My Dollar General will not accept internet coupons. The manager said that it is at their personal discretion whether to accept them or not. I can only use manufacturer or DG coupons. 🙁

Came across a 50 cents off one coupon on the Family Dollar site. Not sure what the price of theirs is. Not sure what size packages they carry. Not sure if they stack manu and store coupons. I haven’t tried that yet.
All day today when I print from red plum, it automatically prints a third coupon when I print my second. I don’t want to get into trouble. It has different numbers than the other two. Is this happening to anyone else?

My dollar general is saying that because the computer won’t take both coupons that I can only use one. Anyone else run into this?

I just used my coupons at DG. What a mess. Their computer wouldn’t allow them to use both. My store ended up changing the price to 1.00 each so I got my savings. I hope corp. fixes this soon.
My sister just called and said she had the same problem, would only take one coupon, manager had to price adjust the toilet paper to $2 and use the manufacturers coupon, said it was a pain in the butt,lol.
My store tried putting the 2 coupons in manf. first, DG first, changing the price to 2.00 computer wouldn’t take the manf. coupon and finally adjusting the price to $1.00 and keeping the coupons. I was happy they tried so hard since this is the only tp my husband wants me to buy.
I had to go to two stores before they would over ride it. They didn’t like having to do it and treated me like a criminal. :/ the manager tried to argue with me that I couldn’t use both coupons. The other manager argued that the DG coupon is only good on 12 packs. Even though it doesn’t list a size restriction. What a headache!
The cashiers at my store tried very hard but could not get the register/computer to accept both coupons. They were so kind and apologetic but finally gave up.
Since I have a dollar general really close to my house I thought this would be worth a try. I gave the cashier the dollar general coupon first and the system wouldn’t even accept their own store coupon. I double checked and as others have mentioned, there are no size restrictions. The cashier tried one more time and just said sorry it won’t take it. So I left without trying to force the issue. Would have loved for this deal to work but I guess I’ll just stick to the more coupon friendly stores. Sorry dollar general, you lost me as a customer.
After reading these reviews and hating how DG managers have treated me in the past, I went ahead with my coupons to the store today. Went through 1 employee, 2 managers, and they made a call to corporate. I stood my ground and did not move, heard sorry the register wont take it, heard cant use a man and a store coupons together, heard cant use a store internet coupon like a store in ad coupon, heard cant use the Dollar General coupon, heard “I’m an extreme couponer too and I Know not to combine coupons like this!” said the manager. lol Still stood there like well, whatcha gonna do about this till finally she said she would honor 2 coupons if I purchased both packages. What?! Why would I use coupons if I wanted to pay full price? So, hold your heads up ladies! Corporate came to the rescue and said go ahead. Yes, all of that for 2 packages of tp to wipe and flush….you’d think I tried to rob the store or something by the way I was treated, but I got my tp! lol Oh, and also was asked how many more of these coupons do I have at home like this. I wish I could take a whole church bus filled with Couponers to THIS store and buy out their tp using this deal. smh
My coupons wouldn’t scan…but my dollar general has the best workers! They read both coupons and said we don’t know why they won’t scan but they should. So they manually put them in!!! Yeah for Canton Ohio dollar general 🙂
I did not have any luck with mine. The computer would not accept the DG store coupon and I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. The manager even refused to override it for me. I put a call into corporate after I left with all of my merchandise still sitting on the counter. Was told that they were very sorry and would push it through to the district manager to look into. From the sounds of thing, it’s not a “district” issue! It’s company wide! Will be calling them back tomorrow.

My Walmart takes competitor coupons. They have the 6 pack double roll of both the ultra plush and ultra soft for $4.54. So they just took off a dollar for the dollar general coupons and then I scan my mf coupons. I had 4 of each from the paper and 4 internet coupons. So I was able to get 12 packs..since I was running out tp this couldn’t have come at a better time. Love it!
The coupons worked at our DG in Tx… However, they tried to say my Clariol coupons would only work on one kind…I told them it worked another time when I was in the store.
Think it made the mananger mad,but, I was right & wouldn’t budge.
