Uh…money maker? This week you can buy two MLB the show for $39.99 each, and get a free $50 gift card, which is essentially $30 for both, then turn them in for $48!
Thank you great idea!
Anyone try this? Let us know if it works.
I am curious too. I feel like I’d end up with 2 video games and no game system to play them on with my luck.
I just did it I did in store pick up and the walked right over to customer service and traded them in. They had to open them but I was able to trade them in and got back $48, and my $50 gift card will be coming in the mail. Also perk of this is the money you used to buy the games goes towards your reward zone points and eventually a $5 cert! Thank you again for the great idea!
This has bad Karma written all over it. I’m all for doing overage on coupons, but this just falls under deceitful practices. To each his own, but I’d rather have a clear conscious.

Agreed.
Definitely agreed!!! This is why stores stop doing promotions like this.
Doing it that way, yeah, I agree. But I have no problem buying the games and selling them on ebay. Looks like after shipping and paypal fees and such, I’ll pay $24 out of pocket for a $50 Best Buy gift card. ๐ Done and Done!
Completely agree, Kelli. That just doesn’t feel right.
Just watch, because some are doing that Best Buy will not do these kind of promotions anymore. Only takes a few to mess it up for the rest of us who try to do this the right way. Like saving a bit of money..never fails.
Do not go by the trade in pricing online. Each Best Buy will base their trade in value by the number of copies that store currently has in stock and the popularity of it. I just traded in some games and the online price quoted 6 but I only got 4. The guy explained that this was the reason for the difference. This was still better than Gamestop since many of the games were old.
Its giving 10 cents for my kids movies…
