Michaels: One Reader’s Summer Clearance Finds
As I mentioned here, Michaels currently has a coupon available here to snag 25% off your entire purchase including sale items (valid thru 7/20 only). Plus, Michaels is hosting a Summer Clearance Sale where you can save as much as 70% off the original ticketed price! With that being said, check out the email I received from reader, Megan, regarding the deals she was able to score today at her local Michaels store:

I don’t know how regional Michaels sales are but I went in to use my 25% off your entire purchase coupon and found a bunch of 70% off summer clearance. I assumed that the coupon wouldn’t work on the clearanced items but it did! I was able to score 22 items for just under $10! Shovels, rakes, and small pails for $0.29, flip flops for $0.89, bubble wands and rocket balloons $0.59 and much more![/h2s_box]

I bought some of those shovels for my son, he loves them. And they seem to be very durable.
I scored at micheals here in Burlington, Wa too! I got some of the bubbles pictured above and found a tunnel for $3.50 after 70% off and coupon!! Plus our cat lives the tunnel as much as my daughter :)!

The coupon for 25% off says it excludes clearance items.
Yes it does and I asked about it when it did deduct. I was told if the computer takes it then it’s fine.
I bought a lot of clearance items throughout the store, and the coupon would not take off the extra 25% for them…. so guess it’s a hit and miss!
Yeah, I bought a bunch of clearance things and the coupon did not work. YMMV
The 25% worked for me in VA. I got the sand shovels $.21-$.22 each(for my daughter’s “I Dig You” Valentines) and 8 packs of bubbles $1.11-$1.12 each (for birthday good bags).
I found those same things. Great deals. Most of mine had to be adjusted as they only rang 50% off. The 25% did not work on my clearance items.

Mobile coupon worked in KY on clearance items. Our store did not have all of the shovels and watering can items though. I purchased some kitchenware plates and bowls all for under $1.
They do sell decorations for childrens rooms, I was in there yesterday and got some cute canvas paintings that say princess for my daughters room for 4.49, they had matching clocks and other cute items.
what about for boys? was that 4.49 with the 25%
I tried on Sunday. I am collecting items for my next scrap book and found some great clearance but the computer did not deduct the 25% off from those items.
I got two sleeping bags and two tent that were 70% off (came out to $5.99 each) and then the cashier brought out the coupon for 25% off and it worked.
I am in southern oregon and I just got a ton of stuff for $15! The 25% off came off of most of the items. Some items are marked with an orange tag and those things are clearance and just the price the tag shows. The 25% didn’t come off of those. But the things that were 70% off had white tags (not on clearance?) but then ring up at 70% off of the tag price. The 25% came off of all of those items. I looked at my receipt.
The summer items are on sale for 70% off not on clearence for 70% off, that’s why the 25% off coupon works with it. At least that’s what the cashier told me when she rang up my items. Lots of great things to stock up on for next summer!!
I spent $30. It took 25% off on some of my items. I got two cutensleepng bags, 2 lanterns, rain boots, 2 small first aid kits, 5 name tags, a picnic backpack, and 5 balloon rockets. Not too shabby! Thanks h2s, we are now ready for camping!
i just got a bunch of stuff. like the stuff pictured but also girls room decor, stuff for back to school (like the hard plastic things to put sandwiches in), and summer decor in/outdoor was on clearance as well. the cashier scanned my coupon and it took off about $10… THANKS!!
