I print from my cell, but coupon has to show 🙁 its just printing the print button on screen. Ugh

  43. Larkin

These days I have to be in the right state of mind to even attempt to try to use a coupon at my local Wal-Mart in SW Virginia. To say they are not coupon friendly is a gross understatement!

    • Sarah

      Same here in Richmond 🙁

  44. rosebudds

I called the Wal-Mart in my area and spoke to Manager and he said he would take them. I gave him the address and he saw it for himself. Of course he said Wal-Mart hardly ever offers coupons, which is not true so I would call and get the okay from a Manager first.

  45. theresia

my East TN store took mine.My c
ashier went and asked another cashier and then she came back and punched in the $2.78 price for the coupon. Only had 4 boxes of the peanut butter on plain crackers on the shelf though.

  46. Deana

My Walmart doesn’t sell these. In fact, they rarely sell any of these great deals. I’ve been carrying the Dole Banana Dippers coupon everywhere I go until last night…threw it away because no one carries it. Guess what? It’s at Walmart TODAY! ; (

    • shandelle

Same! Although I did see them at Meijer (if you have those stores) but they weren’t on sale at cost something very high like $3.79 or $4.79 or something so I decided to pass.

    • shandelle

Same! I really wanted to try those. The only place I ever found them was at Meijer (if you have that store) but they weren’t on sale and cost too much, something around $4 or more and not a good price even with the coupon. Too bad, they look really good.

  47. Jessica

Ladies my hubby works for Snyder lance and he said ALL Walmart should accept this coupon we are paying Walmart a lot of $$ for this deal! If you have trouble talk to the store manager! Or the grocery manager.

  48. Brandy

Worked just fine in East Texas! (Although all of the peelies had been removed.)

  49. Gigi Gruttadauria

    thanks got 2 !!!

  50. Sasha

I redeemed one of my 1’s this morning @ the Perimeter WM here in GA. I used self-ckout, as always, the q prompted the attendant to assist-she entered price manually, as well as the two $1.50 Folger’s q’s I had with me too! A buck overage on those-she never blinked. 🙂
